What is Twenty29?
If you have no idea what all of this is about, check out our previous post (or just comment here asking to be filled in) — then join our treasure hunt to discover the what, when, and where of Twenty29.
Detectives, here is your next clue. This clue will lead to another clue, which will lead to another clue, etc. You are ultimately searching for a three-letter word — which are the first three letters of the answer to the very last clue.
When you have solved one step of the hunt, you will play around with the following link to uncover the next clue:
http://www.therebelution.com/twenty29/________.jpg
If your search leads you to a name (e.g. Ben) then insert the word “ben” into the blank space (i.e. ben.jpg). If your search leads you to a website (e.g. www.bmw.com) then insert “bmw” into the blank space (i.e bmw.jpg).
Your next erand is to find a person. He has a “manly” name. Once you discover his name you will try to meet him (i.e. find a picture of him). Once you meet him you will count down 1, 2, 3 — and then use horse sense and black-and-white thinking to discover what he is doing. That will be your last and final clue (and provide the three-letter word you are looking for).
P.S. Google is your friend.
P.P.S. Sorry for the typo, but you may find it helpful.

What is this twentynine.org thing? I really want to be in on it but I am not sure how
could you maybe help me out?
January 21st, 2010 at 1:07 pm
Okay, this clue officially has me confused!
January 21st, 2010 at 1:08 pm
This is confusing
January 21st, 2010 at 1:09 pm
Parts of this clue won’t make sense until further in. Focus on the first part. You are looking for a name. =)
January 21st, 2010 at 1:09 pm
Ooohh - you gave us a hard one!
January 21st, 2010 at 1:10 pm
There are two clues to what the name is in the post itself.
Also, don’t worry if you are stumped for awhile. I’m making the clues much harder because you guys solve them way too fast otherwise.
January 21st, 2010 at 1:10 pm
haha
January 21st, 2010 at 1:11 pm
Okay, here oges. Starting on the next clue now.
January 21st, 2010 at 1:11 pm
I have to head to class, everyone. I look forward to seeing what you’ve figure out by the time I get back tonight. =)
January 21st, 2010 at 1:11 pm
Have a good class…meanwhile, the rest of us will be in suspense until we figure this out!
January 21st, 2010 at 1:12 pm
Rachel Brown: Twenty29 is a new project of The Rebelution. Everyone is trying to figure out what it is, when it is, and where it is. The other posters can share what they’ve discovered so far.
January 21st, 2010 at 1:13 pm
He said that there are two clues in the post itself. I’ve already tried ben, cove, and billygraham.
January 21st, 2010 at 1:14 pm
ben plus manly: benjamin?
January 21st, 2010 at 1:15 pm
Rachel: To add to what Brett said, we’ve found out that it’s Proverbs 20:29 (thus the name) and we think it’s at the Billy Graham Cove (that was the clue of the picture). That’s all so far.
January 21st, 2010 at 1:15 pm
I tried that too.
January 21st, 2010 at 1:17 pm
how do we know if we have the right answer?
January 21st, 2010 at 1:17 pm
Hmm, perhaps we’re trying the link thing too soon - it says once we’ve solved one step, we should do that…
January 21st, 2010 at 1:18 pm
A clue will come up in your browser. All the previous clues have been pics. I don’t know about these clues though.
January 21st, 2010 at 1:19 pm
Joanna: You’re right. But what is the other step?
January 21st, 2010 at 1:20 pm
Sara… I have tried Benjamin, Benjamen, Benjaman… everything….
January 21st, 2010 at 1:22 pm
I’m stuck… :<
January 21st, 2010 at 1:24 pm
he said “P.P.S. - Sorry for the typo.” What’s the typo?
January 21st, 2010 at 1:24 pm
he said, “which are the first three letters” which is referring to the noun “word”. this is a typo? it seems it should say “which is” not which are. the letter R perhaps? *hint hint*
January 21st, 2010 at 1:24 pm
Joanna… you are right… but then Brett just said we need to focus on finding a name… I think it is Benjamen… he said that the typo might be useful, but maybe he meant a typo in the name itself….
January 21st, 2010 at 1:24 pm
This is driving me CRAZY!!!! You’re killing me. Can’t wait to find this out.
January 21st, 2010 at 1:24 pm
OK, Brett said that it is the first three letters of the last clue. The last clue was Billy Graham Cove- right? I had classes all morning, so I might have missed a clue.
If that was the last clue, and that is the correct answer, I would try either “bil” “gra” or “cov”… I have to go to class or I would do it. =)
January 21st, 2010 at 1:24 pm
we need to figure out what the first step is…. any suggestions? BTW did any of you find the typo?
January 21st, 2010 at 1:25 pm
wow a ton of comments while I was typing mine… the typo is the word “erand”
January 21st, 2010 at 1:25 pm
I thought the typo was “erand” since it should have two Rs.
January 21st, 2010 at 1:25 pm
He made a typo when he typed the word *errand* He spelled it *erand*
January 21st, 2010 at 1:26 pm
He spelled errand wrong, I think. It has two ‘r’s right?
January 21st, 2010 at 1:26 pm
I think I know the “manly” name…
January 21st, 2010 at 1:26 pm
Although… did you guys know that Billy Graham’s full name is William Franklin Graham? I tried Benjamin Franklin and Benjamen Franklin, however….
January 21st, 2010 at 1:27 pm
Are we looking for a name to put in the link?
January 21st, 2010 at 1:28 pm
Hannah: What do you think it is?
January 21st, 2010 at 1:28 pm
what is it hannah? a hint please!
January 21st, 2010 at 1:28 pm
Rebeca: it’s not necessarily a name - it’s some three-letter word or abbreviation.
January 21st, 2010 at 1:28 pm
No fair withholding information!!
January 21st, 2010 at 1:28 pm
is the “manly” name suppose to be three letters?
January 21st, 2010 at 1:29 pm
And about the “manly” name- Brett could mean a name that is strong or bold.
I really need to get to class though… Good luck everyone! Hope we can figure it out, the suspense is bothering me! =)
January 21st, 2010 at 1:29 pm
Well I’m not sure it’s correct, but I’m thinking it’s Aaron. Erand…Erin…but it’s manly, so it would be Aaron… ??
January 21st, 2010 at 1:29 pm
Brett said that right now, we are looking for a name
January 21st, 2010 at 1:29 pm
what was billy graham’s real name?
January 21st, 2010 at 1:30 pm
manly name, three letters - “Guy?”
January 21st, 2010 at 1:31 pm
Ummm this could be a red herring, but there’s a town named “Erand” in South Africa (google it)
January 21st, 2010 at 1:32 pm
Not picking anything up on google when I search all the key words… There was a picture but it was of this random guy with no name…
January 21st, 2010 at 1:32 pm
William Franklin Graham
January 21st, 2010 at 1:32 pm
I saw that too, Anna Joy. It’s a district in Johannesburg.
January 21st, 2010 at 1:32 pm
good idea C.R.
January 21st, 2010 at 1:33 pm
Yeah, Nick… same here….
January 21st, 2010 at 1:33 pm
ya anna i saw that too. idk if it helps but Erand is a suburb of Johannesburg, South Africa.
January 21st, 2010 at 1:34 pm
Oh oh oh oh! The name! It’s the typo unscrambled - erand = andre
January 21st, 2010 at 1:34 pm
So I think the first step is the search with google… I just don’t know what to search for…
January 21st, 2010 at 1:34 pm
good job robin!
January 21st, 2010 at 1:34 pm
Anna Joy… the background in the last clue was QUITE red….
January 21st, 2010 at 1:34 pm
OOh! Use the link with andre!
January 21st, 2010 at 1:35 pm
I KNOW THE NAME!
January 21st, 2010 at 1:35 pm
WAY TO GO!!!!!!
January 21st, 2010 at 1:35 pm
wow! good job Robin!
January 21st, 2010 at 1:35 pm
you got it!
January 21st, 2010 at 1:36 pm
Way to go, Robin!! The link worked!!
January 21st, 2010 at 1:36 pm
aahhh, Joanna!!! I think you got it!!!
January 21st, 2010 at 1:36 pm
w00t!
January 21st, 2010 at 1:36 pm
Oh sorry Robin, I did not see your comment before I posted :).
January 21st, 2010 at 1:36 pm
can anyone explain what we r supposed to do in this new page?
January 21st, 2010 at 1:36 pm
Great job, Robin!
January 21st, 2010 at 1:37 pm
we might have skipped a step….
January 21st, 2010 at 1:37 pm
okay, just entered andre on the link thingy. now, to crack the code.
January 21st, 2010 at 1:37 pm
I think we figure out the code. And thanks to Robin - I didn’t andre out - Robin did. I only typed it in.
January 21st, 2010 at 1:37 pm
Now, to figure out the puzzle……any ideas off the cuff?
January 21st, 2010 at 1:38 pm
For those of you coming in late on this discussion….here’s the link with the clue!
http://www.therebelution.com/twenty29/andre.jpg
January 21st, 2010 at 1:38 pm
Yikes…how do we go about figuring out the code? o.O
January 21st, 2010 at 1:39 pm
it could be a substitution cypher…. D=17 so E=18, etc…
January 21st, 2010 at 1:39 pm
each letter of the alphabet has a number. Letter D is number 17 - that’s already filled in. Now to find which number goes with which letter…
January 21st, 2010 at 1:39 pm
there are no #’s higher than 21 so it could work…
January 21st, 2010 at 1:40 pm
Or like a cryptoquip where every number has a letter with it but they are not necessarily in order.
January 21st, 2010 at 1:40 pm
I think you fill the spaces in below the alphabet with consecutive numbers then correspond the letters with the numbers
January 21st, 2010 at 1:40 pm
Andre is the first word…
January 21st, 2010 at 1:40 pm
No doubt, Nick, it’s some sort of pattern I’m sure.
January 21st, 2010 at 1:41 pm
And Andre means man or warrior, so that fits the “manly name” clue, too : )
January 21st, 2010 at 1:42 pm
I think that we need to figure out the words highlighted in red first. then put the rest of it in
January 21st, 2010 at 1:44 pm
the numbers can’t go consecutively with the letters if the first word is Andre, since then E is 1 and R is 4…we need to look at the rest of the clues Brett gave us to start with and figure those out…
January 21st, 2010 at 1:45 pm
our ultimate goal is a three-letter word…so this is just one step
January 21st, 2010 at 1:46 pm
If anyone cracks it don’t let everyone know! I don’ know about all of you, but I for one want to try and figure it out =) Of course, hints are nice, just don’t spill it all please!
January 21st, 2010 at 1:46 pm
Why does he talk about horse sense and black and white thinking?
January 21st, 2010 at 1:47 pm
It doesn’t have to be connsecutive…. and we are trying to find a picture of him…
January 21st, 2010 at 1:48 pm
I think we should try and find out who andre is
January 21st, 2010 at 1:48 pm
You’re right. My bad.
January 21st, 2010 at 1:48 pm
Actually… we are trying to meet him….
January 21st, 2010 at 1:49 pm
what does it mean about counting one two three?
January 21st, 2010 at 1:49 pm
Go meet andre!
January 21st, 2010 at 1:50 pm
I’ve got part of it!
January 21st, 2010 at 1:51 pm
what could andre’s last name could be?
January 21st, 2010 at 1:51 pm
Andre Kim is a famous chef…
January 21st, 2010 at 1:52 pm
There’s an Andre the Giant. He’s in Princess Bride.
January 21st, 2010 at 1:52 pm
just thinking out loud here. =)
January 21st, 2010 at 1:53 pm
Well, Sarah… could you at least give us a hint….
January 21st, 2010 at 1:54 pm
well they could be using movies…. They used some Star Wars stuff last time
January 21st, 2010 at 1:54 pm
yes PLEASE sara give us a little hint lol
January 21st, 2010 at 1:54 pm
I think that the second word in red is “animal”.
January 21st, 2010 at 1:54 pm
Yeah, I thought of Andre the Giant, but I don’t know where we’re supposed to find a picture…nothing came up searching the blog for Andre…
January 21st, 2010 at 1:54 pm
Are the numbers 7-2-1 the word ‘the’?
January 21st, 2010 at 1:54 pm
I think so too, Sara.
January 21st, 2010 at 1:55 pm
Wow! great job everyone! finally caught up!!
this is so much fun !!!!
January 21st, 2010 at 1:55 pm
After we’ve done the code, what next?
January 21st, 2010 at 1:55 pm
Is the two letter word “it” like I think it is?
January 21st, 2010 at 1:55 pm
If the first word is Andre then that means A=13, N=9, D=17, R=4 and E=1
January 21st, 2010 at 1:56 pm
I’m stuck on the word 3-15-1. Anybody have it?
January 21st, 2010 at 1:56 pm
This is confusing, if only I had more time to work on it. But I have to go work on school.
January 21st, 2010 at 1:56 pm
I was thinking more 3-15-1 were “the” gabe
January 21st, 2010 at 1:56 pm
THANK YOU… the second word might be “will”
January 21st, 2010 at 1:57 pm
google “Andre Dignelli”
January 21st, 2010 at 1:57 pm
Kathy: I had “to” but, of course, I could very possibly be wrong.
January 21st, 2010 at 1:57 pm
well 1 might be E Sara
January 21st, 2010 at 1:58 pm
Well, that corresponds with the horse sense remark…..
January 21st, 2010 at 1:58 pm
Is there a 3 letter word that ends in “H”? if not than I was wrong about 3-15-1 being “the”
January 21st, 2010 at 1:59 pm
What would C.R.?
January 21st, 2010 at 1:59 pm
“Andre Dignelli” - but it must be coincidence?
January 21st, 2010 at 2:00 pm
Hannah… that is pretty good sleuthing…
January 21st, 2010 at 2:00 pm
nick: andre dignelli: rides horses or something like that i think
January 21st, 2010 at 2:00 pm
I have all of it but one letter. Grrrr.
January 21st, 2010 at 2:00 pm
Sara: Thanks!
January 21st, 2010 at 2:00 pm
the third red box might be answer (idk just a guess)
January 21st, 2010 at 2:01 pm
ahhh, I got most of it!!! just need the last word!!!!!!!!
January 21st, 2010 at 2:01 pm
nvm i spelled it wrong lol
January 21st, 2010 at 2:01 pm
Pretty sure that Andre Dignelli must be our guy.
January 21st, 2010 at 2:01 pm
I GOT IT!!!!
January 21st, 2010 at 2:01 pm
This is confusing. If only you could write in it.
January 21st, 2010 at 2:01 pm
Hm…. interesting… I’m so lost though
January 21st, 2010 at 2:01 pm
Sara…. some clues, please???
January 21st, 2010 at 2:02 pm
What is it!
January 21st, 2010 at 2:02 pm
I think Brett is really just trying to see if Rebelutionaries are smart enough to make their own team at the FBI.
Why can’t he just say, “Here’s the treasure spend wisely?”
January 21st, 2010 at 2:02 pm
where does his last name go? GOOD JOB HANNAH!!! Hint?
January 21st, 2010 at 2:02 pm
Hannah, can you give us some clues???
January 21st, 2010 at 2:02 pm
Lol Ruthanna… Guess I fail the team
Hannah’s on it though
January 21st, 2010 at 2:02 pm
ummm….so the second red word is definitely animal?
January 21st, 2010 at 2:03 pm
I figured out the phrase, but I have no idea what it means!!
January 21st, 2010 at 2:03 pm
What kind of hint do you want? I don’t want to blurt it out in case there are some people who really want to work on it.
January 21st, 2010 at 2:03 pm
What’s the phrase?!?
January 21st, 2010 at 2:04 pm
a few more letters…. or a hint to the right google search
January 21st, 2010 at 2:04 pm
I’m lost people. help?
January 21st, 2010 at 2:04 pm
What is the phrase?!?
January 21st, 2010 at 2:04 pm
Kay: 3-15-1 is “use”. 16-10-3 is “you”. According to how I worked it.
January 21st, 2010 at 2:04 pm
Umm…. can you give us the letters for the numbers 10 and 20?
January 21st, 2010 at 2:04 pm
make the letters in the answer white. then if someone wants to figure it out they can’t see the answer.
January 21st, 2010 at 2:04 pm
What’s the third word in red? That kind of hint…^.^
January 21st, 2010 at 2:05 pm
Whoops. Didn’t mean to say that twice
January 21st, 2010 at 2:05 pm
Yes, Sara’s right.
January 21st, 2010 at 2:06 pm
how do you make letters white?
January 21st, 2010 at 2:06 pm
This may seem off the wall…. but LOOK, what is the *name* that we have all been crazy about? remember that possibly we are trying to finish just the red highlighted ones. And the *name* may not have to be in order…look how it fits? Anybody see what I’m saying? Or is that just crazy?
January 21st, 2010 at 2:07 pm
Ahhhhh I think I got it!!!
January 21st, 2010 at 2:07 pm
The red ones make up the 3 letters!!!!! Just figured that out…. Trying to figure out the words though
January 21st, 2010 at 2:07 pm
We’re on it!
January 21st, 2010 at 2:07 pm
10 and 20 are O and I respectively.
January 21st, 2010 at 2:08 pm
is the 2nd red word animal?
January 21st, 2010 at 2:08 pm
Can you tell me what letter the number 2 is?
January 21st, 2010 at 2:08 pm
glad I had figured 1 letter out by myself
January 21st, 2010 at 2:08 pm
Yes, Nick!
January 21st, 2010 at 2:09 pm
And the third is “power”, I think.
January 21st, 2010 at 2:09 pm
yes, Nick.
January 21st, 2010 at 2:09 pm
i got everything but the last letter? does anyone know what 5 is?
January 21st, 2010 at 2:09 pm
Three words in red - “Andre” “animal” “rider”?
January 21st, 2010 at 2:09 pm
I have 10 and 20… I just need 2… then I will be able to figure it out…
January 21st, 2010 at 2:09 pm
Kay, number 2 is H.
January 21st, 2010 at 2:10 pm
Hannah: what did you get for 5? I’m not sure I have it right.
January 21st, 2010 at 2:10 pm
I just figured out what letter 2 is!!!! I looked up all the 3 letter words in the dictionary
January 21st, 2010 at 2:10 pm
number 5 is P, I’m pretty sure.
January 21st, 2010 at 2:11 pm
Anybody have any idea what to do after the code is finished?
January 21st, 2010 at 2:11 pm
Thanks, Hannah, that’s what I had, too.
January 21st, 2010 at 2:12 pm
Is 15 “s”
January 21st, 2010 at 2:12 pm
Yes, I got 5 for P as well…anyone know for sure what 16 is?
January 21st, 2010 at 2:12 pm
i am not sure if it is right, but i said 16 was Y
January 21st, 2010 at 2:13 pm
do the letters ARA stand for the American Riding Association?
January 21st, 2010 at 2:13 pm
I can’t figure out the last letter? And @ Kay, I don’t think “rider” is the right word?
January 21st, 2010 at 2:13 pm
I have “Andre” and “animal” but I’m not sure I have the third word
January 21st, 2010 at 2:13 pm
I worked it out that 16 is “y”
Did we figure out who andre is?
January 21st, 2010 at 2:13 pm
I had Y for 16, too.
January 21st, 2010 at 2:14 pm
For some reason my comment is awaiting moderation.
January 21st, 2010 at 2:14 pm
I thought it was “y” too
January 21st, 2010 at 2:14 pm
*headdesk* I’m so blonde…That’s right..I already had 16 haha. Sorry guys!
January 21st, 2010 at 2:14 pm
I think s is 7
January 21st, 2010 at 2:14 pm
Unfortunately “W” isn’t 2
January 21st, 2010 at 2:14 pm
16 is Y, 15 is S. The third word was tough. It’s commonly used after the word “girl” (with a peace sign lol)
January 21st, 2010 at 2:15 pm
“andre” “animal” “power”
January 21st, 2010 at 2:15 pm
I’m going to guess from what Brett said that the picture we are looking for is black and white?
January 21st, 2010 at 2:15 pm
Whats 21 guys?
January 21st, 2010 at 2:15 pm
Soooo any ideas on what the next step is from here?
January 21st, 2010 at 2:15 pm
john, do you have the entire phrase too?
January 21st, 2010 at 2:15 pm
I had a different letter down for 7… What did the rest of you get?
January 21st, 2010 at 2:15 pm
Agh. I’m stumped! I can’t figured out any order to matching the letters and numbers…
January 21st, 2010 at 2:15 pm
so I was right!! yes!!! now if I can only figure out the next part
January 21st, 2010 at 2:16 pm
so anyone know what we r supposed to do now?
January 21st, 2010 at 2:16 pm
Phrase, please?
January 21st, 2010 at 2:16 pm
GUYS MY PHRASE MAKES NO SENSE!!! Is the last word “hay”?
January 21st, 2010 at 2:16 pm
GIRL POWER!!! YAY!!
January 21st, 2010 at 2:16 pm
Anna Joy, I’ve been working on the next clue but it’s really hard…
January 21st, 2010 at 2:16 pm
Hannah whats 21? and 7
January 21st, 2010 at 2:16 pm
21 is “w”
January 21st, 2010 at 2:16 pm
I had “hay” for the last word.
January 21st, 2010 at 2:16 pm
Update, please?
January 21st, 2010 at 2:17 pm
I dont think “s” is 7
January 21st, 2010 at 2:17 pm
@ Nick: yes, the last word is hay
January 21st, 2010 at 2:17 pm
Hannah: How did you find the next clue?
January 21st, 2010 at 2:17 pm
Andre Animal Power makes sense, since that’s the name of his show.
January 21st, 2010 at 2:17 pm
What’s the next clue?
January 21st, 2010 at 2:17 pm
What’s #4? and please tell me Y is 16? and the word makes no sense
January 21st, 2010 at 2:18 pm
***SPOILER ALERT***
***SPOILER ALERT***

