I am only 14, but I am planning on graduating class of 2010. I am homeschooled which has enabled me to get a head start. ; ) After I graduate I plan on taking online college classes, I will be to young to attend regular college anyway. I want to be a sign language interpreter and to dance professionally with a Christian ballet company. These are my plans so most likely it will not happen this way, but the Lord will work out something awesomely unfathomable! God is already doing wonderful things!

May the Lord bless and keep you as you strive to learn all you can for a successful launch!
Do not get discouraged, and if you do your fellow rebelutionaries can provide any needed encouragement! ; )

Praying for you everyday!

I'm so excited for you guys! As a PHC freak, I'm very seriously considering the school for college (primarily for its literature major...I love to write). However, while I can't imagine another school more perfect for me, God could have a completely different agenda...one that will blow me away (God seems to like surprising us...). Fortunantely, I'm in the same boat as Sarah Beth. I too have a few more years to go.

Anyway, have a blast! Change the world you live in...not to set yourselves on a pedestal, but to provide a platform on which God can show His glory and goodness.

But you already knew that...;)

I'm a little late, but who cares about that. I just wanted to say I'm looking at Patrick Henry as a college option. I've got a few years to decide however. God bless you guys.

Hi Alex, Brett, and fellow rebelutionaries!
I'm relatively new to the blog, but I hope all of your finals went well and all of you are having a wonderful Christmas season!
I just completed my first semester at Cedarville University (Amazing school! Check it out if you're thinking about colleges!) majoring in Mechanical Engineering after being homeschooled all the way through, and attending a local university part-time in high school. I know engineering is not exactly a liberal-arts education, but at Cedarville I have lots of required general credits and a Bible minor, and I'm where God wants me to be, which makes all the difference. Like many of you young ladies, I am also thinking about the future of homeschooling, and I hope that a rigorous engineering-based education which I love will also allow me some respect from the authorities when it comes time to lay down my career and homeschool my own children. Anyway, college is definitely a hard thing! But it sure doesn't have to be a bad thing. God has taught me so much already.
I hope you love PHC! We've heard only good things about it and its students. God bless!

Hey Aelx and Brett!

You guys just amaze me more and more with your groundings and passion for the Lord and for the youth of this world! I enjoy so much reading about what God has done or is doing in each of your lives! It is refreshing to have such truth and sincerity in two young men such as your selves.
I was reading this post and was just encouraged! I chose not to go to college right after i graduated in june because I would have been going just to go. I didnt have clear purpose as to what I wuuld want to study by any means, and have been taking general classes at a community college and working. I must say though, that was one of the greatest decisions I ever made! Waiting on the Lord was extremely difficult because I wanted my purpose and answer immediately, however it took some time!
I recently got His answer to my many years of prayer, at least the answers to the next step in life. It is far beyond my imagination! He has opened up a missions internship in Brazil this summer, then about a month later im heading to Scotland for another year in missions development, training and experience! I am so excitded that God has provided and that I was patient enough to wait on him. Nothing could be greater!!
Thanks for being a strong and steadyh example to many of us. Keep on keein' on.
Peace in Christ.

I hope ya'll are enjoying your time at PHC. I've heard great things about that College! I actually considered it for a little while myself. That was when I was trying desperately to find a college that "fit" me and I felt at peace with because I thought that's just what you did after high school and a lot of people were pressuring me to go somewhere. Praise the Lord He finally got a hold of my whole life and showed me where He wanted me! After HS (homeschool) I went into a traveling ministry called Life Action. I'm with them ten months out of the year. This is my second year in the ministry, and right now I believe it will be my last. I feel the Lord is leading me to go home when the year is up in July. I don't really know what He would have me do, and as my family has moved since I've been gone, I don't really know what opportunities there are in the area, but I do know this...as long as I am in the will of the Lord, I am in a safe and blessed place.

In the meantime, this year will be spent traveling with my team to churches across the U.S. We'll be in a new church every three weeks, bringing a message of revival and refreshment. How exciting it is to watch God transform lives with His truth! What a blessing to be called to this! Thank you for the encouragement to do hard things for the glory of the Lord. I wish I had learned how to do that earlier. I wish I had not wasted my teen years. But it's never too late to start! Praise God, His mercies are new every morning! So with His help, I will live to be a light and glorify His Name by obedience to the hard things He has called me to. God bless you guys!

So cool that you are both at PHC!

Funny... I picked it out as my #1 choice after hearing about it through, "Come What May." A teen track I attended this September, had PHC students organizing the event, and the enthusaim and excitement about it (PHC) really seemed to seal my decision. I feel led to major in Journalism and Creative Writing... the film-making only added to my excitement for the time in a few years when I'll go. (God Willing)..... :)

God Bless @ PHC

Well, I wish I would have found this site earlier to really wish you off, but I suppose I could just wish that you have a good end to the first semester. ;-) I also appreciate how you mentioned earlier in your blog that it isn't always God's will for rebelutionaries to go to college. I don't plan to go to college.... as a junior in high school that usually comes as quite a shock to quite a few people. I have never felt led to a career.... I have always felt that God wanted me to prepare & raise a family. Anyway, I don't want to make this post about me... just wanted to tell you I am praying for both of you!
Chelsey

PS- Was it always decided that you both would attend the same college???
