Technical Difficulties: Missing Paragraphs

UPDATE #2: A big ‘thank you’ to David MacMillan III for identifying the problem. Everything (as far as we know) is back to normal. God bless you, my friend.

UPDATE #1: Do any of our tech-savvy readers have ideas for how to fix this recent glitch? Brett and I have never had to manually enter “br” tags before. Now Blogger won’t display paragraphs unless we do. This seems to be a problem unique to our blog since earlier this morning.

Readers may have noticed some major formatting bugs on the blog today. This is slowly being fixed. For now, please bear with massive paragraph blocks once you leave the main page.

no tips for you, but ah, i’m not seeing any problems AT ALL on IE…
    just your computer maybe?

Jacqui: Have you looked at older posts (i.e. those not on the main page)? We’ve fixed up everything on the main page and several other “important” posts.

    Try looking here.

yup. you’re right. it’s sitting there, glaring at you…

I’ve been having problems too. You might try using a different browser. My mom had me start using FireFox. I can’t upload pictures better too. FireFox is faster.

  5. Erin Says:

I meant to say, I “can” update pictures better too, using FireFox that is.

http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/ Here’s the firefox browser info if you don’t have it

  7. David S. MacMillan III Says:

To start with, you need to download Firefox from the button on my site. Because, after all, then you get the Google Toolbar for Firefox pre-installed. Plus, I get a dollar whenever it is downloaded….

In order to fix the glitch, go to your blog settings and go to the “Formatting” tab. Scroll down to the “Convert line breaks” section and make sure that the value is set to “Yes”. Then scroll all the way down and click “Save Settings”.

If that doesn’t do it, shoot me an email and I’ll see what I can do.

Of course I would recommend switching over to WordPress anyway … which is what I am about to do….

    In Him,

    David S. MacMillan III

Erin: Thanks, Erin! Actually, we already have and use Firefox, but thanks for the suggestion. We agree. It’s the best.

David: First, thank you. It’s fixed now.

Second, I can’t believe I didn’t think of that. We haven’t touched our settings in so long that I forgot all about that particular one. I don’t know how it was changed.
