Indy Photos and Tour Recap Video
We started writing a brief recap of the 2007 Rebelution Tour and we realized that it would be so much better to just throw together a little video sharing some of our thoughts and memories from this conference season.
Also, pictures from Indianapolis are now up in the conference section and on Flickr. Thank you to all of our incredible photographers: Erin Koller, Liza Hartman, Amber Walsh, and Chris Leclerc. God bless you guys!
UPDATE: Fellow rebelutionary Hannah Michelle has posted a great recap video from the Indianapolis conference with footage from the sessions and (embarrassing) bloopers from a certain twin named Alex. You can check it out by clicking here.

Great re-cap! Enjoyed it very much.
September 22nd, 2007 at 2:10 pm
God is good, no? I find myself saying that so often I sound like a broken record.
Love your shirt Alex- I been wanting to add it to my wardrobe lately.
Y’all’s recap made me want to have been there so much!
thanks for letting God use you guys in such a mighty way.

Great re-cap. I really wish I could’ve come to one of the conferences! Definitely makes me want to go next year.
September 22nd, 2007 at 3:23 pm
Very cool! God IS good Laura, I do the same thing.
Do you guys know where the conference tour is going to be next year? I hope that we can make it this time….:)
Thanks for all you do! To God be the glory!!!
September 22nd, 2007 at 3:54 pm
You guys are so funny! I love the end of that video. Twin moment?

And my sister, dad and I made it into the photos. Cool!
It really was the best event I’ve ever been to. It was worth every second of the 16 hours.
God bless you guys!
September 22nd, 2007 at 4:05 pm
Haha… Thanks, Katrina. It was great to meet your whole family.
Actually, it wasn’t a twin moment, I was just using my mad-mimicking skills to annoy him.
September 22nd, 2007 at 4:10 pm
Ditto about the end of the video, Katrina! I have one of those T-shirts myself
I’m counting the days (basically) until the next conference!
Blessings, Emma
September 22nd, 2007 at 4:19 pm
Haha, you’re really good at mimicking, Alex! I thought you guys must have practiced beforehand
Loved the video!
September 22nd, 2007 at 5:49 pm
(I’ve been….)
*smacks forehead*
It sounded almost like y’all had a script! annoying siblings rocks.
September 22nd, 2007 at 6:10 pm
Haha… We decided to do the mimicking after I started doing it earlier, but we didn’t have any script. It’s actually harder to follow right behind someone when you know what they’re going to say.
September 22nd, 2007 at 6:14 pm
Haha! So it was planned! And you know, you had the exact same expression on your face when Brett looked at you, that my little brother gives me when he’s been annoying me on purpose…. I’ll write to Brett and tell him that I can sympathize. *giggles*
September 22nd, 2007 at 6:25 pm
Lol! Great video guys!
The confrence was amazing. God has really used you both.
When are you going to have to audios up?
Eric
September 22nd, 2007 at 6:26 pm
I’m not sure what exactly is the best thing to say… but will just leave a verse here that has been ringing in my mind for the last couple weeks.
Whoever speaks, let him speak, as it were, the utterances of God; whoever serves, let him do so as by the strength which God supplies; so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
1 Peter 4:11
September 22nd, 2007 at 6:32 pm
HEE HEE. lol. You have sweet mimicking skills, Alex.
Brothers are awesome, no?
Loved the video! Sounds like God really used the conference for his glory. He is so good!
And I so need one of those t-shirts.
September 22nd, 2007 at 6:37 pm
P.S. Is the only way to get a Rebelution shirt at one of the conferences? Or can I order one online somewhere?
September 22nd, 2007 at 6:55 pm
Thanks Alex. It was very awesome to meet your (almost) whole family too! I hope we can meet again sometime. Your mad-mimicking skills are pretty amazing.
Another one of your amazing hard things you’ve done.
And the t-shirts are great, by the way. My friends that I got them for love them.
September 22nd, 2007 at 7:12 pm
Thanks for that re-cap guys! Sounds like the tours were really awesome! I’ve been praying for ya’. =)
By the way, the end of the of the video was hilarious! Great job. lol

Eric, we’ll have the audio up sometime next week — that’s the plan.
Elisabeth, we’re working on getting the t-shirts available for sale online. We’ll keep you posted!
September 22nd, 2007 at 8:19 pm
Praise God! Thanks for sharing some of those stories. It is so exciting to see God using the message He has given you!
September 22nd, 2007 at 8:56 pm
What did the T-shirt say? I haven’t seen it before.

