Cool! I was so happy I was able to get a shirt at the conference. The other day, I ran into someone else who was wearing one; that was a surprise! :)
Are you guys relieved to have your book finished? I can’t wait to get one. :D

  2. Emma Says:

I have one already to; I love it! I’ll send in a picture to, as soon as I find a good one…. :D

    Same here about the book!

  3. Emma Says:

    Sorry, “too”

  4. Trevor Says:

That’s awesome! I’ll have to consider getting one of these.

  5. Gracie Martin Says:

Right in time for Christmas/my birthday!!!!

    You guys are sneaky…

  6. Trevor Says:

My envelope’s ready with a check inside. I have to go put it in the mailbox! I chose the “Paint” style… anyone else?

  7. Brett Harris Says:

Trevor: Great! The “Paint” shirt is the one I wear the most frequently. :)

  8. Kyleigh Says:

    *sigh of jealousy*
Just as I have basically no money… you guys decide to put up some shirts for sale…

Not that having money would help, I wouldn’t be able to choose which one to get! :P

  9. Brett Harris Says:

Kyleigh: The Rebelution operates on a “Pay-What-You-Can” basis. If you can’t afford the registration fees for our conferences or for a t-shirt we are willing to make them available for less — even for free! Obviously if you don’t have money because you spent it all on comic books we might not consider your request — but shoot me an email and let me know your situation. :)

That goes for anyone who would like a shirt but can’t afford it for good reasons. Email us and let us know. Don’t be shy. We want to bless you in this way. :)

  10. Kyleigh Says:

It’s not that I’m not able to afford it… but thanks. It’s more of an “I have so many other things I’m saving for at the moment that almost everything goes into savings.”

… and at the moment I’m now considering getting one because one of the things I was saving for I no longer want. :)

Just a quick question, though: Do the t-shirts say anything other than “Do Hard Things” on them?

    Thanks and God bless
    Kyleigh

  11. Jazzy Dytes Says:

I don’t know if I could really get one, though I would really love too. Philippines - too far, too expensive. ;-) Tsk tsk…

  12. Sarah Modene Says:

That’s so awesome that the shirts are available online now- I just reserved one of the “Wheat” shirts. Can’t wait to wear it…! (AND they fit my very high standards of being fashionable, too!) ; )

  13. R.M Says:

The t-shirts are nice! I like the “Pay-What-You can,” but I almost can’t help but think I’d be taking advantage if I took that route. In truth, I don’t really need another shirt, but maybe someone else I know would appreciate the thought if I bought it for them…

  14. Katie Marie Says:

The paint one is definitely the best. :D My mother bought it for me at the Dallas conference, and I think it is the most beautiful color of gray I’ve ever seen. (And I’m not kidding; I love it.) Unfortunately, I managed to splash bleach on it nearly the second time I wore it, so I may just think about ordering a replacement.

There’s to anyone who is wondering which one to get! :)

  15. Annaka J. Says:

I’m so happy you guys are selling them online! Sadly I was to far away from any of your conferences, so I couldn’t get them there. =(
I ordered a Wheat and Paint one. Can’t wait to get and wear them. =P

    God bless!!

    ~Annaka J.

  16. Brett Harris Says:

Kyleigh: They all include our website address on the sleeve, but other than that they just say “Do Hard Things”… :)

  17. Natasha Victoria Says:

Hmm..I’m thinking about one. I just can’t choose!! I like them all.

For next years conference, can you do some in pink for some of us girl Rebelutionaries? ;-D

  18. Amanda Bush Says:

OOOH! I can’t wait to get one! My sister got the last one in my size at the Dallas conference, and I’ve been waiting for Y’all to have them available online.

I’ll go and reserve one now!

    In Christ,
    Amanda

P.S. I’m glad you guys are back on the blog regularly. I can’t wait for the book to come out!

  19. ariadne Says:

    cool!

  20. Becky W. Says:

    Coolness!

Do the girls’ cut T-shirts run smaller than the unisex ones? I know in the stores I have to wear a size XL in regular old shirts (well, Junior version) but I wear a S in T-shirts . . . so just wondering.

Can’t wait for all the awesome posts to start coming again! :-D

  21. Emma Says:

Not speaking with any finality, I believe that the girl cuts are smaller. I am about average height and build for a teen girl, and the small works for me. But I have a friend who bought the medium, and that works for both of us, too. :D

  22. Brett Harris Says:

Becky and Emma: You can check out this page for dimensions. Scroll down to the bottom:

    http://www.therebelution.com/apparel/

  23. Sophie Says:

Just wondering… will you be selling them at the conference at MD? Or will they have changed from “wheat” to ______ “paint” to_____ ect.?

