The NEW Rebelution Map
Long-time rebelutionaries will remember The Rebelution Frappr Map — always one of the most popular aspects of the Rebelution community. Unfortunately, over the past six months, Frappr took a turn for the worse. Hundreds of rebelutionaries’ pins were lost (multiple times) and the interface became increasingly hard to work with. Several weeks ago, Brett and I made the tough decision to get rid of it.
Today, we’re excited to announce The New Rebelution Map, powered by Buddy Mapping, a new and bona fide Frappr-killer developed by 19-year-old Computer Engineering major Ben Gotow. The new map is simple, sharp, and easy to use.
So what are you waiting for? Adding yourself to the map only takes a minute. You’ll just enter your name, general location (e.g. city or Zip Code), and email address — just like on a blog comment. You also have the option of loading a picture and post a shout-out for us and your fellow rebelutionaries.
As the map grows, be sure to zoom in to locate rebelutionaries in your area. If you’re lucky, you may be the first rebelutionary in your state (or country) to join the map. You can use it to track your success in spreading the Rebelution in your community as a pioneer. Let’s cover the map.

Excellent choice in switching to Buddy Mapping, lads—I personally like it very much better and think it is easier to use.
While I know it’s not really an important thing, after so many months of interacting, it’s a treat to get to see what so many of my Rebelutionary friends actually LOOK like! I love discovering the ones from my state, too.
Let’s fill it up again!:)

Thank you! I loved the idea, but buddy is way nicer looking and much more fun to work on than frappr. It’s easy to find people either in the list or on the map. Great job! Now if we could just get more rebelutionaries in Kentucky…

There’s a HUGE cluster of people in D/FW Texas! (that’s where I am) I wonder if the conference has anything to do with it…….

holy cats! I thought I was the only one in all of southern MO that cared about making a difference; I was wrong. And, I know a couple of the people in my region from ages ago…Sweetness! Thanks for putting up the map.
