David Rasmussen: Lighting, Camera, Video
David Rasmussen demonstrates the use of a portable dark room which he uses when handling 16mm film for his Aaton Camera (shown left).

“David Rasmussen is a competent man,” says Geoff Botkin, “And we all need to learn from competent men.” Not only that, but he has taught his two sons, (l-r) Tyler (14) and Dane (11), to be extremely competent as well. They did a professional job setting up his 200, 500, and 1K watt lights.

Mr. Rasmussen is covering everything from tripod use to lens care, light reading to magazine replacement in this very thorough, extremely practical session.

I’m glad to see that this year’s academy is more practical. The absence of practical demonstrations was my main complaint with last year’s academy. I’m glad to see we’re moving forward, not by baby steps, but by leaps and bounds.