Oh, and how much will the “tickets” be at your conference-to-come?
Just making sure I save enough money
    Thanks!!!

    PS- I LOVE the shirts!

  24. Heidi Says:

This is a great idea!! I do, however, have a suggestion…
I think these shirts would be much more attractive to people if you had them made in more varied colors. We light-featured people (unlike you striking Harrises) look like ghosts in dark/bold colors. I would buy a shirt in a heartbeat if you guys had some lighter colors - light blues, greens, purples.
Thanks for all you do to impact the Kingdom of God!!
    Heidi

  25. Alex Jordan Harris Says:

Sophie: We will be selling t-shirts at the conference in Maryland, but I don’t know if they’ll be the same ones. We’re hoping to have some new designs for 2008.

Heidi: We have personally found that everyone looks smashing in a Do Hard Things shirt… But we may bit a bit biased. ;)

We’re definitely planning on some lighter colors for our shirt designs next year. :)

  26. Alex Jordan Harris Says:

Sophie: Sorry, I missed your question. Early online or mail-in registration is $10 less than registering at the door — at about $25 per teen, $15 per adult. :)

  27. Emma Says:

I agree that more colors would be nice, but I am blonde, and I am very satisfied with the navy blue. The “striking Harrises” hit the right shade. :D

  28. Sophie Says:

One more question. Will you still be able to get these t-shirts online even if you sell different designed ones at the Maryland conference?
    Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!! Merry Christmas!

  29. Jordan Diann Says:

These are such awesome shirts! I am so glad they are finally online. I’ve wanted to get more since the Sac Conference. My question would be, if we wanted to get a large order for a youth group, 25+ would there be a break in price?

I just keep smiling because between the book and the Tshirts, all the birthdays of all my teenage friends are definitely taken care of… for a while at least. :P

    Love in Christ,
    Your Sister
    Jordan

  30. Brett Harris Says:

Jordan: We can definitely offer a price-break for large orders. How does 10% off orders of 10 or more sound?

  31. katherine Says:

    Oh man!!!!!
    I love these shirts!!!
They Look Like great converstion starters!!
I completly agree with the message I have found that doing hard things is soooooooo rewarding!!!!!!!!

  32. Taurnil Says:

    Sweet shirts!
I can’t wait to get one!

Although my Mom wanted to know if they are made in China…

  33. Brett Harris Says:

Taurnil: Actually they are made right here in the USA. :)

  34. Elisabeth & Kirsten Gruber Says:

By the way, who created the designs for the shirts?

    ~K & E Gruber

  35. Josiah Robertson Says:

You guys are to awesome! Who hosts your blog?

  36. Jake A. Smith Says:

Funny, I happen to be wearing the one I got in Dallas for the first time in a month! Yeah, great shirt, can’t wait to see the next round of… oh, umm.. I just remembered I still have a shirt I bought for Alex King. I should probably go put that in the mail tomorrow. Maybe I can label it “Merry Christmas… from July.”

  37. Lucy Says:

Did the Wheat shirt shrink very much? I don’t know whether to get a medium or large.

  38. Michelle Says:

“We’re hoping to have some new designs for 2008.”

I love my Wheat shirt, but I can only wear it with my light wash jeans. When you come up with the new designs, could you perhaps make a girls’ shirt in a more versatile color? :-D

  39. Felicity Says:

I got a little bit confused by the sizings. I mean I’m not that un-typical, but when I compared some of the said sizes of the shirts in inches the biggest with it said any of them had was 24 inches, and no offence, but my head in nearly that big!! (22.2 if you are interested) Now my tape measure may be wrong, the American inch may be three times as big as the Australian one, or perhaps you Americans are midgets, but that doesn’t seem very likely. Umm a little help?

  40. Elisabeth & Kirsten Gruber Says:

    Felicity:
I don’t think the sizing chart means that the largest one is 24″ around, just the width is 24″. The 24″ width is 48″ around (xL), the 22″ width is 44″ around (L), the 20″ width is 40″ around (M), the 18″ width is 36″ around (S).

    ~K & E Gruber

  41. Elizabeth Says:

If you bring in the lighter colors, are you going to do away with the darker colors? (I really like my navy one.) :)

  42. Emma Says:

*Lucy*: I got an S, and It didn’t shrink at all, washer or drier. ;D

  43. Erika Says:

How about some long sleeve shirts, so that those of us who live in colder regions can remember to “Do hard things” all year round! :D

  44. Caleb R. Says:

I really like the t-shirts. I’m in the process of ordering one for myself and my dad. I’m just dreaming of happiness…………………….. ;-D Can’t wait to read the book and go to the conference.

  45. Bethany Says:

I couldn’t be more thrilled! Living in Southern California, I was disappointed that I couldn’t make it all the way up to Sacramento for the conference– maybe next year. :) Now at least I get an amazing t-shirt (Lord willing)!! Thanks so much you guys, I’m very excited.