January 21st, 2010 at 2:18 pm
Got it all down except for the last word
January 21st, 2010 at 2:18 pm
THANK YOU, Hannah Y.!
January 21st, 2010 at 2:18 pm
I think the phrase is “Andre will use his animal power to show you the way” - I think that’s what it is
January 21st, 2010 at 2:18 pm
We figured out the cypher… So, NOW WHAT?!?!
January 21st, 2010 at 2:18 pm
Okay so the word was “hay” I thought i was messing it up
January 21st, 2010 at 2:19 pm
sorry I meant to type in “hay”
January 21st, 2010 at 2:19 pm
what was the next clue?
January 21st, 2010 at 2:19 pm
Thank you for the phrase
January 21st, 2010 at 2:19 pm
So what’s next on the docket??
January 21st, 2010 at 2:19 pm
Whats the next clue?
January 21st, 2010 at 2:20 pm
did anyone find the picture of/meet andre?
January 21st, 2010 at 2:20 pm
I dont think that is the whole thing
January 21st, 2010 at 2:21 pm
So we have Andre and a goat which might be the animal power…
January 21st, 2010 at 2:21 pm
I did not fond the picture
January 21st, 2010 at 2:21 pm
I think we meet Billy Graham..
January 21st, 2010 at 2:21 pm
I got the same thing, Hannah. Okay, so I googled the three words in red, and here’s the link that came up: http://www.animalpowerfielddays.org/gallery08.php?yid=3&year=2009
Part of the clue Brett gave us up there ^^ says, “Once you discover his name you will try to meet him (i.e. find a picture of him). Once you meet him you will count down 1, 2, 3 — and then use horse sense and black-and-white thinking to discover what he is doing.”
Perhaps we count down 3 pictures…and try to figure out what the person is doing in one of the pictures…or a black-and-white picture…or SOMETHING. Idk, lol! I’m thinking out loud…well, into my computer here…
January 21st, 2010 at 2:21 pm
I found pictures of Andre on Google Images, but I’m still trying to figure out what’s next.
January 21st, 2010 at 2:22 pm
Ok so this guy named andre is doing a project… what is it? what’s his website?
January 21st, 2010 at 2:22 pm
I’m still not sure I understand the significance of the words in red.
January 21st, 2010 at 2:22 pm
Great! It says: Andre Palmer With Singe Horse On The Log Rite Logging Arch
January 21st, 2010 at 2:22 pm
1, 2, 3 could be a count down for a race or something.
January 21st, 2010 at 2:23 pm
came up blank when I searched for black and white pictures of andre dignelli.
January 21st, 2010 at 2:23 pm
@alex Where does it say that?
January 21st, 2010 at 2:23 pm
Nick: His website is http://www.animalpowerfielddays.org
January 21st, 2010 at 2:24 pm
I think this is the pic:
http://www.animalpowerfielddays.org/images/2009//Andre%20Palmer%20with%20Three%20and%20White%20Horse%20Sulky%20Plow,%20and

January 21st, 2010 at 2:25 pm
@Nick: Right here: http://www.animalpowerfielddays.org/gallery08.php?yid=3&year=2009 It’s the 4th picture, and then I am looking at the third pic. of him.
January 21st, 2010 at 2:25 pm
at andre’s website…….the third picture has a caption which says “AN EVENT FOR ALL AGES”
sounds like the rebelution to me!!!
January 21st, 2010 at 2:26 pm
Oh, Michelle is probably right!!
January 21st, 2010 at 2:26 pm
there is a baby clinging to a dude’s leg….in the picture….maybe a clue?
January 21st, 2010 at 2:26 pm
i agree michelle
January 21st, 2010 at 2:26 pm
@ Michelle: Yep, I think that’s a clue.
I figured that out awhile ago…but I am trying to figure out where to go from there, haha.
January 21st, 2010 at 2:26 pm
But it’s not a picture of Andre, so does it count?
January 21st, 2010 at 2:27 pm
I thought the guys last name started with a “D”
January 21st, 2010 at 2:27 pm
I think that isn’t the picture because that one doesn’t mention andre or have horses in it.
January 21st, 2010 at 2:27 pm
Yay! at least we know everyone is invited!!
January 21st, 2010 at 2:27 pm
I got it! Put “animalpowerfielddays” into the link Brett gave us. You come up with a word search.
January 21st, 2010 at 2:28 pm
Those pictures are of Andre Palmer, though, not Andre Dignelli…

