Isaac,
Thank you brother! You and your brothers are an inspiration to all the guys back at HeuMoore. We’re honored to have you as friends, and are constantly grateful to the Lord that when we’re asked, “How did you do this at only 19 years old?”, We have the pleasure of pointing them straight to the Rebelution and the Rebelutionaries who have exemplified the command, ‘Do Hard Things’. Thank you for the example and the encouragement!!
Can’t wait to talk again!!
~ In Christ, John.

Thanks for blogging this, Isaac- I’ve really enjoyed hearing about everything going on there. Do you know if Advent Film Group’s new film Come What May was in the festival or not? I know it’s their first movie, but I thought from talking with Mr. Escobar, who runs the company, that they hoped to enter it in the festival.
Also, how can people who were not at the festival get a copy of The Widow’s Might? Is there a way to buy it yet?
Thanks and God bless!

At least ‘Fireproof’ won best feature film.
January 12th, 2009 at 5:49 pm
Whoohoo!!! How totally exciting for John Moore. Congratulations to him.
Did you have a personal favourite, Isaac?
January 13th, 2009 at 12:48 pm
Rebecca: Come What May was not entered in the festival because many of the donors for Come What May are donors to the festival, so if it did well, it would look like favoritism.

The San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival was, once again, amazing, and HueMoore took the Audience Choice award (which they also got last year with ‘Heartstrings’) and the Best of Festival Award with their amazing film ‘The Widows Might’. It’s very impressive what God can do through we, the flawed people, which allow Him to.
