Dollar for a Drink on FOXNews
A little more than a month ago we asked you to show the world what really matters to teens this holiday season. You came along side Joshua Guthrie and helped Dollar for a Drink raise nearly $10,000 to bring this year’s total to $19,185.
Just recently, Joshua made it on FOXNews Memphis to share his vision for the project. Watch the video (above) and consider making a contribution. It is not too late to donate! Dollar for a Drink is suspending the Christmas deadline. Let’s make one last push to help Joshua reach his goal of $24,000 and three wells for Africa.

It is wonderful that he was able to share his (and God’s) passion on FOX!!! This is wonderful news. May God continue to bless this ministry!

I am praying Joshua, I know you can do it!

Hey, that’s great! Go Josh! You made Fox news! I have over 30 dollars of donations that I’ve gotten from people but I haven’t had time to get it donated.
Joshua, you’re definitely in my prayers and I know that w/ God’s help we can make the goal of 24,000.
In Christ,
~Alesha

Good job Joshua! I hope you make it to your $24,000 goal!
December 23rd, 2009 at 12:24 pm
Yes, certainly praying for you.
“Silver and gold have I none, but what I have I give unto thee. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I pray that you will reach the goal.”
Seriously, I think we all underestimate the power of prayer to accomplish things. Sometimes I say, “Oh yeah, I’ll pray for you,” but they would never know if I kept that promise or not because my prayers are so ineffective.
Lord, I genuinely pray this time. Help my unbelief.
Looking forward to seeing how this turns out,
-Marshall Jones Jr.

WOW, this is SO COOL!!
All I have is 10$, (literally) but I want to give it to Josh!!
Now, I’ve gotta find out how…I’ll go digging at his site.
Thanks for posting this, Alex and Brett!
-Molly
P.S-I’m praying, too!!

I’m doing a fundraiser at school for this, but can’t start until January because of scheduling complications. Alex and Brett, will you guys still match donations at that point, or are you stopping after the official deadline?
December 23rd, 2009 at 2:02 pm
That’s AWESOME!
I’m praying too! May God bless you and your ministry!
Thanks for posting the video!
In Christ,
Sarah

That’s great. I just love it when major networks feature good Christian ministries.
December 23rd, 2009 at 2:22 pm
Thanks for the post Alex and Brett! To God be the glory!
@ Eliszabeth Kelly: Thanks so much for doing the fundraiser (in advance)! However, I believe that Alex and Brett were going to match donations up to $1,000, which The Rebelution has definitely reached. Thus, I don’t believe that they will match anymore. Also, there isn’t an “official” deadline anymore per-se. We are just raising the money until the goal of 24k is reached!
Thanks for all of the encouraging comments everyone; they mean more than you know. Thanks even more for the prayers!
December 23rd, 2009 at 4:17 pm
wow Josh that is AWESOME!! Praise God! I am praying for your goal of 24K and I know God will provide it all in His perfect time! =)
Hope you have a great Christmas Alex and Brett!

Gotcha. Thanks, Josh!

I donated a month ago but I just donated again (and living in South Africa we have to multiply our currency by 10 to get the dollar value - so it costs a LOT!). This project is so close! For we who are able, lets try give a little more and consider it a gift to our God as we witness more about what the Season is actually about through projects like this!

Great job, You will be getting more from this end, (why am I always late?)
Merry Christmas all.
God Bless

I would like to donate, but how exactly can I have the Rebelution match my gift?
December 26th, 2009 at 11:51 pm
@ Jennifer: Thanks for wanting to donate! However, Alex and Brett said that they would match other member’s donations up to $1,000, which the good Rebelutionaries here on the website have already reached. Thus, your donation can’t be matched any more, but rest assured that it will be just as appreciated! ^_^
December 27th, 2009 at 1:07 pm
@ Joshua Guthrie: Okay, thank you for answering my question. I didn’t realize that was the case already! Praise God!

How are countries and groups firmly established? Collaboration! Unity! This is our chance to rise above low expectations, and we know what God expects of us.
Our efforts are not for nothing!
Hashem be praised for your works Joshua

Wow, what an awesome and easy way to make real change in our world. America, and even the rest of the world, needs more people like this guy to get out there and fix things! This man is a testament to the fact that anyone can make a difference. “The harvest is plenty but the workers are few” Matt. 9:37. Will YOU be someone that is willing to be a tool of the lord? God will use your strengths and even your weaknesses to accomplish any goal and make you a better disciple in the process.

Katelyn Snell, if you still need to know how to reply to posts just let me know and I’ll send you a private message through the forums explaining it!

Great job Josh on taking the initiative to build a foundation like that and change people’s lives like that. People whom you’ve never met. I am praying for you and always keep in mind Phillipians 4:13 which says: I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Good Luck!

Josh did a great job I would like to do something like that it would help more people because no matter how small an act of kindness is it always counts and I would try to encourage others to help people her in America and in more unfortunate countries like africa well I really admire Josh’s work