January 21st, 2010 at 2:47 pm

January 21st, 2010 at 2:47 pm

January 21st, 2010 at 2:48 pm
Michelle: confess, shout, honorable, kindness, courage. where was wisdom?
January 21st, 2010 at 2:48 pm
Yeah, why is there a 2008?
January 21st, 2010 at 2:48 pm
nick, sara: am i missing a link?
January 21st, 2010 at 2:49 pm
hm. no i didn’t see that part. any ideas about what to put in the blanks?
January 21st, 2010 at 2:49 pm
The sentence at the bottom only works if you cross off the words that aren’t on the list.
January 21st, 2010 at 2:49 pm
WHAT DO YOU MEAN, YOU GUYS FINISHED THE PUZZLE?!?!?!?!? Noooooooo!
January 21st, 2010 at 2:50 pm
it says isdom
and the w is an uncircled letter the line before it.
i didn’t include shout since the “t” was circled.
January 21st, 2010 at 2:50 pm
What’s the 2008 for?
January 21st, 2010 at 2:51 pm
Michelle: I posted the link for the word search for Lexi.
Autumn: Put in the letters (in order from right to left, up/down) that aren’t crossed off/circled when you’re finished.
January 21st, 2010 at 2:53 pm
does the puzzle count love and lovely in the same word?
January 21st, 2010 at 2:54 pm
Can someone please post a summery of the whole thing?
January 21st, 2010 at 2:54 pm
no i don’t think so. i found love somewhere else
January 21st, 2010 at 2:54 pm
do you have to circle the words not on the list for the sentence below to work?
January 21st, 2010 at 2:55 pm
ok…is there a reason I am finding words on here that are not listed? somebody please help!!!!!!
January 21st, 2010 at 2:55 pm
I’m confused - I finished everything except for 2008 and when I try to fill in the blanks, it’s giving me jibberish.
January 21st, 2010 at 2:55 pm
A number of the words for the word search are Fruits of the Spirit, I noticed.
January 21st, 2010 at 2:55 pm
Michelle: Yes
January 21st, 2010 at 2:55 pm
No, I circled the “love” in lovely before my sister found it on the other side of the search.
“Love” starts from the bottom left corner going up.
January 21st, 2010 at 2:55 pm
working on it ellen!!
January 21st, 2010 at 2:56 pm
I found several words not on the list but I’ll wait until someone with a printer and could do it faster tells me the next step…
January 21st, 2010 at 2:58 pm
nevermind I figured it out. Cross off ALL words, whether or not they’re on the list.
January 21st, 2010 at 2:58 pm
I hate word search puzzles…. I’m never really good at them
January 21st, 2010 at 2:59 pm
but how do we know we got them all? And why is there a 2008?
January 21st, 2010 at 2:59 pm
ok so cross the words that oyou find that are NOT on the list also? thanks!
January 21st, 2010 at 2:59 pm
We’ve got the blanks filled in, but now we’re stuck :(.
January 21st, 2010 at 3:00 pm
yep! Hannah’s got the right idea. circle all the words you find. then, the uncircled words become the phrase.
January 21st, 2010 at 3:00 pm
I should’ve said that earlier! after I said that I found 4 in a row
January 21st, 2010 at 3:00 pm
Okay, let’s compile a list of words not on the list (:)) so that we all find them all. That way we can help each other.
January 21st, 2010 at 3:01 pm
Oh yay! I’m getting it! Thanks guys.
January 21st, 2010 at 3:02 pm
the 2008 is part of the answer to the clue - I’ve got that part figured out.
January 21st, 2010 at 3:04 pm
are some words in the phrase scrambled up?
i.e. the letters have to be re-arranged to created the word.
January 21st, 2010 at 3:04 pm
we seem to have ignored this part of the instructions… ” Once you meet him you will count down 1, 2, 3 — and then use horse sense and black-and-white thinking to discover what he is doing. That will be your last and final clue (and provide the three-letter word you are looking for).”
January 21st, 2010 at 3:05 pm
Please help with the phrase… I just got “Loom kt” What is that?
January 21st, 2010 at 3:05 pm
I’ve taken a completely different way. I think I’ve figured it out!!!
January 21st, 2010 at 3:05 pm
The final phrase will have 34 letters, excluding 2008.
January 21st, 2010 at 3:05 pm
is there a list of words that aren’t listed that anyone has?
January 21st, 2010 at 3:05 pm
I’m seeing a lot of words from Galatians 5:22-23 and Philippians 4:8
January 21st, 2010 at 3:06 pm
We did ignore that, see, I think we find him, the first pic that says Andre, and then count down 1, 2, 3 pictures, and that pic. has a horse in it. I wonder if the crosswords was a clue we skipped.
January 21st, 2010 at 3:06 pm
Anyone know what the last word in that fill-in is?
January 21st, 2010 at 3:06 pm
I’m stuck at the bottom. Anybody find any words (not on the list) besides courage, kindness, and honorable?
January 21st, 2010 at 3:06 pm
Which is this image: http://www.animalpowerfielddays.org/images/2009//Andre%20Palmer%20with%20Three%20and%20White%20Horse%20Sulky%20Plow,%20and%20Pat%20Bacon%20with%20Mules%20on%20Culti-packer.jpg
January 21st, 2010 at 3:07 pm
Shout, confess… any more?
January 21st, 2010 at 3:07 pm
Nick: the “m” starts the word “memorize”.
January 21st, 2010 at 3:07 pm
@Nick: it’s “look to” i think……
January 21st, 2010 at 3:07 pm
i found kindness, honorable, courage, confess and wisdom with out the (w)
January 21st, 2010 at 3:08 pm
I’m lost…..
January 21st, 2010 at 3:08 pm
Sara: confess, shout, sly (??)
January 21st, 2010 at 3:08 pm
Sara: yes, I got rejoice, shout, and confess also.
January 21st, 2010 at 3:08 pm
alex: what is he doing in the third picture? what does that have to do with horse sense and black-and-white thinking?
January 21st, 2010 at 3:08 pm
Is “gym” in the phrase?
January 21st, 2010 at 3:08 pm
I also found “thrive”.
January 21st, 2010 at 3:08 pm
pray also, and fast
January 21st, 2010 at 3:08 pm
So far I’ve got “look to previous years”…anybody know what’s next?
January 21st, 2010 at 3:09 pm
nope…i think the three letter word in the phrase is “all”
January 21st, 2010 at 3:09 pm
I have all of the phrase except the last word, and I’m totally stumped.
January 21st, 2010 at 3:09 pm
ok with the letters I had you so could not spell memorize so I did it really wrong
January 21st, 2010 at 3:10 pm
that’s what the first part is!
January 21st, 2010 at 3:10 pm
how are you filling in the blanks??? like where did you get look to previous years??
January 21st, 2010 at 3:10 pm
@Bayer - I don’t deal with horses, but I was thinking he is patting it or nuzzling it or sattling it except I think it should be a 3 letter verb.
January 21st, 2010 at 3:10 pm
Thanks, Hannah!!
January 21st, 2010 at 3:11 pm
look to previous years!! 2008!! try the animalpowerfielddays website and the :previous years” link at the top
January 21st, 2010 at 3:11 pm
just kidding….meant “for” oops.
January 21st, 2010 at 3:11 pm
look to previous years for…
January 21st, 2010 at 3:12 pm
Sorry, Nick, I wasn’t very clear. The word memorize is in the puzzle starting with the m in the top row. So that m can’t go in one of the blanks.
January 21st, 2010 at 3:12 pm
lexi: did you complete the word search? the letters that are un-circled make words. hope that helps.
January 21st, 2010 at 3:12 pm
look to previous years for a gallery of…
January 21st, 2010 at 3:12 pm
oh my gosh thats it!
January 21st, 2010 at 3:13 pm

January 21st, 2010 at 3:15 pm
wisdom fits….but what does that phrase mean?
January 21st, 2010 at 3:15 pm
A gallery of 2008?
January 21st, 2010 at 3:15 pm
Yeah, me too, except that didn’t work. Everyone, the pic. we are looking at is here: http://www.animalpowerfielddays.org/images/2008//Andre%20Palmer%20Plowing%203%20Abreast%20with%20White%20Horse%20Plow%20at%20Howvale%20Farm%20Working%20Demos.jpg
January 21st, 2010 at 3:15 pm
ok guys I think this might be the right direction:
http://www.animalpowerfielddays.org/gallery08.php?yid=3&year=2009
click on “previous years” then go to 2008 gallery
” Once you meet [Andre Palmer] you will count down 1, 2, 3 — and then use horse sense and black-and-white thinking to discover what he is doing. That will be your last and final clue (and provide the three-letter word you are looking for).”
January 21st, 2010 at 3:15 pm
HORSES somebody check the word horses that fits!
January 21st, 2010 at 3:16 pm
“Look to previous years for a gallery of wisdom” would make sense with the theme of twenty29.
January 21st, 2010 at 3:17 pm
http://www.animalpowerfielddays.org/gallery.php?yid=2&year=2008
January 21st, 2010 at 3:17 pm
the 2008 photo page contains a lot more hay.
January 21st, 2010 at 3:18 pm
hmmm ok so I am in 2008 gallery…but what are we looking for? the third pic down once we find Andre is him plowing…what is a 3 letter word??
January 21st, 2010 at 3:18 pm
so he’s driving horses?
January 21st, 2010 at 3:18 pm
wait.. is the 3 letter word “8up”?
January 21st, 2010 at 3:18 pm
in the animalpowerfielddays website….the link to previous years….then 2008 gallery….the third picture down…..a dude is talking into a microphone…….and someone else has raffle tickets….
also the title is “And the winner is”
January 21st, 2010 at 3:18 pm
the third picture andre is in… what is he doing? (three letter word): “sit”
what do you guys think?
January 21st, 2010 at 3:18 pm
wait…hay! is that the word??!?!
January 21st, 2010 at 3:18 pm
Look in the picture of the black and white horses, there is some kid on the chariot with him. Mabey that ties in with twenty29. Just thinking
January 21st, 2010 at 3:19 pm
the plowing is the fourth picture down…
January 21st, 2010 at 3:19 pm
bayer…that sounds like thats could work! somebody try it in a link!
January 21st, 2010 at 3:19 pm
is it Andre Dignelli or Andre Palmer - what do you think?
January 21st, 2010 at 3:20 pm
hmmmm is there an Andre Dignelli on this site too? oh no!
January 21st, 2010 at 3:20 pm
Sit and Win and Hay don’t work in the link.
January 21st, 2010 at 3:21 pm
Lizzy: just tried the exact same thing
January 21st, 2010 at 3:21 pm
black and white thinking: the horse on the left is black and white.
January 21st, 2010 at 3:22 pm
The third picture down from the first of Andre is him “tedding” which means to spread out newly cut grass to dry (i.e. hay).
January 21st, 2010 at 3:22 pm
neither does 8up
January 21st, 2010 at 3:22 pm
hmm try sam
January 21st, 2010 at 3:22 pm
any ideas?
January 21st, 2010 at 3:23 pm
“and then use horse sense and black-and-white thinking to discover what he is doing” So…he’s plowing right? I tried it though…it doesn’t work. Maybe he’s referring to what the horse it doing?
January 21st, 2010 at 3:23 pm
Can somebody please briefly update me on the state of things here as I rejoin the group? Is a new clue unlocked?
I took a quick break for lunch and revised my history paper…and look what happened!
January 21st, 2010 at 3:24 pm
The B&W horse is on the left in one pic, then the middle for a few, and right at the end. 3-2-1 from the point of view of the horse?
January 21st, 2010 at 3:24 pm
There are THREE horses…and one or two of them are black and white…hmmm…?
January 21st, 2010 at 3:24 pm
he’s plowing…raking…turning up the earth…i don’t know.
January 21st, 2010 at 3:24 pm
The person is Andre Palmer, and his pic. is on this page: http://www.animalpowerfielddays.org/gallery08.php?yid=3&year=2008
There are black and white horses too!
January 21st, 2010 at 3:24 pm
haha C.R, there was another word scramble thing…we have the phrase and are looking a the 2008 photo gallery on Andre’s website for a 3 letter word
January 21st, 2010 at 3:25 pm
wait….what picture are you guys looking at?
January 21st, 2010 at 3:26 pm
The title over one of the pictures is…”Tedding Hay During Equipment Demos”
Soooo he’s *tedding* the *hay*…can we take that somewhere?
January 21st, 2010 at 3:26 pm
they are looking at the first picture that has Andre in it
January 21st, 2010 at 3:26 pm
i tried both of those words and nothing came up
January 21st, 2010 at 3:27 pm
Okay, thanks Lexi.
January 21st, 2010 at 3:27 pm
You know, when the owners of the “animalpowerfielddays” website look at their traffic log for today, they’re going to wonder what was going on that they’re getting a million hits…
January 21st, 2010 at 3:27 pm
Well, it says to “discover what he is doing” in Brett’s clue…and he’s apparently tedding hay…sooo…
January 21st, 2010 at 3:28 pm
Nothing for sam, hay, tedding, horse, plow, or 8up
January 21st, 2010 at 3:28 pm
right…we all see what he is doing…but what 3 word do we need? none of them work!
January 21st, 2010 at 3:28 pm
Right now we’re all guessing. The answer should be more obvious than all that.
January 21st, 2010 at 3:29 pm
thanks Nick! I tried oil too…even though it was not on his picture
January 21st, 2010 at 3:29 pm
Yes, it must be easy…
January 21st, 2010 at 3:29 pm
What is the phrase at the end of the word search?
January 21st, 2010 at 3:30 pm
Grrr….3-letter word….>.>
January 21st, 2010 at 3:30 pm
i know i am a little behind, but what was the phrase at the bottom of the word cross?
January 21st, 2010 at 3:30 pm
Are we sure it’s a word and not three letters that are suppose to stand for something?
January 21st, 2010 at 3:30 pm
the phrase is “look to previous years for a gallery of wisdom”
January 21st, 2010 at 3:30 pm
ok so find out what he’s doing… In the pictures he’s “tedding” or “driving” but neither of those are 3 letters
January 21st, 2010 at 3:31 pm
the phrase is… “look to previous years years for a gallery of horses”
January 21st, 2010 at 3:31 pm
Rebeca it’s “Look to previous years for a gallery of wisdom.”
January 21st, 2010 at 3:32 pm
i am very confused. someone please breifly update me on what has happened since brett posted the billy grahm clue last night?!!!!
January 21st, 2010 at 3:32 pm
ok guys we have to use horse sense and black-and-white thinking…
January 21st, 2010 at 3:32 pm
So it is going to the previous year, 2008, on that site.
January 21st, 2010 at 3:33 pm
Maybe we’re looking in the wrong year…
January 21st, 2010 at 3:33 pm
bayer: do you know what it is?
January 21st, 2010 at 3:33 pm
ok wait…Brett never says that a 3-letter word will take us to the clue…it just says see what the man is doing and that is your last clue. Provide the 3-letter word you are looking for.
but what does that mean!
January 21st, 2010 at 3:34 pm
I’m a rider, I should know how to think horse but apparently not…lol
January 21st, 2010 at 3:35 pm
Has anyone thought of looking to previous years on here?
January 21st, 2010 at 3:35 pm
I just found this on the site… “SUPPORT NEAPFD” That’s a major typo… Any body think it might have something to do with it?
January 21st, 2010 at 3:35 pm
what kind of horses are they?
January 21st, 2010 at 3:35 pm
Is andre palmaer on this site anywhere?
January 21st, 2010 at 3:35 pm
NICK!!!! You are just too funny to watch!!! =P
January 21st, 2010 at 3:35 pm
Sara: no, but I’m trying to keep people going in the right direction.
Lexi: does that mean that we’ll have no confirmation as to what the three letter word is until Brett comes?
January 21st, 2010 at 3:35 pm
did anyone find the typo in the post helpful yet?
January 21st, 2010 at 3:36 pm
In the third picture, the guy’s reading a raffle ticket and speaking into a microphone.
Also, are we absolutely sure the picture’s on this page? There are other pages under ‘2008′ with pictures on them…
January 21st, 2010 at 3:36 pm
guys…the 3rd picture down from when we first see Andre is him Tedding with 3 horses. what 3-letter word does Brett want us to provide that we are looking for. We know what he is doing
January 21st, 2010 at 3:37 pm
Michelle, that is how they got ‘Andre’
January 21st, 2010 at 3:37 pm
Yes Michelle - the typo-ed word rearranged spelled “Andre,” and we followed that to Andre Digelli (sp?) for the horses and Andre Palmer for the photos.
January 21st, 2010 at 3:38 pm
He does not say that the three letter word in there… he said it will provide the last clue. You found the field days. That is what he is doing.
The clue was the phrase in the word puzzle. It doesn’t have to be on that site. It could be on here….
January 21st, 2010 at 3:39 pm
But I am all muddled, so pay no mind to me… I think I am off…. WAY off….
January 21st, 2010 at 3:39 pm
gotcha!! thanks.
January 21st, 2010 at 3:39 pm
Glad I’m so entertaining…. Wait you can see me? Where are you? ;D
I’m stumped….
January 21st, 2010 at 3:40 pm
but then why take us to that horse website? doesnt make sense
January 21st, 2010 at 3:40 pm
Ehhh I doubt this’ll lead anywhere in the search…but in case anyone’s interested, here’s the link to the 2008 archives for this site…http://www.therebelution.com/blog/2008
January 21st, 2010 at 3:41 pm
Alex and Brett are going to have loads of fun reading this later…
January 21st, 2010 at 3:41 pm
haha it may take them hours to read it =D
January 21st, 2010 at 3:41 pm
Nick: Where do you see that?
January 21st, 2010 at 3:42 pm
@ tristen
Well, it’s a very long story! Did you read Brett’s post all the way through? If so, it’s pretty simple. Basically, today’s clues and puzzles all tie in with this guy Andre Dignelli, a horse trainer. We finished the first puzzle which was a code type thing, and the second puzzle which was a word search. Now, from the results of the word search people are trying to get more clues, I think. That’s all I know - I missed about thirty minutes in there so I’m still trying to get up to speed myself.
January 21st, 2010 at 3:42 pm
http://www.therebelution.com/blog/2006/10/faces-of-the-academy/ there’s some pictures of “ANDREws” one of the only things I could find on this blog…
January 21st, 2010 at 3:42 pm
yep! it will probably take them forever too!! There are so many comments….almost 500!!
January 21st, 2010 at 3:42 pm
There are three years to check; 2007, 2008, & 2009.
January 21st, 2010 at 3:42 pm
They deserve a prize for keeping this many people entertained for four hours!
January 21st, 2010 at 3:42 pm
@Rebecca See what?
January 21st, 2010 at 3:42 pm
Hmmm and here’s the description for the third picture with Andre Palmer in it: “Andre Palmer Plowing 3 Abreast with White Horse Plow at Howvale Farm Working Demos”
Eeesh. This is crazy! I’m so distracted, but there’s no way I can focus on my homework right now…>.<
January 21st, 2010 at 3:43 pm
Hannah Y, I had the same thought. This has been a crazy rabbit trail since last night!
January 21st, 2010 at 3:43 pm
Referring to a previous commenter; ya’ll just might make the FBI team yet!
Good job!
January 21st, 2010 at 3:43 pm
haha i think seeing us doing this for so long IS their prize lol
January 21st, 2010 at 3:44 pm
I have been trying to follow this and figure things out for myself, but every time I get something someone else is a step ahead of me! But we’ve got pretty far! Brett should be out of class any time now, and we might get a bit more help!
January 21st, 2010 at 3:44 pm
*sigh* Am trying every three letter word that was suggested forwards and backwards.
January 21st, 2010 at 3:44 pm
I am so not getting this.
January 21st, 2010 at 3:44 pm
I am just refreshing the page and “watching” ya’ll on your quest… lol.
January 21st, 2010 at 3:44 pm
More than four hours, Sara! lol
And @Hannah…do you know if Alex is going to be involved as much now that he’s married and all?
January 21st, 2010 at 3:44 pm
Sara: not a prize. they should get a punishment for wasting so many peoples time!! haha
January 21st, 2010 at 3:45 pm
I can’t spend the rest of the day on the computer haha. I’ll check back in later. Hope you guys figure it out!
January 21st, 2010 at 3:46 pm
WAIT GUYS!!!!! reread Bretts clues at the top….I think i am getting it
January 21st, 2010 at 3:46 pm
bayer, didn’t you say you were going to do homework?
January 21st, 2010 at 3:46 pm
I may be way off…but here’s some interesting Rebelution posts from 2008 that may relate to the elusive “gallery of wisdom”…
http://www.therebelution.com/blog/2008/12/the-oldest-rebelutionary/
http://www.therebelution.com/blog/2008/09/upcoming-events-in-october/
January 21st, 2010 at 3:46 pm
Alex is married?
January 21st, 2010 at 3:47 pm
the 3 letter word is the FIRST THREE LETTERS OF THE LAST CLUE (ie: what he is doing)
January 21st, 2010 at 3:47 pm
C.R.: I said I was debating…. homework lost.
January 21st, 2010 at 3:47 pm
gah! Alex got married? I thought it was going to be this summer! O_O
January 21st, 2010 at 3:47 pm

