As a 15 year old, it is such a good reassurance and blessing to know that there are other kids and teens whose parents also dont want them to just settle with success by this world's definition, and not bother with pursuing higher things (spiritually included).

We (my twin sister and I) are homeschooling this year, and are so glad about it... we hear so often from other people that we will not have any socialization or friends if we homeschool, but that's definitely not true because the best friends I have found are homeschooled... and with the Christian homeschool co-ops and church friends, my parents can be (and already are) well informed and be actively involved in deciding whom I hang out with.

And I am glad that they have those kind of opportunities...I want them to be able to, because they are ones responsible and answerable to God for how they raised me... I want them to be able to stand before the Lord and not be remorseful for the way they raised me... true, they're not perfect, but I think they've done a pretty good job so far... :c)

I think it's about time the spirit of Eli be removed from the hearts of Christian parents. Too many teens have run away from God and the church and gone down the wrong paths because they were not taught that they are to obey God and their parents, and too many parents are letting their teens run rampant and do whatever because they think "If I tell them no, the'll do it anyway".

Thank you so much Mr. Harris for this post--I hope that a lot of parents read your post and are blessed by it... because they are the ones that are raising the next generation of pastors, preachers, and missionaries, along with the next group of leaders (both in family and government )

Not much on my mind right now, but it's not important. I've just been letting everything happen without me. I just don't have anything to say right now.

Awesome. Not to mention the fact that parents are commanded to teach their children, "when they're coming in, and when they're going out, when they're rising up, and when they go to bed." I can't think of anytime that doesn't cover...and how can the parents teach their kids when they're not around them all day??

Prayers are with you bro,

Marshall