September 22nd, 2007 at 9:15 pm
Wow, great clip! Thanks for sharing. I really want to make it to one of the conferences next year. I agree–the end of the movie was perfect!
September 22nd, 2007 at 11:17 pm
Awesome stuff! I can’t wait for a chance to come to the conference sometime! Soooo…when are you coming to the Northwest???
I commend you guys on all your fabulous hard things! Haha…love the mimicking!!!

KeiJoy: There are several different kinds of T-shirts. The one I have (the girl cut) is navy blue, with a spray of wheat down on the lower left-hand quarter of the shirt, and on the back is a round thing, the size of a small plate, with DO HARD THINGS really big on it. Sorry that was probably confusing, but the shirt is hard to describe
September 23rd, 2007 at 10:28 am
sounds like you guys are really doing excellent work. way to go! i enjoyed watching this video and looking at all the pics to get a small idea of what the tour was like. thanks for glorifying God with your lives, it’s wonderful to see.
September 23rd, 2007 at 11:18 am
That was a very amazing video….
The last 16 seconds are freakishly reminiscent of kirsten (my twin) and myself when we collaborate on stuff. :c)
September 23rd, 2007 at 11:19 am
Elisabeth and myself (since we are identical twins) very frequently find ourselves doing that (in the last 15 sec.) It’s nice to know we aren’t the only twins who do that….

I’m excited about all that God has in store for the Rebelution. What you guys are doing is awesome! As I looked through the pictures (I didn’t get to go to Indy) and watched your guys’ video, it made me want to weep. This is a part of what our generation has been waiting for. A call to something more than the low standards of society. A call to the belief that the teen years can be years of great things, and that God can use you no matter your age.
The best is yet to come!
September 23rd, 2007 at 5:16 pm
“I don’t have to waist any my tean years.” God is so good! I almost cried when I heard you quote that ten year old boy.
I so enjoyed that movie! And oh man! Your mimicking… talk about twin momentum!
Rejoicing in God for all he has done and all he is doing through you and this generation!

Thanks for sharing the video! It was fun to watch!
September 24th, 2007 at 6:07 am
I loved hearing about what happened!
Just out of curiosity… do you guys ever plan on doing the Rebelution Conference anywhere in the Middle East, say, Dubai?
And I have to ditto everything everyone said about the end of the video… ’twas very funny! My brother does that sometimes, but he’s still working on getting it to sound like the person.
God bless

LOVED THE VIDEO!!!! ABSOLUTELY LOVED THE ENDING!!!!
It made me smile and laugh really really hard!
Hope you guys are doing well! I miss being at the conference! Blessings on you both!