January 21st, 2010 at 3:48 pm
Typical.
January 21st, 2010 at 3:48 pm
Hannah Y: I’m just laughing thinking about Brett’s reaction to that comment.
January 21st, 2010 at 3:48 pm
oooooooooooo ok i knew he got engaged..just didnt remember when the wedding was
January 21st, 2010 at 3:48 pm

@Nick Oh okay, thanks
January 21st, 2010 at 3:51 pm

January 21st, 2010 at 3:51 pm

January 21st, 2010 at 3:52 pm
SO just google TED….
January 21st, 2010 at 3:52 pm
arerggggg it wont let me put up the link!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOO
January 21st, 2010 at 3:52 pm
lol so what is ted?
January 21st, 2010 at 3:52 pm
A quick google search for TED brings up http://www.ted.com/
January 21st, 2010 at 3:52 pm
I tried ted, though! I didn’t think it worked before…>.< Aghhhh lol!!!!
January 21st, 2010 at 3:52 pm
Google is your friend, Ted. huh?
January 21st, 2010 at 3:53 pm
that’s not it….. The title on google made it sound like it was
January 21st, 2010 at 3:53 pm
funny, ted didn’t work for me before when I put it in. works now though!
January 21st, 2010 at 3:53 pm
for all the girls who are still wondering about the wedding, it was January 2nd = D
January 21st, 2010 at 3:53 pm
@ Nick, do you think that’s relevant?
Very interesting….
January 21st, 2010 at 3:53 pm
Anna Joy: I had tried it, too, but to no avail.
Oh well…at least we have it now!!
January 21st, 2010 at 3:53 pm
ted didn’t work for me before either, I think Brett just activated it so we can view it now
January 21st, 2010 at 3:53 pm
TED.com (Technology, Entertainment, Design)…. doesn’t seem likely
January 21st, 2010 at 3:53 pm
A conference on “technology, entertainment, and design”? Huh? lol..
January 21st, 2010 at 3:54 pm
ah ha!! I got it!
January 21st, 2010 at 3:54 pm
so any ideas?
January 21st, 2010 at 3:54 pm
TED is a small nonprofit devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. It started out (in 1984) as a conference bringing together people from three worlds: Technology, Entertainment, Design.
maybe 2029 is similar…..like character, competence, collaboration.
January 21st, 2010 at 3:54 pm
Google is your friend, Ted. Google is Ted’s friend.
January 21st, 2010 at 3:54 pm
wow I cannot believe i got it….i am horrible at this kind of stuff! =D
January 21st, 2010 at 3:55 pm
I don’t now
January 21st, 2010 at 3:55 pm
Hmmmm somebody’s watching us…and secretly activating pages as we go along…? lol
January 21st, 2010 at 3:55 pm
Becca…. that can’t be… he’s at school…
January 21st, 2010 at 3:55 pm
lol that website for TED doesnt seem like it fits…..maybe Twenty29 is something similar though?
January 21st, 2010 at 3:56 pm
Yeah, Michelle…but didn’t we already know it was about those things?! o.O
January 21st, 2010 at 3:56 pm
@Kay-wouldn’t he be out of class by now?
January 21st, 2010 at 3:56 pm
It could be relevant - who would have thought that Andre Dignelli was relevant to a Rebelution conference, after all? Who knows….
January 21st, 2010 at 3:56 pm
Google is TED’s FRIEND…
January 21st, 2010 at 3:56 pm
Kay, wouldn’t he be out by now?
January 21st, 2010 at 3:57 pm
I tried Ted an hour ago and it didn’t work. ???
January 21st, 2010 at 3:57 pm
I’d like to know who TED is
January 21st, 2010 at 3:57 pm
anna joy: definitely! i tried ted too, and it did not work. So someone/whoever is activating pages.
January 21st, 2010 at 3:57 pm
http://www.therebelution.com/twenty29/ted.jpg
January 21st, 2010 at 3:57 pm
I thought for sure I tried ted already. Guess not. Way to go, Lexi!!
January 21st, 2010 at 3:57 pm
Hannah, you keep saying that! You must be way ahead of me…. I don’t get it!
January 21st, 2010 at 3:57 pm
Hannah Y.: have you got further than that?
January 21st, 2010 at 3:58 pm
“Tedding” can also be shortened to “Ted”.
Just to let ya’ll know.
January 21st, 2010 at 3:58 pm
Ted Friend…maybe…??
January 21st, 2010 at 3:58 pm
Becca, WAY up there he said he’d be back tonight….
January 21st, 2010 at 3:58 pm
@Hannah: could you give a different hint?? My brain’s not working with that one : )
January 21st, 2010 at 3:58 pm
Oh ok, you figured that out.
January 21st, 2010 at 3:58 pm
Becca: he said that he will read everything tonight, idk what time that means lol
January 21st, 2010 at 3:58 pm
lol i was thinking this whole time…..we are doing this wrong! So i went back to his clues and was like…oh my goodness!
January 21st, 2010 at 3:58 pm
I went to the TED website but I don’t get the connection. Maybe Twenty29 is something similar like Lexi said.
January 21st, 2010 at 3:59 pm
so Lexi, you want to give the rest of us a hint??
January 21st, 2010 at 3:59 pm
Hannah: what do you mean? I googled that but nothing came up either
January 21st, 2010 at 3:59 pm
TED in one instance stands for Technology, Entertainment, and Design.
January 21st, 2010 at 3:59 pm
So who has the answer so far?
January 21st, 2010 at 3:59 pm
all the picture told us was something we already knew
January 21st, 2010 at 4:00 pm
Rebecca: ted is the 3-letter word…you put it into the link and it takes you to another clue! =D
January 21st, 2010 at 4:00 pm
Um..ok..I’m lost! HELP!!! So is this it? http://www.ted.com…That’s it? Or what…help?
January 21st, 2010 at 4:00 pm
Oh, I missed the tonight part, I was just assuming he’d check back after the class got out. Oh well. There goes that theory…
January 21st, 2010 at 4:00 pm
Brett said in his post “p.s. Google is your friend” guess Google now likes TED instead
January 21st, 2010 at 4:00 pm
There are two people with the name Ted Friend. One: a animal science professor, and two: an actor.
January 21st, 2010 at 4:01 pm
The clue is when you plug Ted into the equation bringing you to http://www.therebelution.com/twenty29/ted.jpg
January 21st, 2010 at 4:02 pm
“You are ultimately searching for a three-letter word — which are the first three letters of the answer to the very last clue.”
so TED are the first 3 letters to the last clue
January 21st, 2010 at 4:02 pm
I found that too, Hannah. But that’s not it.
January 21st, 2010 at 4:02 pm
lol. Nick’s right. We can’t trust Google. Who’s friend will it be next?!
January 21st, 2010 at 4:02 pm
Oh I just saw some other comments.. Which link do we put it into? the rebelution?
January 21st, 2010 at 4:02 pm
Type “ted” in to the original link…
January 21st, 2010 at 4:02 pm
TED is our final clue, and given that it is all caps, I think it stands for something.
January 21st, 2010 at 4:02 pm
BethAnn……TED is a community of techie buffs who come together for an annual conference….it’s pretty huge….worldwide….
the harris’ want to start a similar community and meet at the cove yearly…..with people of all ages…and promote their three things.
at least that’s what i’m assuming here.
January 21st, 2010 at 4:02 pm
hmmmm thats interesting Nick…I totally forgot about that
January 21st, 2010 at 4:02 pm
Ahhhh, all my comments are awaiting moderation!
Kay: I missed the tonight part, I was assuming he’d come back after the first class. Well, there goes that theory…
January 21st, 2010 at 4:03 pm
Some results for TED:
Ted Turner (founder of CNN)
Ted Kennedy
Torrent Episode Downloader
The Electricity Detective
January 21st, 2010 at 4:03 pm
A Rebelutionary school of science and acting!!!!
JOKING, by the way….
January 21st, 2010 at 4:03 pm
but those people don’t look right - maybe it’s not Ted Friend after all…
January 21st, 2010 at 4:03 pm
“You are ultimately searching for a three-letter word — which are the first three letters of the answer to the very last clue”
Maybe….we need to combine “ted” with something else???
January 21st, 2010 at 4:03 pm
that’s good, Alex - it is in all caps.
January 21st, 2010 at 4:03 pm
haha Nick!! yep, google’s loyalties keep switching apparently!!
January 21st, 2010 at 4:04 pm
TED is the word we “need to provide” I tried TEDfriend and google and other things into the link but it didnt go
January 21st, 2010 at 4:04 pm
Lexi: I did that and then googled TED but I think I got the same website everyone else is getting. Are we suppose to google Ted Friend?
January 21st, 2010 at 4:04 pm
I know who Ted is…
January 21st, 2010 at 4:04 pm
“We can’t trust Google. Who’s friend will it be next?!”
Don’t be evil.
January 21st, 2010 at 4:05 pm
HAYDEN THEN SPIT IT OUT!!! lol =)
January 21st, 2010 at 4:05 pm
Who is Ted, Hayden?
January 21st, 2010 at 4:05 pm
I found this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TED_(conference) it mentions that Billy Graham has given a “TED talk” before.
January 21st, 2010 at 4:05 pm
Now you’re on Hayden… Did my skype links help? Any suggestions for what to do with TED? you’re a fresh brain
January 21st, 2010 at 4:05 pm
Hayden: Who is it?? Pleeeasse tell us!
January 21st, 2010 at 4:05 pm
Kristianna
HE HAS??? It HAS to be, then!
January 21st, 2010 at 4:06 pm
I don’t think that the TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) site is it. I don’t think they’d recommend something that Al Gore is associated with. I could be wrong, of course…
January 21st, 2010 at 4:06 pm
Wow Kristianna!
January 21st, 2010 at 4:06 pm
Gimme a moment….working both possibilities and trying to see which ties in best…
January 21st, 2010 at 4:06 pm
Kristinanna thats brilliant!
January 21st, 2010 at 4:07 pm
I found that about half an hour ago. I don’t think it means anything if Billy Graham spoke at TED.
January 21st, 2010 at 4:07 pm
It all makes sense now!
January 21st, 2010 at 4:07 pm
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TED_conference
January 21st, 2010 at 4:07 pm
wikipedia also says the founders of Google have given “TED talks”
January 21st, 2010 at 4:07 pm
That’s a good connection Kristianna. Maybe that site was relevant… maybe there’s going to be a TED Conference at the Billy Graham center at the cove
January 21st, 2010 at 4:08 pm
So a TED talk is an 18-minute talk? is that it?
January 21st, 2010 at 4:08 pm
The founders of google also have spoken at TED conferences
January 21st, 2010 at 4:08 pm
TED.com is non-profit and stands for Technology, Entertainment, & Design. I suspect Twenty29 uses this somehow, or it’s pointing us to Billy Graham again. But he was on TED!
January 21st, 2010 at 4:08 pm
Quoting the Wikipedia article:
“Those who have given TED talks include Bill Clinton, Al Gore, Gordon Brown, Bill Gates, the founders of Google, the evangelist Billy Graham and various Nobel Prize winners.”
January 21st, 2010 at 4:08 pm

