The Rebelution Twitter Feed

As we move into the holiday season — which is now also the season of end-of-semester papers and final exams — full blog posts are hard to come by.

Thankfully, we’ve found a way to keep you all updated, even when we’re crazy busy or on the go: Twitter! We’ve been tweeting (or is it twittering?) for a few months now — but finally, it’s on the blog! You can see it on the right.

You can read our updates on the Mini-Blog (top of the sidebar) or subscribe through Twitter itself. Either way, we hope you’ll follow along!

Ok, I feel stupid, but what in the world is Twitter?!?!

  7. Stephanie Says:

Andie: Dont worry I was about to ask the same question!!

What is Twitter? I have never heard of it?

  8. Jayan Nair Says:

    :-? ditto…

  9. Hayden Says:

    twitter is where you tweet…

no, it’s a thing where you can update what you’re doing whenever you want. kind of like facebook, but not that sophisticated…it’s just so people can know what you’re doing and when you’re doing it. and to do twitter is to tweet, by the way. when you post on twitter, you’re tweeting, and a twitterer is actually called a tweeter. it’s rather confusing at first, but you get used to it…

  10. Emily Says:

My dad was talking to me about twitter the other day, so I actually just got one! And… you’re the first people I’m following. =D

  11. GINA Says:

Brett- PHC played bball at the school where my husband is on staff…right outside of DC…on Tuesday night. My daughter and I sat in the stands and watched the game. I want you to know that you had a wonderful testimony on the court. We have some tough kids…from varying backgrounds. They are not always that “Christ like” on the court…something that my husband is working with them on! We came to your “do hard things” conference over the summer, and loved it! It was fun seeing you again at the game…and seeing your awesome testimony! GOOD JOB!!!

And…there are a small group of girls on this campus who are praying for a godly man with a character similar to yours! ( : It is encouraging to them to know someone like that does exist!

    Keep clinging!!!

  12. Emily Joy Says:

Cool. Though, you should say which one of you is writing the twitter.

  13. Ben Brown Says:

Don’t use twitter personally, but it’ll be nice to keep up with you through your blog! And I agree with Emily. Adding your name would be a nice touch.

  14. Amber Lynn Says:

glad to know there are some out there who dont know what twitter is too. i guess i am a bit late to ask the question first, but thanks to Hayden for spelling that out!

Love the Twitter feed guys! One of the brightest ideas you’ve had, right up there with starting this blog, writing a book, and doing a conference tour. :-D But really, it’s nice to hear from you two more often so we know you haven’t died or anything. ;-)

  16. Alex Jordan Harris Says:

We would sign our names, except we’re already limited to just 140 characters. As a hint, though, it’s usually Alex posting the tweets. :)

  17. Hannah Peck Says:

Hey, I’d love to “follow” some of you other Rebelutionaries on Twitter if anyone would be willing to give the name they use. I’m able to access the list of people following Alex and Brett but I’d like to get to know more about some of the names that have become familiar to me on here. ?:)?

I’m new to this twitter thingy as well. (although I love the sound of the name…twitter ;) ) do I have to sign up to read what you’re posting, and what does following mean?

  23. Sarah Pena Says:

Okay, I know this is going to sound very stupid but I’ve read all the comments and I still don’t understand what Twitter is! Hayden said it was like a facebook but I don’t use that either so……. Help?

    Sarah. :)

  27. Daniel Hayes Says:

    Cool!

  28. rachel Says:

hey you guys, thank you so much for the book that you made. I love it… it my devotional book actually. i read that every night and then i read John. My parents passed away a few years back and my 2 brothers are in drugs and cigarettes. to be 100% honest… i am just 14 years old. August, 31 1994. This book has made any frown on my head disappear, the God Almighty look at my heart and is pleased, and my “family” has definitely seen more wisdom in what i do. I go to a Christian school, but that doesn’t cut it for me. My school goes out into the community to serve every Wednesday and after reading your book like 18 times, it feels like, i feel more equipped. “All scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. That the man of God may be complete;thoroughly equipped for every good work!!!!!(2 Timothy 3:16-17)

  29. Michael Says:

This is a great idea! It’ll be neat to have more common updates about what you guys are up to.
    Thanks Alex and Brett!

  34. Oliver Says:

Ooh, its now officially on the blog!
I’ve been following you guys for a while now.
    [:

  35. Hannah Y. Says:

Neat idea–and thanks for putting the latest Tweeterings (twitterings, whatever!) on your blog, since I don’t have Twitter. (I don’t have Facebook either–I’m just that type of person. :-) )

    (]–[)

  36. Les Jumelles Says:

Alex and Brett, blessings on your papers and finals as you seek to accomplish everything for the glory of God.

  41. Felicity Says:

    Hey Alex

Couldn’t you just sign it at the end A. or B. so that we know who it is?

    ~ Felicity

  42. Joel Y. Says:

    I’m following your twitter. :)
PS: I agree with Felicity - that would be helpful.

  43. Kaylee Says:

What are your (Alex, Brett and Everyone) opinions on facebook? I’m a pastor’s daughter and I think that it might be a stumbling block for some people if I do get one because I’m supposed to be “all that” and the “pastor’s daughter” and I’m an example for other teens. Yet, I really want one to communicate with my friends and family… what d’ya think?

  44. Anonomous Says:

Kaylee, I don’t think that it will be a stubling block for the people/parents in your church… as long as you don’t post inappropiate things on facebook. And just because your a pastors daughter doesn’t mean that people are schrutinizing you more than anyother teen in your church; yet, I know what you mean about having to be an “example” ’cause you are the pastors daughter. But don’t feel like your missing out on something “cool” by not having one… Its NOT as cool as it is made out to be and could be trouble if you start placing facebook as your idol. So don’t rush to get one just because you don’t want to be left out of the loop…. but if you want one to keep intouch with people and your parents are fine with you having one then get one because its not a sin unless you are doing un godly things on it or it you are placing it before GOD…. I HOPE this helps. :)
