Dude! That’s sweet! I just found out about the first one and I’m not quite done reading it yet, but I can’t wait for the new one! Good luck to you guys with writing it and thanks for it, too. You guys really showed me I have to do something different in my life. You guys are cool.

  2. Salomé Says:

Oh, so we have to come up with the idea? Awesome! I’ll have to do some thinking on that one… but I’d love to give some input this time, as I didn’t have time the previous time. (Not that I have more time now… ;))

God bless you for your awesome work!

  3. Lydia T. Says:

so, wait, we are supposed to email you our ideas for what the new book should be on? i have some ideas… i’d write the books myself, i just really never find the time to.. lol.

  4. Tabitha Says:

I already sent mine, but good luck and God bless again!

  5. Joanna Says:

    I sent in my submission.

  6. Rebecca Says:

I am glad you posted a reminder about this, because I forgot and now I have sent mine in just now. I have seen many blessings that God has put in my life and my families by myself and my family doing hard things that are countercultural and Biblical. thank you for your encouraging book that is christ honoring instead of honoring our dark culture!

  7. Rebeka Fry Says:

I’ve already sent mine in. This is going to be a great book… I know it! God bless you guys!

  8. anonymous Says:

Hey guys! I wish I could send something in to help out, but I can’t really think of anything. The only question I can think of is, how do you start? I mean, just, start, “doing hard things” from nowhere. I know you kinda made that clear, but that’s just the struggle I’m having. I haven’t always been that enthusiastic about starting things that require indurance, but I am trying to ge better at it! So… I guess just “starting” has been an area that I’ve struggled in. (if that’s what you were looking for)

Well, I loved your first book so I’m looking forward to the next, I wish youbest of luck! And God bless!

  9. Lydia T. Says:

    anonymous:

    Hey there,

I wanted to say that I really know what you mean! I think what you really have to think about how much glory you can bring to God through doing “hard” things. Remember that there is nothing too hard with Christ. All things are possible through Him, if you trust in Him that He will do it for you. You can’t do it on your own, but if you trust in Him then you will find yourself doing stuff that you never thought you would do. Keep strong in the Word, and don’t do it for yourself. Always strive for the upward calling of the gospel. (Philippians) And keep in touch with your Savior, praying at all times in your heart, pouring out every care to Him! Just keep remembering that you can do “hard” things through Christ who strengthens you. So, the place where you need to start is Christ and the cross, and that’s where you need to end too! Good luck, and if you reveal a name of some sort, i will pray for you! (i’ll pray for you anyway, but it’s strange labeling you “anonymous” haha)

  10. Camille Says:

Hey Lydia T.! Thanks SO much for leaving that comment! Your advice and incouragement really means a lot to me! Your advice about starting with my Savior and with praying is very, very true! I wish I had thought of it! I really believe that if I seek God first and and follow Him, that He will show me what He wants me to do. Thank you for reminding me; I think I had forgotten! :) My name is mentioned above, sorry if it seemed a little weird being “anonymous”, I just always forget to mention my name in comments! I apreciate your prayers and the very Godly example.

Alex and Brett: Once again, good luck with the new book. I’ll be praying that it reaches to as meany people as the first one did!

    Blessings

    Camille

  11. Noella Says:

Ditto to Camille on that last phrase.

    God bless you guys abundantly!

    Forever in Him,

  12. Morgan Says:

I wish you guys lots of luck. I’m going to share the first book with my youth group. I’m going to talk to my youth pastor if I can maybe speak about it. And also lend my copy of DHT around. Hopefully, it will go well and I can lend around the second one next spring (after I read it of course) :) God bless you guys and your work.

  13. Lydia T. Says:

    Camille,

I’m so glad that i was of encouragement to you. That means a lot to me to hear that from you! Definitely be seeking God, but trusting that He will find you, because you can’t find him on your own! Seeking and trusting.. =)

Good luck to the Harris bros as they get out their new book! I really look forward to reading it, so don’t take a long time. =)

  14. Annaleise Weir Says:

Thank you for the Do Hard Things book it has really helped me in my walk with Christ. My suggestion would be that it would be nice to have your thoughts on overcoming the fear of man. may God bless the work of your hands.
    in Christ,
    Annaleise

  15. Natasha Victoria Says:

How do you know which hard things to pursue in life? I know your focus probably isn’t finding the will of God (which is a pretty deep theological subject) but I feel like one of my problems is there is SO much I want to do- and so little time. Its not an issue of time management, its an issue of what to focus on and what to leave behind. Obviously one cannot possibly take on every ‘hard thing’ that grips their attentions.

  16. kiley h. Says:

i sent in my submission :)

    praying for you guys!

  17. Camille Says:

Hey Natasha, I won’t answer for the H. Brothers, but I think finding the Will of God on our own IS a deep theological subject, one that we probably couldn’t do on our own, but it’s what we need to do. Fortunetly, when we really seek God (something I’m learning about right now) and ask Him to help us, He does. We can’t guess God’s will, but He is graceous enough to show it to us when we ask Him! But it may not always be in the way we expect. So… That’s what I think! :)

    In love,
    Camille

  18. Lydia T. Says:

Natasha, I think I’ll add to what Camille says here. Keep your purpose in mind. Your purpose shouldn’t be to do hard things, but to bring God the most glory. However you think God will be most glorified is what you need to do. You can bring God so much glory through studying, washing dishes, doing your laundry, and just getting up in the morning. All these things can bring God glory if that is your purpose. Make that your purpose, and you will find yourself doing hard things before you know it! =)

    Look up!

    Lyd

  21. Bryan J Says:

Hey guys I just wanted to encourage you to continue growing the ministry which God has blessed you with. He has definately blessed you for seeking Him first in what you are a part of. Keep fighting the good fight!

    2 Tim 2:3-4
Endure hardship with us like a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No one serving as a soldier gets involved in civilian affairs-he wants to please his commanding officer.
    -NIV

Remember always who your Commanding Officer is! Thanks for your obedience guys! God Bless

  22. Nella Camille Says:

Oy, with my class schedule and going out of town I missed the deadline! I have a question, and maybe a story, but I don’t have it with me. I hope it isn’t too late to send something!

  23. mario Says:

i just wants to comment about the kids nowadays i frequently go to the public libraries and see a lot of kids surveying the ficction section, and nobody goes to the real stuff. how can we encourage them to read something where they could learn…is’nt it good to write about this in your new book?