    Keep on keeping on!

    Bethany

  46. Brett Harris Says:

Felicity: I think the width is just measuring from one side of the shirt to the other — not all the way around. So an 18 inch width would be 36 inches all the way around. Does that make sense?

Elizabeth: We’re planning to keep all of the designs going — even after we introduce new ones.

Erika: We’re planning to go long-sleeves and hoodies, etc. in the future. It’s going to be awesome. :D

    Caleb: Haha! Keep dreaming happiness!

Bethany: It looks like we’re going to coming to Southern California next year — details will be coming soon! Stay posted. :)

  47. Erika Says:

    oh good!! :D

  48. Amanda Bush Says:

Yay! I love hoodies! (even though I live in Texas! :D) We don’t get much of a chance to wear warm clothes here, but it can get cold! I can’t wait until I get my shirt! =D =D =D

    happy, happy, happy!
    Amanda

  49. Amanda Bush Says:

Oh, I almost forgot! I don’t think that the wheat shirts shrink very much, but they do a little. My sister’s is almost too small for her now. The sizes run pretty normal, though, as far as I can tell. example- If you normally wear a junior’s small, then get the small, etc. I’m ordering a large, and I normally wear a junior large. Does this help?

    AB

  50. Brett Harris Says:

Everyone: The shirts are pretty normal size — maybe run a little small. But the length on all of them is great — for all you girls who were wondering. :P

Also, all of you who already have a shirt need to take pictures and send them to us! Check out our picture contest page. Some “lucky” person will win a free shirt for themselves (or to give away):

  51. Sheila Says:

Exciting! I can’t wait to order one!

I think I know what size to get. Still slightly confused. The small is about a 1/2 inch to an inch small all around than a shirt of mine that fits really well, and the medium is about two inches longer, and a half and inch wider. Any suggestions from those who already wear one? I’d probably be ordering the ‘wheat’ one.

    Thanks,
    Sheila

  52. Rebekah Says:

Sheila, I don’t have one… but with the *potential* to shrink, I’m ordering a larger size than normal. After checking the wheat measurements, they seem quite a bit smaller than my shirts. *shrug* :) Maybe measuring another shirt of yours with similar measurements would help.

  53. Hannah Michelle Says:

Oooo, I should send you a picture. I LOVE, LOVE my shirt and wear it at least once a week, if not more. (It can be a little convicting to walk around with “Do Hard Things” on your back… :D )

I appreciated that you made the tees affordable, and I also appreciated that the girls’ had the design on the back. Even though I wear front-design tees also, it just kills any concern there. And personally, I love how versatile short sleeves are, because I can layer over long sleeves when it’s cold, and then wear it alone when things warms up again.

I can’t wait to see what you come out with for next year! ;)

  54. Holly Says:

I just sent in my request for a shirt- I hope you got it. I am really excited about the shirt and the upcoming hoodies!
P.S. when you say your coming to So. CA next year is that 08 or 09? :-) thanks!
    ~Holly

  55. Felicity Says:

Haha OK thanks for explaining that. :D

  56. Kaisha Says:

This is so fun! Between all the questions that everyone else put, I’ve got all mine answered! I can’t wait to order one, and complete my “spill on all my new clothes” ritual!

My mom also pointed out to me, that you’re going to be having a conference in Portland next year! I was about to use my life savings to go to one last year, but my parents quickly vetoed that. :) Thankfully we can drive to this one though!

Good work on the book too!

  57. Jordan Diann Says:

Just for all you ladies wondering about length, I bought one in Sac last year and have a really long torso. While I prefer to layer the shirt with long sleeves and longer shirts or camis, the Tshirt is long enough… and I am really tall. So yeah, I wouldn’t be too concerned about the length and if you are, just go up a size. The ladies’ run a tad bit small anyway.

Brett: 10% off sounds awesome, thanks! :P

  58. Jordan Diann Says:

P.S. I’ve worn my shirt through airports, county fairs and to conferences and have gotten to answer a lot of question. It’s a great way to spread the word… and make new friends!

  59. Lydia D. Says:

I don’t have a problem with most of the stuff mentioned here, except for the cold climate, which was mentioned by Ericka. My solution is to just wear a long-sleeved white top underneath. It also helps with the length problem, as Jordan Diann said. Hope this helps!:) Lydia D.

P.S. Brett and Alex: As far as sending in a picture, do need any information besides my name?

  60. Alex Jordan Harris Says:

Lydia: Nope, actually… We don’t even need your name if you don’t want to provide it. :)

  61. Bank Bully Says:

I will be away on business can they deliver to a P.O. Box?
