Taking Care of the Ladies
Daniel, age four, is more of a man than most adult men. He reports on three ways he takes care of the ladies in his family and challenges us all. Thank you to reader, Danielle, for recommending this video in light of our current series on chivalry.
Visit Vision Forum’s Everyday News Network, where you will find other short videos highlighting the everyday things of family life, all told with charm and sometimes humor by young boys and girls from around the country.
The stories are brief and simple, but the message is timeless and profound: the life of a family living in accordance with God’s Word is beautiful, exciting, and full of joy.

I love it! I watched it last night and showed it to my parents. He reminds me of my little brother. I will be showing it to all of my brothers, too.

btw- I appreciate this series. It helped me out the other day. I was moving my computer into the family room, and I was carrying the computer tower(or whatever you call it) and the mouse, keyboard and speaker. My 13 year old brother came in and asked to help me carry it, and I told him I had it. As soon as I said it I felt horrid. But I realized I could get him to carry the monitor, and that would be an even bigger help, because it’s heavier.

Great youtube video -made me smile.
Congrats on your website and it’s success. What you write is truely worth reading. I was referred to your site through WORLD Magazine. Man, how great is that? You get a review written by world on your blog.
Keep up the good stuff,

Aww…just like my four year old brothers (twins!)–except when they forget that we aren’t the bad animals.
They’re the sweetest things, always opening doors and offering to help carry things…I’m so blessed!

So cute, he dumped the trash even though he could barely reach the lid!! Very charming:)

I watched this clip when it first came out. The Everyday News has a consistent viewer in me! This one was one of the best, and everyone in my family enjoyed it a great deal. The way he opened the car door was cute, and his sister was so ladylike!

Thanks for posting a very unique clip.

There is a sweet little girl out there that is definetly going to appreciate this little gentlemen’s chivalry now and certinaly in the future.
I don’t think most men understand how much we desire this man in our lives. How willingly and joyfully we will serve such a gentlmen…
Thank you for sharing.

Kevin: It might be more than you are now, but it’s not more than you could ever be. You need to start “doing hard things,” stretching yourself and growing in this area. You might not have hold of it yet, but it’s not beyond reach. God’s arm is not short and by His grace anything is possible. =)

Man, if every little boy were taught to be like that at such a young age…our world would be a different place. *grin* The kid is adorable, but even more than that, his baby talk and sheer enthusiasm communicate depth and meaning not only to guys, but us girls as well… So thanks for posting the video

Daniel is such an adorable boy. I have watched the video at least 5 times and I humbly thanked his parents each time. I really have a long ways to go to be worthy of a Godly young man that four-year-old Daniel already is, but praise God “I can do all things through Christ who strenghtens me!” Phillipians 4:13 NIV
Thanks Alex and Brett for a fantastic blog and thanks Mr. & Mrs. Harris for training your children in the ways of the Lord!

well, if my parents let ME have a gun, i would so shoot the bad animals too
January 11th, 2007 at 12:58 pm
I really liked that clip, I showed it to my brothers! It is really encouraging to see little Christian gentlemen out there! Keep up the good work!!!
January 17th, 2007 at 8:25 am
There must be a gentlemanly daddy behind this!
January 23rd, 2007 at 8:20 am
That is so sweet, yet so rare. As PheobeJoy said, there has to be a gentlemanly father training this young man. When I am a mother, I want my sons to follow their fathers example and be gentlemen such as this.

This video is so adorable! Thanks for posting it!

i hope there are still guys like that because nowadays, you can hardly find them. so, ladies, be thankful if you got one. and pray for one if you don’t have any because the thought that you are taken care of is really heart-warming…
March 8th, 2007 at 7:21 pm
That is soooo cute! The girl who gets hi someday is a lucky one. But… I’m a girl and I’d rather take out the garbage any day than do the dishes or something! I on’t know where in the bible it says that it’s a man’s job to take out the garbage.
March 16th, 2007 at 7:38 pm
oh my goodness, that is soooooo cute! very touching too. that little boy’s future mate is going to be one blessed lady lol. too bad every little boy isn’t taught to treat ladies this way, and at that young age that’s so critical in the development of their character!
p.s. to Amanda: the Bible doesn’t say that’s it’s the man’s job to take out the garbage lol, but i guess that’s just one of those things that’s typically taken to be a “manly job” and they used that as an illustration.
March 29th, 2007 at 11:59 pm
It’s awesome that at the age of 4 Daniel has already chilvarous attrubites and as Amanda said Yep that lady is going to be very blessed to be married to him.
O Well as excepted, Daniel is so CUTE LOL!!
June 10th, 2007 at 10:27 am
hey. Thanx for that clip
it was cute!
June 15th, 2007 at 3:28 pm
That was so cute! It also has a good message. Thanks for posting it.
June 28th, 2007 at 5:54 pm
That was one of the sweetest things we ever saw!
August 2nd, 2007 at 9:43 am
Now there is no excuse that a young man (or any man for that matter) cannot be a gentleman. If a sweet little four year old boy can be a gentleman, certainly teenage guys and men can too.
That little boy’s parents should be very proud of how they raised their son.
September 9th, 2007 at 12:57 pm
Aww…He is so cute! We could all learn a lesson from this little guy.
December 15th, 2007 at 10:37 am
Wow! That little boy is already such a gentlemen at such a young age! That little boy has a great message…I know some girls don’t want guys to do things for them because they don’t want to be seen as “weaker”, but it isn’t a sign of weakness at all. I respect those guys that hold doors open for girls, walk them to their cars, etc.! Thanks for sharing that video!!!
March 26th, 2008 at 6:16 am
Loved it! It’s so true what you said about him being more of a man than most other men today. We need more Daniels out there!
May 6th, 2008 at 1:27 pm