January 21st, 2010 at 4:08 pm

January 21st, 2010 at 4:09 pm
Did you guys read this?!?!?!
“Every year since 2005, a $100,000 TED Prize has been awarded to help its winners realise a chosen “wish to change the world”. Each winner unveils their wish at the main annual conference – within the specified 18 minutes.”
January 21st, 2010 at 4:09 pm
“Every year since 2005, a $100,000 TED Prize has been awarded to help its winners realise a chosen “wish to change the world”. Each winner unveils their wish at the main annual conference – within the specified 18 minutes.” Maybe Alex & Brett want to try?
January 21st, 2010 at 4:09 pm
Okay…Google Ted Friend. Two things come up at the top: http://animalscience.tamu.edu/facultystaff/faculty/friend.htm and http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0295554/. I worked with Ted Friend (actor), and he doesn’t tie into anything we saw before (”The Court Jester” or “Star Wars”). And since the other Ted Friend works with animals, I would think he’s the one. Gimme a sec…I might have a way to prove that…
January 21st, 2010 at 4:10 pm
hey guys…on the TED website..it has a theme page…one of them says the Rise of Collaboration!
January 21st, 2010 at 4:10 pm
Wow that would be awesome!! That has to be it!!
January 21st, 2010 at 4:10 pm
Hannah Y: blonde moment there?
January 21st, 2010 at 4:10 pm
I was helpful!
yay!!! Maybe I’ll make the FBI team
January 21st, 2010 at 4:11 pm
Lexi: are we right or wrong?
January 21st, 2010 at 4:12 pm
Wow this is confusing. I was looking at the TED web site and I don’t see how it would have anything to do with this… or do we have everything from this post and t-e-d just the first 3 letters of the answer to a clue we are going to be getting?
January 21st, 2010 at 4:12 pm
I hate the fact that I have to leave now…. when I get back I’ll have to read like 300 more comments
January 21st, 2010 at 4:12 pm
I guess so, Cynthia - I do have blond hair!
January 21st, 2010 at 4:12 pm
You know if you take the “s” out of the message it says:
Google your friend, TED
January 21st, 2010 at 4:12 pm
Me too:(
January 21st, 2010 at 4:13 pm
W00t!!! Go, Nick and Alex!!! That HAS to be it!
(Idk if this link could be helpful: http://www.ted.com/search?q=billy+graham&x=0&y=0)
January 21st, 2010 at 4:13 pm
haha Nick oh no if we have to go internet hunting again Im DONE
January 21st, 2010 at 4:13 pm
But if it has to do with the TED prize or conference why wouldn’t they just do it as the Rebelution? Why the new Twenty29?
January 21st, 2010 at 4:13 pm
Look at this! The rebelution did have a post about TED
http://www.therebelution.com/blog/2007/05/watch-eva-vertes-at-ted-2005/
January 21st, 2010 at 4:13 pm
Okay, I SO GOT IT!!! YAY! I CRACKED THE LINK! =D
January 21st, 2010 at 4:13 pm
So is the next TED conference at the Cove with Billy Graham and Alex & Brett want to present something?
January 21st, 2010 at 4:13 pm
I’m wondering if twenty29 is something similar… I don’t know that they would make a new website for a TED conference.
January 21st, 2010 at 4:13 pm
I’m not happy with the way it turned out, because I’m still not positive…how does it tell us what the twenty29 project is?
January 21st, 2010 at 4:14 pm
maybe thats their new project to change the world
January 21st, 2010 at 4:14 pm
Maybe…haha…I did get words, but no pic..was there supposed to be a pic?
January 21st, 2010 at 4:14 pm
yeah…it doesnt lol i think thats what he wanted =)
January 21st, 2010 at 4:14 pm
Maybe its a collaboration between older and younger people
January 21st, 2010 at 4:15 pm
There are definitely some missing pieces, but I think we’re on the right track.
January 21st, 2010 at 4:15 pm
This could be way off…but check this out. http://www.ted.com/talks/lang/eng/billy_graham_on_technology_faith_and_suffering.html
Notice the website, TED!
Thoughts?
January 21st, 2010 at 4:15 pm
NICK YOU ARE AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THATS IT!
January 21st, 2010 at 4:15 pm
What did you get, Alesia???
January 21st, 2010 at 4:16 pm
I think that TED is where we are supposed to be looking, but I’m guessing we’ll have to wait for Brett to explain why.
January 21st, 2010 at 4:17 pm
Nick whoot! ok, so I think I got it all figured out
Location: The Cove NC
Verse: Proverbs 20:29
3-letter word: ted
Website: ted.com
what is twenty29: a TED award to Alex and Brett to change the world again! =)
January 21st, 2010 at 4:17 pm
Hannah H: that’s exactly what I was wondering…have any ideas??
January 21st, 2010 at 4:17 pm
I got
“Google is your friend, TED”
haha, what’s funny is that it was my VERY first try!
January 21st, 2010 at 4:17 pm
guys…go read Nick’s comment a little ways up…it has a link from the Rebelution about TED
January 21st, 2010 at 4:18 pm
That’s great! Thanks for the compliments
January 21st, 2010 at 4:18 pm
I can’t believe we figured it out!
January 21st, 2010 at 4:19 pm
AHHHH THIS IS AMAZING *pumps fist in air* we all need awards for this…man we are the best FBI team ever! =)
January 21st, 2010 at 4:19 pm
Were all of Brett’s hints resolved?
January 21st, 2010 at 4:19 pm
Whew. That was pretty intense…:P
January 21st, 2010 at 4:19 pm
so…what does this all mean? What is Twenty29?
January 21st, 2010 at 4:20 pm
we think so Jennifer! I guess we will just have to wait until Brett posts later
January 21st, 2010 at 4:20 pm
Yep, it’s totally the FBI for y’all! Way to go!
January 21st, 2010 at 4:20 pm
So, are we saying it is the TED conference located at the Cove broadcasted live?
January 21st, 2010 at 4:20 pm
alright, well I gotta go….see yall later!
January 21st, 2010 at 4:21 pm
I’ve got to go - marking where I leave off.
be back later to catch up…
January 21st, 2010 at 4:21 pm
Awesome collaboration, y’all!!!!!!
January 21st, 2010 at 4:21 pm
Oh my goodness, I can’t believe I just read through ALL those comments… This is so exhilarating!
January 21st, 2010 at 4:21 pm
*Scratches head* All these hints and I’m still dumbfounded… O.o
January 21st, 2010 at 4:22 pm
@alesia What exactly don’t you understand? what the clue is?
January 21st, 2010 at 4:22 pm
OMGosh.
I just realized that I saved the Eva Vertes link when it was first posted several years ago because I liked it a lot. I copied it into a Word doc and everything. That means…oh my…I’ve had the clue in my computer folder this whole time!!! Wow………
January 21st, 2010 at 4:22 pm
@Alesia: basically what we are thinking is what Lexi posted above:
January 21st, 2010 at 4:22 pm
“Location: The Cove NC
Verse: Proverbs 20:29
3-letter word: ted
Website: ted.com
what is twenty29: a TED award to Alex and Brett to change the world again! =)”
January 21st, 2010 at 4:23 pm
Hey guys,
check this out! I was talking with Kristin Carr, and I showed her this link, http://video.google.com/ted.html
So, Ted was a possibility! Brett mentioned two clues in his post. The typo and the BMW! BMW is the new sponsor for TED (which is confirmed in the link I just posted).
-Justin
January 21st, 2010 at 4:23 pm
great job everyone! we could all make a pretty awesome FBI team
January 21st, 2010 at 4:25 pm
So our clues our
Billy Graham
The Cove
TED Conference
Proverbs 20:23
Right?
So what is Twenty29.org for?
January 21st, 2010 at 4:27 pm
Location: The Cove NC
Verse: Proverbs 20:29
3-letter word: ted
Website: ted.com
what is twenty29: a TED award to Alex and Brett to change the world again! =)”
January 21st, 2010 at 4:27 pm
Alright Brett, I think the super sleuthing FBI team has got it, so spill the beans!
January 21st, 2010 at 4:28 pm
No, it’s just that Twenty29, talks about young and old coming together, with the possibilities of changing the world.
I don’t think an award could do that. Of course Alex and Brett could do that, with Gods help of course. But I think it’s more likely to be a program or conferences, or maybe even another form of DHT.
I’m not exactly sure what it is, it baffles me.
January 21st, 2010 at 4:28 pm
Brett won’t be on until later today. And I don’t think we’re FBI material, yet. XP
January 21st, 2010 at 4:29 pm
Think of what it took to set this whole “treasure hunt” up! Wow.
January 21st, 2010 at 4:29 pm
He probably won’t be on for quite a while, since the PHC basketball team has a game tonight (at 7:30)…so we have a while to wait…
January 21st, 2010 at 4:29 pm
Wow, did any of you watch the 2005 video someone posted early, that is on the Rebelution blog? That is really cool!
January 21st, 2010 at 4:29 pm
Maybe Twent29 will serve as the server to broadcast TED in 2011???
January 21st, 2010 at 4:30 pm
How exciting! That was some seriously great teamwork!
I’ll be back later to see the final details being ironed out.
January 21st, 2010 at 4:30 pm
Alex and Brett your FBI team is up and ready
January 21st, 2010 at 4:32 pm
And think of it, it only took about a 1000 comments to get to the bottom of it.
Still impressive. I’m just surprised their servers haven’t crashed yet!
January 21st, 2010 at 4:33 pm
Wow. I am still not sure that I get all the details but I have a feeling those will be explained later. You guys are awesome!!!! Talk about collaboration!!!!
January 21st, 2010 at 4:37 pm
This is one of the best treasure hunts of all time
There are some very creative brains behind it! Great job!
January 21st, 2010 at 4:38 pm
The most important thing about this is that we Rebelutionaries pulled together (albeit like rabid dogs…) to sniff out what was laid before us… now to resume our intelligent roles and put it all together… =)
January 21st, 2010 at 4:41 pm
That was so well done. An excellent treasure hunt.
January 21st, 2010 at 4:43 pm
Justin, Lexi, Hayden, Lindsay, and the rest of you…. I feel like I know you all so well after reading all these comments!!! This is insane!
January 21st, 2010 at 4:45 pm
It was a great, fun, and memorable time, but I have a feeling it isn’t over yet!
January 21st, 2010 at 4:48 pm
Well the three letter word “ted” is the beginning of the last clue, right?
January 21st, 2010 at 4:51 pm
Most I’ve ever commented on a blog post before
Great example of Collaboration!
January 21st, 2010 at 4:53 pm
Was that the last clue?
January 21st, 2010 at 4:56 pm
“You are ultimately searching for a three-letter word — which are the first three letters of the answer to the very last clue.”
January 21st, 2010 at 4:57 pm
Maybe Alex & Brett are going to host their own version of a TED conference at the Cove, with young people giving 18 minute speeches on how they think they can change the world. Also, maybe there will be established adults serving as a panel of judges that will pick the best idea presented and help that young person achieve their idea. Just a thought…
January 21st, 2010 at 4:57 pm
Oh haha, duh. Okay thanks =)
January 21st, 2010 at 4:57 pm
It’s been a pleasure posting with you guys also!
Brett still needs to confirm everything and give us the exact role “Twenty29″ will play. But I think we have most of it!
January 21st, 2010 at 4:58 pm
Yes. It says so at the top.
Wow did I come in to late to help…
January 21st, 2010 at 5:00 pm
I am confused, i’ve recieved two of these E-mails and I don’t get it! I geocache so I like treasuer hunts and mysteries, fill me in!
January 21st, 2010 at 5:04 pm
Do you want to know what we found out? Or just a basic summary of the hints so you can figure it out for yourself?
January 21st, 2010 at 5:12 pm
I’ve solved the code (ok, my brother did), but I still don’t get it…
January 21st, 2010 at 5:20 pm
ok, so i see all the pieces (im sad i couldnt figuire some of it out myself) but how do they all come together to solve the puzzel of twenty29????
January 21st, 2010 at 5:22 pm
Wow, I didn’t even realize there was any treasure hunt/clues or anything to find out, until about an hour ago when I read Brett’s last post, then I was like, “what?” I read through all the comments. You guys sure had fun figuring it out, I followed the links, wow they must have spent months working on this treasure hunt and making all the clues. I’m still waiting to finding out what the final is. I never would have been able to figure it out myself unless I spent hours and hours on it, which I totally don’t have time for, lol.
January 21st, 2010 at 5:23 pm
Are we allowed to post the answer to any of the clues?
January 21st, 2010 at 5:33 pm
trey: a bunch of us posted the answer earlier, so ya lol
January 21st, 2010 at 5:36 pm
Yes, the clues have been posted and our predictions of what they are.
Trey, what do you think these clues allude to?
-Justin
January 21st, 2010 at 5:36 pm
Whew. Great job people. Can’t wait to see if they were all right!
January 21st, 2010 at 5:37 pm
Whatever the case, props to Brett for creating this AMAZING scavenger hunt. Wow! You must have spent a lot of time on it–brilliant!
Congratulations ladies and gentlemen on this awesome team work. What a great example of collaboration and communication! Nice work!
One thing this search has convinced me of, I need to take a trip out to the Cove. It looks like paradise on earth.
January 21st, 2010 at 5:38 pm
I am extreamly confused. Can someone please fill me in?
January 21st, 2010 at 5:39 pm
http://www.ted.com/pages/view?id=348
Scroll down to United States and then you’ll see “TEDxAsheville - 8/29/10″
Asheville is the city that The Cove is in!
So Twenty29 is a TED event at The Cove on August 29.
January 21st, 2010 at 5:41 pm
August 29′th? haha..why is it always that date?
That’s my b-day xD
January 21st, 2010 at 5:43 pm
OK, so, I just reread my previos comment wnd relized how extreamly vauge it was. Hahaha oooops. Do the clues go in any specific order?
January 21st, 2010 at 5:44 pm
That can’t be it… Alex and Brett are going to be in MO the day before hand for a Do Hard Things conference.
January 21st, 2010 at 5:50 pm

