I thought I recognized Francis’ I just want to caution you and your readers. Francis depicting God as “begging us on His knees” for us to accept His forgiveness is a distorted picture of God. He did this in a video I received probably last year. How we view God is extremely important and influences our walk with God.

Also, I just wanted to share this link to a video that Francis Chan posted on his site.
I watched the video and I began to feel so overwhelmed.
Seeing those picstures made me realize how powerful and amazing God is, and how so many times during my life, I get mad at Him, or blame Him for my problems!
I started crying watching that video because untill recently, I never truly thought, hard about these things!

Last night I read 1/2 of “Crazy Love” and it really seemed to trigger something in my heart.
Now I have this unbelievably powerful craving to serve God.
I feel like unless I make use of my never-ending love for Him, I’m wasting it.
I also feel like words can not even begin to describe how much I am loving God right now!
In “Crazy love” Francis Chan says [i][b]“God Is Eternal. Most of us would probably agree with that statement. But have you ever seriously meditated on what it means? Each of us has a beginning; everything in existence began on a particular day, at a specific time.
Everything that is, but God. He always has been, since before there was an earth, a universe, or even angles. God exists outside of time, and since we are within time, there is no way we will ever totally grasp that concept.
Not being able to fully understand God is frustrating,”[/b][/i]
and I agree with him.
It is extremely frustrating for me, not being able to understand exactly how powerful, loving and all together amazing God is!
“Crazy Love” has caused me to seriously look at all the things Gods done in my life, it’s all amazing, yet I don’t deserve ANY of it!
I am a sinner, I was born a sinner, into a world of sin.
But God blesses me so much because He loves me in a way that I’ll never be able to understand! It’s a thrilling thought!

During my one week break from technology, I found out that we own this book.
I’ve added it to my ever growing to-read list and hopefully I’ll be opening it’s covers soon to enjoy it.

It sounds like an awsome book!

Thanks for sharing! I’ve found audiobooks a great way to redeem the time.

As to everyone’s discussion about church: I think the point of any argument over imperfections in G_d’s people should be aimed at improving our own walk and our own positive influence amoung the brethern. Not to shun everyone else who is not perfect and jus edify ourselves. Discipleship is not limited to new believers.
