Men O’ War: An Epic Tale on a Sea of Foaming LEGOs
During our coverage of the Christian Filmmakers Academy earlier this month, we used production screenshots and a teaser trailer to introduce our readers to the short film Men O’ War. Written, storyboarded, modeled, animated, and scored entirely by the Botkin siblings, this film was a big hit among academy students.
We’re excited to announce that the film, in its entirety, is now available in multiple formats online, through Isaac Botkin’s blog Outside Hollywood.
This four-minute animated short is more than just entertaining. It is a wonderful example of the three pillars of the Rebelution in action. The Botkins are a testimony to the effectiveness of a God-fearing, capable, and tight-knit family.

Thank you gentlemen for posting this. I am looking forward to reading Mr. Botkin’s blog.
You are right in saying those kind words about the Botkin family. I know I was really inspired and ecnouraged by their visit to our church. Mrs. Botkin particularlly gave me some kind words of encouragement that I will never forget!

Fascinating - that a 4 minute clip of Legos can captivate a viewer and send a message of valor and right vs. wrong at the same time. That is, I believe, a testimony to the power of quality production (and a Biblical worldview) in the arts. When the credits rolled up I couldn’t help being amazed and grateful for the immense potential God gives to families. Thanks for pointing that out.
And thank you very much for covering the Academy and Festival so thoroughly. Two of my family members attended, and we at home sincerely appreciated the ability to follow some of what they learned and did. The videos and interviews were a special hit. We hope you do it again next year!