January 21st, 2010 at 6:18 pm
Alright so when should Brett be getting on tonight? I really want to know what he is planning!
January 21st, 2010 at 6:25 pm
Hey Kay, I know it’s kinda off topic, but on your site, you have a little button that says “tired of low expectations? join the Rebelution” how do you get that?
I’ve been trying to find one of those to put on my blog for MONTHS now!
January 21st, 2010 at 6:30 pm
HAHAHA wow i go off for a couple of hours and you guys are still at it! =D

January 21st, 2010 at 6:31 pm
I’d like to know. I’ve been thinking about jjooining the forum. How long does it take to get your membership form approved. Just asking.
January 21st, 2010 at 6:32 pm

January 21st, 2010 at 6:35 pm
I was laughing at Lexi’s comment.
January 21st, 2010 at 6:35 pm

oh! and btw, our first well was completed this week in Sudan! =)
January 21st, 2010 at 6:37 pm
so Alex, since you are married, are you going to still be really involved with The Rebelution, or go off to become president? =)
January 21st, 2010 at 6:37 pm
Yeah, that was definitley hard. Can you imagine how long Alex and Brett worked on this!
January 21st, 2010 at 6:37 pm
It was pretty fun trying to fiiguer it all out and laghing at ourselves!!! Way to go Brett!!
January 21st, 2010 at 6:38 pm

January 21st, 2010 at 6:40 pm
haha Lexi.
Seriously, we need presidents like Alex and Brett.
Can you imagine the changes?!
January 21st, 2010 at 6:40 pm
Can you imagine the looks on people’s faces if we told them that we did all this and we were homeschoolers. lol
January 21st, 2010 at 6:41 pm
OK I’m not going to sit here at read he next 688 comments, so what was the result of all these?
January 21st, 2010 at 6:41 pm
Alesia I totally agree! Brett and Alex, you guys need to run for president! too bad we are all too young to vote, because you’d win in a week
January 21st, 2010 at 6:41 pm

January 21st, 2010 at 6:42 pm

January 21st, 2010 at 6:43 pm
Okay, so I ve read the rest of the comments after my last one, and I got a feeling that Brett is probably going to put another clue up here. Just a feeling.
January 21st, 2010 at 6:44 pm
Seriously, as a homeschooler, I could get up early and finish my work before lunch.
January 21st, 2010 at 6:44 pm
@ Irina: He better not (but I wouldnt be surprized!)
January 21st, 2010 at 6:45 pm
20 29 is the date the new book(twenty 29) is going to be released? or is it the age of the 2 runig the program? 9/22/10

January 21st, 2010 at 6:48 pm
People are coming over tomorrow night. I hope we’re not still solving it then. lol
January 21st, 2010 at 6:49 pm
It’s the first three letters to the last clue, so it is possible that he might put another one out there.
January 21st, 2010 at 6:49 pm
Well I’m out fellow Rebelutionaries.
I’ll be back tonight (same time Brett mysteriously popped up last night) to see the new damage =)
God Bless you all!
In HIM
Alesia
January 21st, 2010 at 6:49 pm
Lexi: He could mean the last clue for today.
January 21st, 2010 at 6:50 pm
@ Alesia: See you tonight
January 21st, 2010 at 6:51 pm
*moans* I mean…YAY do hard things!! *head drops* I cant take another eyes glued to screen night!
January 21st, 2010 at 6:52 pm
See you Alesia! I have to get off to. I cant be back on for four hours - try not to post too many comments I have to dig through!
January 21st, 2010 at 6:52 pm
Lexi: haha lol
January 21st, 2010 at 6:53 pm
bye Tristen! i hope you won’t have to sift through 200 more comments when you get back!
January 21st, 2010 at 6:54 pm
i have this feeling that at 7pm we are going to have a mass of people back on here to see what new things happened today…I feel so bad! they are going to have to look at 600+ new comments!
January 21st, 2010 at 6:55 pm
Oh no, people are already talking about the next clue!! I haven’t even recovered from today’s epic decodings….
January 21st, 2010 at 6:55 pm
Talk to you later Tristen!
January 21st, 2010 at 6:56 pm
@C.R. haha
January 21st, 2010 at 6:57 pm
So if he does give us another clue, what do you think it will be?
January 21st, 2010 at 6:57 pm
C.R ~ I dont think there will be any more clues…we’ve figured everthing out! But, you never know with the Harris duo
January 21st, 2010 at 6:58 pm
Well I am going to be checking in every little while:) But I just don’t know what to post anymore:( If anybody gets anymore ideas I’ll be back in a while!
January 21st, 2010 at 6:58 pm
it would probably be like finding out the time of the TED thing at The Cove lol
what else is there to uncode? ohhh I hope nothing!
January 21st, 2010 at 7:00 pm
So what was the deal with andre dignelli and andre palmer. which one was it?
January 21st, 2010 at 7:01 pm
well, first we had to find dignelli to get to palmer which got us to TED =) I know….confusing…I came in late this afternoon and had to catch up fast! we got the 3-lettered word and everything clicked for everybody from there. =)
January 21st, 2010 at 7:02 pm
So is TED run by Christians?
January 21st, 2010 at 7:04 pm
After only seven hundred and fourty three comments, I finished the mystery! I did almost all of it on my own, I only wish I had been here when it was epicly figured out!
Camden
January 21st, 2010 at 7:04 pm
no, I dont think so…the TED website is this http://www.ted.com
we are thinking that TED gave Brett and Alex an award for “their wish to change the world” in 2010. We are not exactly sure what TED stands for, if its Christian or not, at least I dont because I have not really looked at it much.
Someone earlier found the date they would be doing the Twenty29 TED thing at the Cove on the TED website. Pretty cool!
January 21st, 2010 at 7:05 pm
hey Camden! nice to see you on here again! =) yup, it was pretty epic when everybody all at once was saying I GOT IT!!!!
January 21st, 2010 at 7:06 pm
Lexi: Interesting
Camden: Can you imagine all the reading that Brett will have to do?
January 21st, 2010 at 7:07 pm
http://www.jumps4joyblog.blogspot.com go check it out! I started an organization working with Compassion and The Water Project to help people in 3rd World countries!
our first well was completed last week in Sudan! God is so amazing! <
January 21st, 2010 at 7:08 pm
Brett’s gotta go through 750 comments….well more than that when he gets back on here…crazy!
January 21st, 2010 at 7:09 pm
Yeah, everyone said I GOT IT at once and then started asking everybody what they got
January 21st, 2010 at 7:09 pm
Poor Brett! lol
January 21st, 2010 at 7:09 pm
Wow!!! I got on late this afternoon and was able to follow ALL the posts! Great job, everyone! I tried to work through the clues by myself but wouldn’t have been able to do it without your help. So many of your comments made me laugh! I had a great time vicariously participating in this treasure hunt through you.
Alex and Brett: This hunt was sooooo clever and such fun! How in the world did you come up with this intricate plan? Any tips on how I could do one of my own?
Awesome job everyone!!!!
January 21st, 2010 at 7:10 pm
Sadly, yes, I can imagine all the reading he’ll have to do. =P =D
I have to say, this is getting more epic the deeper you go into it! Also, I think a good point about collaboration can be made, namely, I know there’s NOOOO WAY I would’ve been able to figure out all of that on my own. It’s when you put an army of Rebelutionaries together that things start to happen!
Camden
January 21st, 2010 at 7:11 pm
what does vicariously mean?!?
January 21st, 2010 at 7:11 pm
we were an army all right haha
January 21st, 2010 at 7:12 pm
lol I agree, it was very funny on here at some points…everybody was saying how we needed to figure it out, and then somebody would bring up this totally random topic. =D
but, I think it was awesome how we all worked together to figure this out. Don’t you?
January 21st, 2010 at 7:13 pm
*light bulb* Brett probably did this on purpose (obviously) to go along with their collaboration theme for 20:29! clever clever
January 21st, 2010 at 7:14 pm
Yep. It was definitly an example of collaboration and teamwork!
January 21st, 2010 at 7:17 pm
Alex and Brett are very clever lol
January 21st, 2010 at 7:17 pm
Sorry to dissapoint, but it can’t be an award given by TED to the Harris bros. Only one award will be given away this year, and it has already been given to a “Jamie Oliver”. They could be hosting a TEDx event, but I find that unlikely as I see no evidence anywhere that TED is a Christian organization.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TED_(conference)
January 21st, 2010 at 7:18 pm
I wonder what relationship TED has to Twenty29 then.
January 21st, 2010 at 7:19 pm
thanks Trey! We know its something with TED, just were not 100% on the award part…but like I said, I didnt look at the website much =)
January 21st, 2010 at 7:19 pm
Anybody have any ideas?
January 21st, 2010 at 7:21 pm
Funny, this is the only blog I’ve heard of that holds three-day long conversations in the comment section. Who needs a forum?
January 21st, 2010 at 7:22 pm
i know really!
January 21st, 2010 at 7:25 pm
altogether, we’ve posted 1,308 comments. I checked.
January 21st, 2010 at 7:25 pm
I have no idea! but hopefully we will find out soon!!!!!
January 21st, 2010 at 7:28 pm
Morgan, here are the facts
Location: The Cove (North Carolina)
Verse: Proverbs 20:29
picture: Billy Graham
3-letter word: ted
TED: http://www.ted.com
Twenty29: a TED event on August 29th for Rebelutionaries……and more on that to come!
January 21st, 2010 at 7:32 pm
Lexi: I actually saw on the “Twenty29″ Facebook page that the Goat and cracker were hints of a location, not a name.
They said :”Clarification: This clue (and the other clues) has to do with WHERE Twenty29 is — not WHO it is.”
=)
January 21st, 2010 at 7:32 pm
Are you sure that it’s on Aug. 29th?
January 21st, 2010 at 7:33 pm
Alesia: oh I know that! the picture was just confirming that it was at The Cove…it is named after Billy Graham. =)
January 21st, 2010 at 7:34 pm
John: I’m not 100% sure, but someone said so up above when they looked at the TED events calender.
January 21st, 2010 at 7:34 pm
They just “clarified” that to make us think lol
January 21st, 2010 at 7:35 pm
ohhhh okay *Smacks head* haha…just call me blonde, I googled it and just saw that now x]
January 21st, 2010 at 7:35 pm
Oh. I actually haven’t been to their website yet. that explains it.
January 21st, 2010 at 7:36 pm
Alesia: saw what now?
January 21st, 2010 at 7:36 pm
=D
January 21st, 2010 at 7:36 pm
I wonder if it annoys Brett that we are posting so often… O.o
I mean, I’d love to see over 700 comments on my blog, haha…but I wonder what he thinks about it….maybe (Brett if you read this) you could tell us if you expected people to be so excited?? haha
January 21st, 2010 at 7:37 pm
John: I googled “The Cove North Carolina” and I saw the Billy Graham Center.
January 21st, 2010 at 7:38 pm
guys go check it out! I started an organization that works with The Water Project and Compassion to help people in 3rd World Countries.
our well was just finished last week in Sudan! God is soo good!
http://thewaterproject.org/community/projects/sudan/kigwo
January 21st, 2010 at 7:42 pm
Oh thanks. I get it now.
January 21st, 2010 at 7:44 pm
haha I wonder how many comments it takes to overload the server.
January 21st, 2010 at 7:45 pm

