Extreme Meetings Technology
One of the exciting new features of the 2006 Christian Filmmakers Academy is the use of Extreme Meetings! technology, which allows students and faculty to receive live, demographic data from academy attendees as a whole.
Every student is given a small keypad with which to vote on questions and surveys, which appear on the large screens on either side of the room. Votes are then tallied and shown on the screens or just on the computers of the faculty.

This technology looks to allow the academy faculty to refine their presentations to best suit the needs of attendees. We’re excited to see how it continues to be used.
Some interesting results from a preliminary survey of the 200+ attendees:
+ 72 percent of attendees are primarily interested in feature films.
+ 40% percent of attendees said their current primary need is scripts.
+ 32% percent of attendees use Macs exclusively for their video work.

Wow, that’s nice! Sounds like it could be really useful for presenters. Also interesting is the current lack of scripts.
Thanks a lot for covering this, by the way, I’m really looking forward to reading all the posts

Yah. I need some editing software. I’m really interested in computer stuff. I wasn’t before but I’ve decided to become a “well-rounded person” as my mom puts it. Plus I think film can help spread the gospel like in Passion of the Christ. My friend started a stunt video production called Double Dimwits but I want him to use it as a witnessing tool.
