NEWS FLASH: Rebelutionaries Connect in Virginia
Richmond, VA — Sources in Virginia have recently obtained photographic proof of an alliance between two members of the Rebelution — a worldwide movement of Christian young people rebelling against what they call “low expectations.”
The two young ladies have been identified as JoAnna Talbott, an original member of the Rebelution Forum’s elite Honor Roll, and Hännah “Jacqui” Schlaudt, a longtime rebelutionary, blogger, and key member of Regenerated Magazine.
The most recent meeting between the two is believed to have taken place at a graduation party for Hännah last weekend, where the above photograph was taken by an investigative reporter posing as a younger sibling.
Joanna and Hännah connected through a top secret map of rebelutionaries from across the United States and in 17 other countries, discovering that they lived only 15 minutes apart. It didn’t take long for an alliance to form.
“[Joanna's] such an encourager,” wrote Hännah in a letter intercepted by a National Scoop reporter. “She’s always pointed me to the Lord and is so focused on His goodness… She’s been an amazing example to me.”
Growing Movement Sparks Concern
This development is only the latest in a growing number of “get-togethers” between members of the Rebelution. In December 2005 the Scoop exposed a late-night meeting in the nation’s capitol between Tim “Agent Tim” Sweetman of Agent Tim Online and Rebelution founders Alex and Brett Harris.
Last March saw an unprecedented gathering of over 500 rebelutionaries in Northern California. Insides sources have revealed plans for four even larger gatherings this summer in California, Colorado, Texas, and Indiana, with more scheduled for 2008.
Almost exactly a year ago, the Scoop reported on a meeting between Kristin Braun (a.k.a. Spunky Jr.) and Hannah Farver, two of the three authors of Beauty from the Heart, a rebelutionary blog for Christian young women. Hannah has since been identified as a critical part of the host team for the Texas gathering in July.
Recent weeks have also seen rumors of a get-together in D.C. between Agent Tim and David Ketter of The Account, along with confirmed plans for a rebelutionary get-together next Monday night in Louisville, Kentucky.
“The movement definitely seems to be growing, and fast,” lamented long-time Rebelution observer, Wurld Lee Kulture. “These Christian kids think they can ‘do hard things’ as teenagers. Worse yet, they are! It could ruin everything.”

I meet Agent Tim at the Boyce college preview in March. Though, I must confess, I did not know he was a rebelutionary until the last day of the preview. Probably because he is a sercet agent ;).