Steph

I loved seeing all the photos of the conference. I must say that I love how your entire family goes with you. You aren’t teens who hate your family, at least it appears that way to me. Unfortuantely, my computer blocks the video, so I can’t see it. However, it sounds great.
Oh, I wanted to say that Alex, I liked the question that you posed to the candidates at the Values Voter Debate. Very good thing to know.
September 24th, 2007 at 10:52 am
Hmmm…I think your comment box hates me…I’ll keep trying…
Now *that* is the perfect way to re-cap! Fantabulous! We get to see what you felt like about the tour as well as hear it. Totally funny ending, too! Your humor was actually what surprised me in person. Must be God’s gift to guys.
*sigh* Can we do it again?!
Also, I wanted to let you know, my video from Indy is now up on the front page of my blog. (After Premiere finally got over its royal freeze-up fit!) So come over and watch, ’cause you’re in it!
Maybe next time I can capture some of those mad-mimicking skills…
September 24th, 2007 at 12:23 pm
LOVED the video!!! And Alex, that is totally something my brother would do…only I thought that younger brothers were supposed to being annoying not the other way around!
September 24th, 2007 at 12:24 pm
oops..haha…forgot that you guys are twins!
September 24th, 2007 at 6:27 pm
Thanks for the re-cap! It is so encouraging to hear what the Lord has been doing thru y’all and the Rebelution tour. He is definitely using y’all for His glory!
Haha I love the end too; it reminds me of something I’d do to my sister.
September 24th, 2007 at 8:15 pm
Hey, I was wondering what Alex’s shirt says. Again, that’s an awesome video, thanks for making it.
September 25th, 2007 at 10:12 am
Heehee.
I like the video very much, especially the end.
I’d also like to know what Alex’s shirt says.
September 25th, 2007 at 10:17 am
Oh, and I meant to mention, I like Brett’s hat very much.
September 25th, 2007 at 11:40 am
I wish I had a twin. You two are hilarious!!! Alex, you’re a laugh. I showed this to my sibs and told them how old you guys are, and they loved it.
September 25th, 2007 at 4:15 pm
As someone with a ” Would it bother it more if they used guns?” T-shirt, the one that Alex was wearing, I would definitely encourage you all to get one. Whenever I wear it on campus, or just out shopping I get sooo many stares of concentration~ I can definitely tell that people are thinking! The pink color just adds to the look of confusion.
You can get one at “Abort73.com”.
Oh, and ditto on the comments on “twin mimicking power”!!
September 25th, 2007 at 5:44 pm
Hey guys,
September 25th, 2007 at 5:45 pm
umm…not quite sure what happened. Anyway, just wanted to say I loved the Indy conference. I had really high expectations and they were all exceeded! thanks a milllion for all the work you guys put into it! Oh, and also thanks for providing modest tshirts for the girls….I thought that was cool. I love mine (the girls’ cut.).
September 26th, 2007 at 11:32 am
Hey Guys! I loved the Video! Ditto to everyone who said they loved the ending… I wasn’t expecting it, which made it even funnier.
I can’t wait until your book comes out. I have been reading So Much More, by Anna Sofia and Elizabeth Botkin. It is directed towards teen girls, but I think that anyone would benefit from it. It has really changed my outlook on the role that God has created for Daughters, and His calling on my life. Just wanted to pass it on.
I love your shirt, Alex. (And yours, Brett!! *grins*) Thanks for putting that together. It was neat to hear your perspective on the conferences. I know that I really enjoyed being at the Dallas Conference! Thanks so much for doing a hard thing and being willing to come and let God use you in such a powerful way. I know that I needed that message.
God Bless!
Mandy

I love your Hat Brett!! and the song was an excellent choice. I really really want to go to the Reb tour now!!
-MJ
P.S. Alex, what did your entire shirt say?
September 30th, 2007 at 2:32 pm
oh you guys are sooo funny. I laughed about that ending on your movie.
October 5th, 2007 at 4:30 pm
…I don’t know why I decided to wait until LONG after to post about the re-cap, but anyway, here I am…:) It wasn’t until recently that I found out that you both did tours! (yes, go ahead and ask, “Where have YOU been?”) I’d love to attend one day.
The end of your lil’ movie totally caught me off guard. Everything you had been saying until then was so serious and thought-provoking… And then you guys were suddenly being goofy and, excuse me, acting like boys.
Did your Dad ever tell you not to misbehave in front of the camera? The mimicking thing was incredible. My brothers were so amused! It was great!
October 16th, 2007 at 7:21 am
Oh wow! The ending of your little clip reminded me of my days of mimicking. Since I’m in the middle of six kids in my family I’ve have been in both roles. I’ve been the annoyer and the annoyee.
Alex, isn’t so much fun to mimick people?
And Brett, enjoy it while it lasts!
October 22nd, 2007 at 5:52 pm
Hi Alex and Brett! I thought the skit was phenomenal! You both are doing an amazing job with this ministry. My friend just showed me this today, and I just about started crying, all of this, this whole site is just incredible. I too am a strong christian and love God with all my heart, just like you two! I just thought you should get the thanks and applauds needed for a job fantastically done! Way to go you two! Keep up the k=good work. Let God work through you and trust me, everything will go smoothly. Keep it real!
ps:I loved your video, and I have to say it had quite an impact on me, and the end was hillarious too! Brotherly love, isn’t it beautidul? lol…;-)
