The Rebelution, Moving Forward (Part 2)
Dear Friends and Rebelutionaries
Brett and I have broken our “most time between posts” record yet again, shattering the previous record of 9 days with a ground-breaking 17 days between our last post and this one.
However, as Brett and I wrote back in April, the Rebelution is moving forward. During the 17-day period between posts, Brett and I embarked on a 7-day, 7-stop Join the Rebelution tour in cities and counties across the state of Alabama. You can see one of our fliers by clicking here.
Each stop was a 2-hour, 2-session, mini-conference where Brett and I were able to communicate the message of the Rebelution to hundreds of teens and their parents from all over the state, encouraging them to take strategic action in the culture war for our generation, including the historic election taking place in Alabama on June 6th.

We are now exactly one week from the Alabama primary election (June 6th) and there is a lot of hard work to be done in a very short amount of time. Please keep us in your prayers over the next week, as well as the Alabama Supreme Court candidates we are working to elect: Justice Tom Parker, Judge Ben Hand, Colonel Hank Fowler, and Alan Zeigler.
Coming Up
Brett and I return home to Oregon on June 13th. We have an interview about the Rebelution coming out in the summer issue of The Old Schoolhouse Magazine. We’re excited about the opportunity for more homeschool families to catch the vision and join the movement.
We hope to do a lot of writing this summer on a variety of projects. Lord-willing, you will hear more about those as time goes on.
We’re also working with our fellow rebelutionaries over at Regenerate Our Culture and others on some exciting ways to advance the cause of the Rebelution in even bigger ways.
How About You?
Have any exciting projects that you’re working on? Please keep us updated on what you’re doing and let us know how we can help, pray, and promote the work you are doing to turn our culture’s expectations of young people on their head.
Email Brett and me at: rebelution [dot] blogspot [at] gmail [dot] com
Thank you all so much for your prayers! God bless you!

Hey Guys!
It was good to hear from you! You both have been in my thoughts and prayers. It is so exciting to see how God is working through you both! I probably told you this in one of my emails, but Im going to tell you agian, because I am extremley excited about it. I am going to Ireland next Wednesday for two weeks on a mission tirp. It is going to be a great opportunity to share the Gospel. Be praying for our team. We have had several set backs, especially with money. Gas prices have raised again and we are down two thousand dollars. Pray for God’s provision. Again I am so glad to hear from you and Im really excited about what you both are doing!
Always,
Your sister in Christ,
Lauren

Lauren: Yes, I do remember you telling us about that! I had forgotten that it was coming up so soon. That’s really exciting and we will both be praying for you.
Thanks so much for your prayers! Can’t wait to hear about your trip!

Has it really been 17 days? Doesn’t seem like it.
I think it is great how you’re encouraging young people to change the culture. Keep up the good work. Your fliers look good.
May God give you strength and endurance and His blessings be on all that you do.

Hey guys,
New Attitude was amazing. I met Josh while wearing my Rebelution attire and he noted that you never sent him a t-shirt. In fact, he didn’t even know you had made t-shirts. You’d better hop on that as soon as you get back home.
Anyway, glad to hear everything has been going well. Been praying for you guys and I’m excited about what God has continued to do through you!

Good to see a new post on the Rebelution’s homepage! I’m glad to hear that your mini tour of Alabama went well! I wish we could have been able to come, but things have been quite busy here lately. Elijah’s graduating from homeschool, and one of my older sisters, Lydia, is coming back in a few days from West Africa, after interning for 5 months there. I’m praying for y’all, and I hope that God blesses your work!

Note from Administrator: Dear Ted, thank you for your comments. Unfortunately, they are out of place. The purpose of the post was only to update our readers to what Brett and I are doing, not to open up discussion of the issues surrounding the campaign itself. However, if you have any further thoughts along those lines, feel free to email us at rebelution [dot] blogspot [at] gmail [dot] com.
Thanks for understanding. God bless!

Note from Administrators: Again, thank you for your comments. We understand that you have concerns. However, this is not the place to air them. If you would like to speak about the campaign itself, please email us so that we can respond more fully.
We will not respond here on the blog. Our email address is: rebelution [dot] blogspot [at] gmail [dot] com
Thank you, Ted.

Well it’s sure good to know you guys are doin’ okay!! The Lord really has given you a great gift to reach out to the world’s youth, and further, you are using that gift very wisely. I love your blog and I read it as often as I can. You’re in my thougts and prayers. And could you pray for me? My school year is just ending and I am growing much closer to our Lord, but I’ve been faced with devastating events. Pray that I would look to our Lord, and stay in his path. Thank you!
Love in Christ,
Jenni

Just wondering how the elections went…
June 13th, 2006 at 8:05 pm
Well, it looks like were getting close to that famous record… but anyway, just thought I’d say we all (or at least I) understand that you can’t be writing as much cause your practicing what you preach. Nevertheless, we definitely miss it. Still checking up all the time, but ya keep it up.
How’s it going in Rebelutionary Central?

June 15th, 2006 at 1:17 pm
well, guys, it’s now 16 days and counting. shall we expect a new post soon?
June 15th, 2006 at 3:52 pm
guys-
what you are doing is really awesome- there is a generation moving up- us- and we will become an unmistakable force. Yes, we may be a minority, but as John Adams once said, “”It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people’s minds…”
have you considered coming to idaho during one of your tours?… i think you have the potential of a big response… myself and some other teens just finished putting together a rally for our troops at our capital, along with operation completion which is founded by micah derry. we are also trying to equip teens in our state to go out in to the government through an organization called generation joshua; i’m the vice president of the idaho club…
i say all this to encourage you… we have an opportunity like never before to change our country, and our world; to transform it to our beliefs, our beliefs in a God and a judeo-christian form of government! you guys our doing a great thing, and i will continue to pray for you guys!

Thank you all for your encouragement and prayers!
Jenni: Our prayers are with you as you persevere through these trials. May God be your strength of your heart.
Katie: Thank you for your encouragement and enthusiasm. It’s great to hear what is going on in Idaho. We’d love to hear more about it and talk about ways we can work together, whether with a conference, or in some other capacity.
God bless you all!
