<description>Hi Kyleigh! I really loved your post. As I was reading it, I thought "Wow...that sounds just like me." I've noticed how I've been slacking off and not being as determined with the piano and guitar, like you also said in the article. Thank you for writing this. You've given me a lot of encouragement!! Now I'll go out and learn some new songs. Or build a spaceship! ;)

<description>I totally agree! I am 13 too...and I have given up on so many things when I probably should have kept going..and prayed to God to help me keep going through with it! I've quit about 4 instruments because they were either to hard or I thought they were boring. But now, I've found one that I really enjoy playing...the piano! I am really glad that I read this Blog. It was very encouraging and well put! Great job Kyleigh!!! :)

<description>ONE does things those who profess Christ should being doing. However I would admonish those who love Christ to do this in a manner which does not become another voice for Bono's humanistic agenda.

Do we need to love and help the poor? Yes. Would Jesus reach out to those who are despised, rejected, and afflicted with AIDS? Undoubtedly. But would Christ do it in a manner that promotes man's "goodness"? Would Christ do it through an avenue who's worldview and agenda excuses sexual sin? A philosophy that robs God of His supreme glory? I doubt it.

Bono's message screams of humanism and sadly ignores God. All you have to do is go to the ONE home page and you're confronted with "To Make Poverty History". But Jesus said, "The poor you will always have with you".

But before I end up making this a self-righteous tirade, let me say this. Chris is trying to do hard things. Chris is doing something. I am sitting on my couch blogging and doing nothing. We should hear Chris' plea and be motivated into action. Maybe this can take a turn and become a discussion on starting a new Christ-exalting project to these needy people. Has not God chosen those who are poor to be rich in faith? Has He not chosen the things that are not to nullify the things that are? I believe God has a special watch over and place for those who experience suffering in this life.

They need Christ. Physical help and humanistic philosophy only make people comfortably slide into hell. To do that is really no loving care at all. While Bono probably does these "good" things because he has found no lasting satisfaction in the "rock star" life and seeks it elsewhere - while his motives probably on their deepest level are not motivated by love but to find some purpose for himself - he has shamed us.

What are we going to do to be Christ's nail scarred hand extending out to the needy around us? The hand that not only touches the physical need, but uses that missionally to address the much more important need of the soul.

I am the guiltiest of all. We need to pray for the heart and eyes of Christ. I thank God that He even uses dishonorable vessels like Bono to awaken the vessels He has appointed for honorable use. May our hearts be stirred to action. May we also pray that these influential individuals would see and savor Christ, and thus continue their excellent work to the glory of His name. By appropriately coming alongside them perhaps we can be a light to that end.

We owe Chris a thank you for being brave enough to act and call others to follow. My prayer is that God's working in you would not be humanly wasted but be used mightily for His name as you are sensitive to Him. I trust that by His grace He is doing great things through you. Keep up the good work and keep Him preeminent and you will have a work which will not burn up but stand the test.</description>

<description>Hi, I am a member of ONE and I was wondering if you guys support Bono’s ONE Campaign? I think it would be great if you did a post urging your reads to sign the ONE declaration at ONE.org.
Thanks.