January 21st, 2010 at 7:45 pm

January 21st, 2010 at 7:46 pm
We’d be glad to give you a list.
January 21st, 2010 at 7:46 pm
You can read more about what a TED event is here: http://www.ted.com/pages/view/id/351
And here is the link that says there will be a TED event in Asheville on August 29: http://www.ted.com/pages/view/id/348
January 21st, 2010 at 7:48 pm
(If you read this) Brett: What I meant to say (lol) was, did you expect people to become so excited over something that was unknown to us? haha…. =D
January 21st, 2010 at 7:49 pm
Sara-Caitrin, thats awesome! I started a non-profit org. as well…this server won’t me put up the link to my website, but just click on my name and it will take you there. I work with Compassion and The Water project.
I am homeschooled, and it has been a great benefit to this and other things. I go to a coop with teens my age and see people all of the time, so homeschoolers ARE social. =)
you can do your school whenver you want to, take a day off, and take fun field trips for school that you would never be able to at public school. It also gives you a sense of responsibility because you are doing everything on your own, so you need to be dedicated.
January 21st, 2010 at 7:50 pm
errgg I just wrote this long comment and it says it is waiting moderation….grrrr
January 21st, 2010 at 7:50 pm
Alesia… about that little linky thing… I have NO idea how we got that there…
I am just a moderator there, Stephen is our tech guy. If you want you can either:
A) Join The Uncommon (we would SO love that!!!) and ask him yourself or
B) I will ask him and PM you (you are on the Rebelution forum, right?)
Your choice, just let me know!!! Have a great day!!!
January 21st, 2010 at 7:51 pm
Alesia, it definitely HAS to be The Cove in North Carolina. No way it couldn’t be.
January 21st, 2010 at 7:52 pm
this has been so fun today, and i think all of our brains got bigger too! =D
January 21st, 2010 at 7:52 pm
Unless Brett and Alex are planning on building their own Cove…. hmmmm…. *ponders this new idea* *rules this new idea out as highly improbably*
January 21st, 2010 at 7:53 pm
correction!!! I meant to say “improbable”.
January 21st, 2010 at 7:53 pm
WOW!!! So much has happened since I was here this morning!!
Great job everyone! Talk about team work!!
Alex and Brett: what a hunt! How long did it take to make it?
I loved that it had horses involved! Horses are my all time fav part of creation! Go equines!
And indeed, go homeschoolers!
-Sarah
January 21st, 2010 at 7:53 pm
LOL that would be too cool. lets all escape this crazy world and start Rebelution Island
January 21st, 2010 at 7:54 pm
i cant wait till Brett sees that we got it! He did such a great job on this
January 21st, 2010 at 7:55 pm
I guess I don’t spend enough time on the computer. You guys have me lost. Alex and Brett, this better be good or watch out!!!!!
January 21st, 2010 at 7:56 pm
What time is it where Brett is anyway? I have to get off at 10:00. I’m in Central time.
January 21st, 2010 at 7:57 pm
Wow, that was really complicated! I can’t believe I solved everything AND read through all 700+ comments! Way to go Brett in keeping us entertained all day! (Next time, do this during Christmas break or something so we don’t procrastinate in our school work, k? :D)
January 21st, 2010 at 7:57 pm
I am so excited to find out the in-depth details of Twenty29.org! Can’t wait!!
January 21st, 2010 at 7:58 pm
Claire: Amen. This certainly didn’t help with diligence in my schoolwork.
January 21st, 2010 at 7:59 pm
When do you guys think Brett will be on? I hope sooner then he was on last night:)
January 21st, 2010 at 8:00 pm
This is the eight-hundreth comment.
January 21st, 2010 at 8:00 pm
Before the screen refreshed.
January 21st, 2010 at 8:01 pm
One good thing about this scavenger hunt: it’s caused a Facebook semi-fast for me. And that is saying something.
January 21st, 2010 at 8:01 pm
Kay Morris: I wouldn’t mind joining actually, I’ll do that soon. =)
January 21st, 2010 at 8:02 pm
Wow! I’m the 800 comment! Good job solving the last clue everyone! I just go on and wasn’t about to read through all the comments but I got the main idea. It sounds exciting so far.
January 21st, 2010 at 8:04 pm
Opps. I guess I wasn’t the 800 comment but all the other comments before weren’t loaded yet.
January 21st, 2010 at 8:04 pm
AHHH!!! *Jumping up and down*
I just saw that Alex and Brett are going to be Canada twice this year! *Screams*
Unfortunately the closest one to us is Surrey…which is about 3 hrs away from here. =(
Hopefully we can afford to go…ferries are so expensive!
Brett/Alex: How much do your tickets cost each?
January 21st, 2010 at 8:05 pm
Actually Hannah, sorry, but you’re the 805th.
January 21st, 2010 at 8:09 pm
Now when will they come to Houston?
January 21st, 2010 at 8:10 pm
Sara Caitryn,
Biggest pros in my opinion are a flexible schedule and learn at your own pace. And you get to pick your curriculem, one you can understand better or that supports your beliefs (ie Christian). My biggest con is that when I don’t have a due date I have no motivation to do school. X) You don’t see friends every single day. And some subjects my mom can’t teach so I go to a tutorial 2 days a week. But I don’t consider that a con, I enjoy it a lot!
Good luck with your nonprofit!
Sarah
January 21st, 2010 at 8:10 pm
yeah, I know, the screen takes too long to load! When is Brett coming on?
January 21st, 2010 at 8:11 pm
thanks john!
January 21st, 2010 at 8:11 pm
I don’t know, but I hope its soon.
January 21st, 2010 at 8:14 pm
o and thanx sarah are the tutorials online or just at your local high school?
January 21st, 2010 at 8:15 pm
Welcome sars. What is the name of the non-profit?
January 21st, 2010 at 8:16 pm
Sorry. typo. *Sara*
January 21st, 2010 at 8:19 pm
I think that the pros of homeschooling would be this: not having to wait for other students to be finished, but setting your own pace; one-on-one instruction from mom; and the freedom to choose your own curriculum and off-days. I can’t think of any cons.
January 21st, 2010 at 8:20 pm
well its not up and running yet but its called chains for change. I hope to work with the pandora company to make a braclet that incorperates both the pandora company and my organization other non-profits can then submit a charm design for the pandora company to make when their charm is sold the charity will recive a set precent of the profit.
I have alredy e-maild the general manager of the north american pandora company but he is currently ou tof his office so he wont be able to get back to me until after the 25th.
January 21st, 2010 at 8:22 pm
that sounds neat. i assume that the pandora company is a jewlery company.
January 21st, 2010 at 8:23 pm
Hey Kay. Could you moderate my comment?
January 21st, 2010 at 8:23 pm
Okay, I have to get off., but wil be back tomarrow.

January 21st, 2010 at 8:27 pm
Sara: no, i haven’t but have friends that have. I have heard of what it is like and couldn’t imagine liking it. And no, i dont have a problem with socialization.
I love to talk!
January 21st, 2010 at 8:29 pm
The cove is in Ashville NC, right? I went to TED’s website, and there’s an event in Ashville August 29th 2010…look under United States…there it is: http://www.ted.com/pages/view?id=348
January 21st, 2010 at 8:31 pm
question: Why are certain names in red type? Are the part of the forum?
January 21st, 2010 at 8:31 pm
they*
January 21st, 2010 at 8:33 pm
Here is a summary of this page of clues and the information found:
Fact: Andre is a French name meaning “manly”
Fact: Erand was misspelled in the blog post.
Fact: Erand re-arranged spells Andre.
Fact: Typing ‘andre’ into therebelution.com/twenty29/______.jpg results in a valid page.
Fact: This page consists of a cipher.
Fact: Three words are in a light red box.
Fact: These words are Andre Animal Power.
Fact: Googling Andre Animal Power results in a website called animalpowerfielddays.org.
Fact: Typing ‘animalpowerfielddays’ into therebelution.com/twenty29/____________________.jpg results in a valid page.
Fact: This results in a word search.
Fact: After completing the word search, the remaining letters create a phrase.
Fact: This phrase is “Look to previous years for a gallery of wisdom”.
Fact: On andre’s website, animalpowerfielddays dot org , there is a link that says Previous Years.
Fact: Clicking on this results in option for 2007 or 2008.
Fact: Clicking 2008 Photo Gallery results in several pictures.
Fact: Andre is not in the first three pictures.
Fact: The fourth picture Andre is shown. Count 3 photos down from the first one of Andre, and the title is Andre Palmer Tedding
Fact: This is the seventh photo down.
Fact: Typing the first three letters, ted, into therebelution.com/twenty29/___.jpg results in a valid page.
Fact: This page says “Google is your friend, TED.”
Fact: Googling TED results in the website ted.com
Opinion: This was way fun!
Inference: Hosting a TED conference at the cove on Aug 29th 2010?
So I hope this summary helps anybody who just joined in the conversation, anybody who is confused, or anybody that doesn’t want to read over 800 comments.
January 21st, 2010 at 8:34 pm
this is cool. my comment is awaiting moderation…..does anybody know who allows the comments to go through or how long it takes?
January 21st, 2010 at 8:34 pm
Anissa: the red names indicate that they have posted their blog url
January 21st, 2010 at 8:35 pm
the red names link to the author’s blog. just click on the name and it will bring you (hopefully) to their website
January 21st, 2010 at 8:35 pm
Oh, thanks Julia!
January 21st, 2010 at 8:35 pm

January 21st, 2010 at 8:37 pm
hey guys! I am back (again)
Sara, that is super cool about your non-profit! I started one too; working with Compassion and The Water Project
whatcha guys been up to since i left?
January 21st, 2010 at 8:38 pm
hahaha me too!! I dont like public school either. There is way too much drama. I want to be homeschooled, but my dad work and my mom dosnt think she can teach me anything because she dosnt have a degree. Can you homeschool yourelf, just by using the text books?
January 21st, 2010 at 8:38 pm
Wow… since I got off after we finished the puzzle at about 1:30 PST there have been about 400 more comments!
January 21st, 2010 at 8:38 pm
hey guys! I am back (again)
what is this thing with the red now? did I miss something? =)
January 21st, 2010 at 8:39 pm
sara, I am a homeschooled sophmore and LOVE IT. You can def teach yourself or go to a coop (a school type thing for homeschooled kids usually once a week) where you take your main classes and then do all of the work at home. its pretty awesome! =D
January 21st, 2010 at 8:39 pm
I think they just were wondering why some people’s names were red
January 21st, 2010 at 8:40 pm
ok, does anybody know someone who can moderate these comments because it keeps moderating each comment I post on here!!!! its getting frustrating! =(
January 21st, 2010 at 8:40 pm
oh, thanks Nick! =)
January 21st, 2010 at 8:41 pm
it was doing that to me when we were trying to figure out the clue
January 21st, 2010 at 8:41 pm
I think it is so funny that people are now just talking about other stuff on here. It’s almost like we don’t want all this fellowship to end. Or we are all eagerly waiting to find out the details about this thing.
January 21st, 2010 at 8:42 pm
Rebeca: haha I think it is a mixture of both =)
January 21st, 2010 at 8:42 pm
I think it’s both Rebecca.
January 21st, 2010 at 8:43 pm
I don’t want it to end *wipes tears from eyes
January 21st, 2010 at 8:43 pm
ok, lets take a poll….who went to a Rebelution tour this past year?
comment “I” or the place it was at! I went to the D.C one in Sept.!
January 21st, 2010 at 8:44 pm
lol Nick…its ok! Brett shall be back soon *looks around*
January 21st, 2010 at 8:45 pm
Anissa: welcome!
January 21st, 2010 at 8:46 pm
I really wanted to go to one last year, but obviously it was the Lord’s will. Maybe this year…
January 21st, 2010 at 8:46 pm
Now where are you guys at now? I see you’ve made a lot of progress
January 21st, 2010 at 8:47 pm
wasn’t* haha
January 21st, 2010 at 8:47 pm
i went to the one in Chicago. Chi-town that’s my town!
January 21st, 2010 at 8:47 pm
lexi: i have no idea who is moderating!!! ahhhh!!! maybe they went on a coffee break? my long comment was so beautiful too!!
January 21st, 2010 at 8:48 pm
Hey Daniel! welcome back to Twenty29 Jeopardy! =D
Here are the facts:
Location: The Cove
Verse: Proverbs 20:29
3 letter word: ted
TED: http://www.ted.com
Twenty29: a TED event by Brett and Alex Harris…still waiting from Brett on more about it
January 21st, 2010 at 8:48 pm
@Sara regarding your mom teaching you…I’ve been homeschooled for…many…years now, and my mom doesn’t really teach me..at all.
There are enough resources out there for homeschoolers that parents really don’t have worry about that anymore….unless they want to!
January 21st, 2010 at 8:49 pm
LOL Michelle! mine was too!!! it was so long and perfect and *sobs* it didnt go!!!!!
January 21st, 2010 at 8:49 pm
Southern CA (can’t remember where)
January 21st, 2010 at 8:50 pm
is there a secret length limit i don’t know about that activates a automatic moderation?
January 21st, 2010 at 8:50 pm
Daniel, we found out the location, the event, and when it is…..my comments keep going into the moderated list for some reason, so all of the facts that I wrote neatly for you are not here anymore….=(
January 21st, 2010 at 8:51 pm
Michelle: no..once mine was super short and it just did it….so I have nooo clue!
January 21st, 2010 at 8:51 pm
Anissa!!! Oh my goodness!!! That is the name of my main character!!! I thought I made that name up!!! I guess not! It is a pleasure to meet you!!! Are you on the forums??? (please excuse my total craziness… that is the first time I have EVER seen that name other than by my own hand)….
Also, Alesia, WE WILL BE SO HAPPY TO HAVE YOU JOIN!!!!!!!!! We LOVE new members. All of you feel free to check it out!! Just click my name. It’s the third most awesome forum ever!!! (the first being Holy Worlds, the second being the Rebelution) (please all Uncommoners… forgive me)
John, I mod over at a different forum, called The Uncommon. To get there and check it out (started by and run by [for the most part] Rebelutionaries) just click my name….
January 21st, 2010 at 8:51 pm
Anaheim, CA in Southern California!! Yay! i was there and it was sooooooooo good.
Very fun!! i loved it!!
January 21st, 2010 at 8:53 pm
The Uncommon forum is amazing!
January 21st, 2010 at 8:53 pm
That’s where it was… Anaheim. I was there too!
January 21st, 2010 at 8:54 pm
I know…the Do Hard Things tours are amazing!!! It was so great and I got to meet Alex and Brett! way cool! =)
the getting saved part was unbelieveble! I got to bring a total stranger to Christ! God was just totally inside that place.
January 21st, 2010 at 8:54 pm
Brett, where are you? Did we (as in everyone else, besides me, who was sweating over this thing all afternoon and into the night) get the clue right? Or are you going to tack up another clue right before midnight?
January 21st, 2010 at 8:54 pm
Kay: Haha! No, I’m not on the forums. And I’ve never seen/heard of anyone with my name before except from the documentary my parents got my name from.
January 21st, 2010 at 8:54 pm
Yay Nick! another california person!! isn’t this rain storm a joke!?
January 21st, 2010 at 8:55 pm
Wow good job figuring it out! I finally finished reading all the comments. I’m wondering though how does all this fit in with older people teaching younger?
January 21st, 2010 at 8:55 pm
*yawns* Brett plllleeeasseee dont post late again! we are all sooo excited about this! =D
January 21st, 2010 at 8:56 pm
Thanks for thinking of me Lexi
January 21st, 2010 at 8:56 pm
how awful is that earthquake in Haiti guys? it makes you just want to hop on a plane over there to do something….
January 21st, 2010 at 8:57 pm
Lydia D: i think that is what everyone is wondering!! ;D there are some pretty interesting theories though. ;D
January 21st, 2010 at 8:57 pm
Daniel: your welcome! sorry it didn’t post!
January 21st, 2010 at 8:58 pm
I noticed! But I’m thinking that TED has nothing to do with it
January 21st, 2010 at 8:58 pm
Yes it is…. Are you in SoCa?
January 21st, 2010 at 8:58 pm
I was totally amazed at the conference in chicago about 20 people stood up and declarde their faith in Christ. It is an amazing feeling when I’m with teens my own age…that are following Christ and have the same mentality as me and other Christians.
January 21st, 2010 at 8:59 pm
Wow guys…I just joined in on the “treasure hunt” this evening and that had to be the most fun I’ve had in a long time!!!
January 21st, 2010 at 8:59 pm
Wow. *smacks forehead* I get an email from The Rebelution about Twenty29, but have no idea what it is, don’t go on the website for a while, and then I come on today, check my email, see the post with the clues in it, and get really excited (ooh, we get to solve puzzles?), only to read through 700+ comments and find out that all of you geniuses have figured it out before I even knew anything about it! *coughs loudly* LOL, boy do I feel slow. Guess that will teach me to come on WAY more often! xD
Great job, guys! Congrats to all the brilliant sleuths who decoded, unscrambled, searched, and searched some more to come up with the answer to a really difficult puzzle! And thanks to Brett and Alex for posting such a cool mystery! Although I didn’t really do anything, I got loads of entertainment (an hour at least) of reading people’s comments as they began to go insane with the agony of trying to figure everything out. Sounds like a great, awesome event! Can’t wait to say what Brett says!
@Sara-Caitrin: I’ve been homeschooled all my life, and in my state, generally the parent who’s going to do the majority of the teaching must have a degree for the “home school” to be officially considered a private school. But it might vary from state to state; I wouldn’t really know.
*wonders when Brett will come online, and also wonders if right now, his eyes are burning out of their sockets from staring at the computer screen for so long, and if he’s glancing to the sidebar only to realize with desperation that he’s not even halfway to the end* Lol
January 21st, 2010 at 8:59 pm
well, we think TED does have something to do with it because someone (i forget who) found Brett and Alex on their even calender for The Cover in August (not sure what year…)
January 21st, 2010 at 9:00 pm
Nooo problem lexi.
AS for the earthquake in Haiti we know missionaries there it was very destructive. There was another quake on Tuesday 6.5 magnitude.

