How could Jesus be filled with grace then? Was He really filled with something He didn't merit? "The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, <b>full of grace</b> and truth." John 1:14 And if grace is unmerited, why would God only give it to the humble? Do they merit what cannot be merited? "But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble."" James 4:6 Is grace really “unmerited favour towards those who deserve wrath”?
How could Jesus be filled with grace then? Was He really filled with something He didn’t merit?
