This war- nor those who engineer it- can be described as Godly, and I ask, why- Harris Duo- haven’t you addressed this problem? And more to the point, I respectfully challenge you to consider how responsible is it to take a fragment of a speech and distort its point, to make that the focus of your attention when an unGodly war is being waged? And that man was the only viable option for stopping it?

Really great cartoon there, Brett! I do agree that we need lots more of our political cartooners to have your approach (rather than all favoring the liberals, as they seem to be)… You should do more!

In response to the few who’ve mentioned that John Kerry has been “placed over us by God”, I have to respectfully say that I don’t think this is true. God doesn’t directly appoint our leaders…he gave us the gift of FREE WILL, and in this country of America, we have the ability to use it in a huge way by electing our leaders. And unfortunately, while many of us here (I hope!) pray for God’s will to be done on election day, the majority of voters probably vote without that in mind at all. In other words, God doesn’t control the results of our elections as if we were puppets (although it would be wonderful if He did sometimes, don’t you think?). In light of this, I believe that a candidate such as Kerry is really NOT a truly God-given leader. In fact, I think it’s possible that some of our most corrupt “leaders” are permitted by God as a kind of chastisement. That is not to say that Christ cannot still work through and despite corrupted politics…He’s an expert at taking what would appear to be a mess and making some good come out of it. All Praise be to Him for his ever-far-reaching mercy to us!

Recall 2004 please, the guy has a track record of saying things and then covering up when it backfires. What I’m saying is, it’s John Kerry’s character to do this.

As far as the republican abandonment after it being “proven”. In different cases, it wasn’t proven it was fabricted. That however is pretty off topic…if you want the details on that, contact me. (strange, I know that girl *grin*)

I think we all tend to fall into that trap at one point or another. I’d like to note that we don’t always cover our own. Look at Delay, Karen Harris in Florida, Reed in Georgia, or Mark Foley. We’re not all covering for that, a few individuals will, but the Republican as a party has pretty much abandoned them.

What is so funny about Kerry is that whenever he says what he really means, his foot winds up in his mouth.

Yes double stndards exist, they always will. However when you have a track record like Mr. Kerry, the botched joke line becomes questionable.