January 21st, 2010 at 9:01 pm

January 21st, 2010 at 9:03 pm
@Lexi-you sure? I saw that link but didn’t follow it. Maybe I should……
@Daniel W.- I was at the D.C. conference and more people than I could count stood up!
January 21st, 2010 at 9:03 pm
We gotta’ pray for the people in Haiti guys. Haiti is the if one of the poorest countries in the world, and now, with this. It will be a slow and hard road ahead of the Haitian people.
January 21st, 2010 at 9:03 pm
Anissa: seriously??? oh my goodness thats horrible! man that is just so bad…..
Nick: REALLY!!! lol i know! it makes you want to jump up and dance!
January 21st, 2010 at 9:04 pm

January 21st, 2010 at 9:05 pm
oooookkk *googled eyed* You may think me crazy, but I just read through aaaallllll of these comments in one sitting. WOW! Not a smart decision after studying on the computer today…my eyes feel like they are going to just dry up! Any who, You guys are crazy! I would of never figured that out! Like EVER! So it sounds like there is still several ideas, of which we will just have to see which one it is? Correct? Well atleast the specifics…I may not have everything figured out yet from reading them all…Any way Brett please hurry up !!!!!!!
January 21st, 2010 at 9:05 pm
@Kate: Lol, I feel so happy that I’m not the only slow one! (And “slow” isn’t really a word to describe it - I mean, these people figured it out in one day! I guess, instead, we should consider them insanely fast or something. Haha)
January 21st, 2010 at 9:05 pm
Daniel: I agree whole heartedly! Guys lets stop and pray right now all together!
Lydia: I’m not sure where that comment is so I couldnt go back and check….
I WAS AT D.C TOO!!!!! WASN”T THAT AMAZING?!?!?!
January 21st, 2010 at 9:06 pm
@Kailyn - TRUE! I only wish I would’ve gotten an earlier start and been a part of all of this instead of reading all of it in one sitting!! my eyes are killing me! …so much for homework… haha
January 21st, 2010 at 9:07 pm
*does amazing dance…. Rebelutionaries can do anything when they collaborate is the lesson to learn!
January 21st, 2010 at 9:07 pm
Lexi: Did they see Alex and Brett or did the just see Ashville? Because I thought that date was right after a DHT conference. I could be totally wrong though. I haven’t really looked at it.
January 21st, 2010 at 9:07 pm
900th COMMENT!!!!
January 21st, 2010 at 9:07 pm
@Pete: Same here! Welcome to the club of people who will soon lose their eyesight, lol
@Lexi: Haha, I know… but we’re all too excited to do that! *pities Brett* Lol!
January 21st, 2010 at 9:07 pm
guys…lets do something hard!
Everybody take 3 minutes *yes I said it* and stop commenting to pray for the people of Haiti. I think Daniel had a great idea.
January 21st, 2010 at 9:09 pm
Um, guys I followed the link to the supposed conference thing on the TED website and it doesn’t say anything about the Rebelution. Unless I missed something somewhere.
January 21st, 2010 at 9:09 pm
@Kate: Totally! I’m not going to get a wink of sleep tonight! I’ll try and prepare myself for the annoying realization when I wake up at 7:00 (not even remembering ever having pressed the snooze button) that spending uncounted hours on the computer before bedtime is NOT recommended for one’s health. xD
January 21st, 2010 at 9:11 pm
@Lexi, that’s a great idea! I’m going to do that right now.
January 21st, 2010 at 9:11 pm
Lydia: hmm not sure…i guess we all are just going to have to wait for Brett again. *eyes start to burn*
January 21st, 2010 at 9:12 pm
dito!!!!!
January 21st, 2010 at 9:12 pm
@Lexi- Awesome idea, thanks! just imagine the prayers that were just lifted up to our heavenly father!!
January 21st, 2010 at 9:15 pm
January 21st, 2010 at 9:19 pm
Going to pray right now!
BTW- Lexi, Where were you sitting? (You can answer when you’re done praying ;))
January 21st, 2010 at 9:21 pm
I was sitting on the right balcony (if you are looking from the stage) near the bridge type thing that went down to the stage.
January 21st, 2010 at 9:22 pm
Lexi- I must say, yes, it is hard, but it is SO much fun!!! We should do some kind of game on here while we wait…..
Okay… Lexi, you start a story with one sentence. I will say a second sentence. Everyone can add sentences after that.
The rules are (if ya’ll want to play, that is):
1) You can only post one sentence at a time
2) You cannot post until two minutes after your last one
3) Make it FUN!!!
4) Be nice.
What do ya’ll say??? Want to play???
January 21st, 2010 at 9:23 pm
if you actually look at the promo video for their new book, my friend and i are the ones who high five Brett as he is walking by…im in the white shirt.
January 21st, 2010 at 9:23 pm
I sat on my bed and prayed for 3-4 minutes just now, and it uplifted me a lot. But I just feel so helpless and I HATE that feeling. What can a young person like me do to help people so far away? It would seem that to help them one would have to be a doctor or know things about medicine or have connections… I feel so nothing-ish, if you know what I mean.
I see those poor children on the news who’ve lost their parents so suddenly, and in an instant, they have to mature well beyond their years. I saw an 11-year-old girl who had heard from someone that her mother was dead, but didn’t know anything about what had happened to her father. What would I do if something like that happened to me?? I would have no clue how to react, but this girl was smiling politely at the camera and carrying on a normal conversation, whereas I would be distressed and crying, not in ANY condition to talk to ANYONE. How can someone cope with such a loss, at such a young age?
It strikes me how much responsibility these children and teens have in other parts of the world, and how they are expected to live up to it. I mean, what would I do if I were responsible for taking care of my younger siblings, finding shelter and food for them, and keeping them safe, all the while living on one meal a day? It’s incomprehensible!! I just pray that God would be with them, and if there’s any way that I personally could help, that he would show me it and let me be willing to do whatever I can. That’s some of us can do, really. The power of faithful prayer is so much more than we realize sometimes. I totally agree with you, Lexi.
January 21st, 2010 at 9:24 pm
Ahhh, prayer! Can you imagine the impact teens would have, not if they did hard things, not if they partnered with older people (although these are great!), but if they prayed fervantly for their world. Can you imagine the impact if these 900 comments became 900 prayers? Increadable…
January 21st, 2010 at 9:24 pm
Once there was a caterpillar named Theodore P. Yacht.
January 21st, 2010 at 9:25 pm
Everyone: Thanks to Michelle for this wonderful summary of the hunt. I will have something for you a little later tonight (hopefully before 10PM EST).
From Michelle: Here is a summary of this page of clues and the information found:
January 21st, 2010 at 9:25 pm
@Lexi- That’s cool. I was at DC too. Were you one of the volunteers?
January 21st, 2010 at 9:25 pm
Can you give us the link to the promo video?
January 21st, 2010 at 9:25 pm
I was just thinking that too Camden! wow that would be amazing…you know, teens really can change the world, its just that we make it so much harder than it really is. we put ourselves down.
January 21st, 2010 at 9:26 pm
BRETT!!!!!!! YAY YOU HAVE RETURNED!! wait…did you say, “another clue” *dies*

@Kailyn: Don’t feel bad for missing out on the scavenger hunt. I really didn’t figure out anything, especially on today’s portion. I just read through everyone’s comments and saw that they head figured it out. I remain convinced, however, that Brett is going to put another clue up.
January 21st, 2010 at 9:27 pm
Lexi, are interested in playing a little game while we wait?
January 21st, 2010 at 9:28 pm

January 21st, 2010 at 9:29 pm
Kay, i tried to do the sentence for your game, but it moderated my comment =( ill try again though!
January 21st, 2010 at 9:29 pm
The sentance game works in theory, but because of the commenting delays, we would probably get twenty stories drifting apart in the first couple sentances.
January 21st, 2010 at 9:29 pm
YAY! My comment got through the moderation at last!! BRETT!!! YOU ARE SO AWESOME!! ;D
January 21st, 2010 at 9:29 pm
OKAY IGNORE MY LAST COMMENT!! I forgot to refresh my screen, and so I missed that Brett had posted a comment.
January 21st, 2010 at 9:30 pm
Welll…. we just need to make sure we all refresh BEFORE posting a sentence…
January 21st, 2010 at 9:30 pm

January 21st, 2010 at 9:39 pm
@Brett- My mom is wondering when you had all this time on your hands to make this up. She says we need to be doing something hard. (aka- cleaning our rooms)
January 21st, 2010 at 9:39 pm
Awesome!!! Maybe we are the only ones…. that’s fine with me… except it’s earlier where they are all at….

Kailyn: I have a website for my organization…wont let me put the link up to it though…

January 21st, 2010 at 9:39 pm
@David- here
@Kay- I am in EST
January 21st, 2010 at 9:40 pm

LOL…
Lydia: I did that hard thing today thanks to a fellow Rebelutionary, Hannah Marie… we did it together!!! (no, we don’t know each other in person)
Well, Kate… my suggestion is that you bring your homework to the computer and refresh every once in a while… better than nothing….
or you could do a hard thing….
January 21st, 2010 at 9:41 pm
Kailyn: WOW you are brave…ive been starving here for the last 2 hours! haha

I’m pretty sure I just spent 2 hours reading all these comments and following what you guys have been working so hard on all day. All I can say is…wow. Y’all really should work for the FBI…or put National Treasure out of business!

I’m here!
January 21st, 2010 at 9:44 pm
LOL, Skate!!!
January 21st, 2010 at 9:44 pm
David: well, it took a while. I had to find organizations to get behind (the Water Project, Compassion). You got to call people like crazy to get the word out and then start fundraising. The first year is always the hardest, but getting people who want to help can be the toughest….
January 21st, 2010 at 9:44 pm
Lexi and Kailyn: You are so funny. I know where you are coming from. I have been rushing to do chores then running back to the computer.
January 21st, 2010 at 9:44 pm
@Skate- National Treasure: The Internet Version (lol)
January 21st, 2010 at 9:44 pm
@Lexi: Haha! Although I wouldn’t really consider it a snack… I just grabbed two Hershey Kisses, so I don’t think my health has improved much, lol
And about The Water Project: It sounds really cool! If there was any way for me to get involved, I’d love to!
January 21st, 2010 at 9:45 pm
John…. as a note… I am not a mod here… I am a moderator on The Uncommon. If you want to check that out, just click on my name.. it’s an awesome forum created by and run by (for the most part) Rebelutionaries…
January 21st, 2010 at 9:45 pm
Oh wow! I started from the very beginning and figured all of this out by myself! And then I realized as I got to the bottom of the comments that I had really missed most of the excitement as it was happening. Oh well, I had fun and I can’t wait to see what Brett will post next or what Twenty29 is all about!!
January 21st, 2010 at 9:45 pm
@Kay I’ve got my book here and I’m reading a chapter then refreshing : ) haha. 16 chapters to go… : /
January 21st, 2010 at 9:45 pm
David: well, it took a while. I had to find organizations to get behind . You got to get in touch with people like crazy to get the word out and then start fundraising. The first year is always the hardest, but getting people who want to help can be the toughest….
January 21st, 2010 at 9:45 pm

Three minutes left!!! Hehehehe…. And then Brett fails to show up, insisting that he dozed off, while his blog-posters have grown beards in his absence. Hahaha
January 21st, 2010 at 9:57 pm
Being in a book would be cool, but think of it this way– we’ve already broken the Rebelution’s record for the most comments on a single post (as far as I know!)!

January 21st, 2010 at 10:00 pm
well…according to the dictionary:
an ability or willingness to suppress restlessness or annoyance when confronted with delay:
according to God:
Patience in one of the fruits of the spirit…

January 21st, 2010 at 10:02 pm
Hello, Sarah-Caitrin!
To check up on the homeschooling laws in your area, I would suggest looking up the website of your state or province. You may also find info on the site of the Home School Legal Defense Association: http://www.hslda.org/Default.asp?bhcp=1
Actually, the HSLDA is a great place to start getting info and encouragement on homeschooling in general!
To add to the perks already shared by others….personally choose curriculum that upholds and defends the God’s Law, as Sarah P. said. Having just started some general studies at a secular college in my city, I cannot begin to express what a blessing it has been to have had an education rooted in the Word/the Christian Worldview. It has given me a firm educational foundation in the Truth and yet also a knowledge of the secular worldviews, so that I can recognize them in my college textbooks, am not deceived by misguided professors – and, I pray, defend the Truth faithfully.
As far as “seeing your friends” and extra-curricular activities go…I’m not sure where you live, but in my city there are several large homeschooling organizations and co-ops where parents can help each other and families have a chance to form friendships with people who are like-minded. Through the homeschooling groups in my area, my siblings, my friends, and I have had opportunities to form/get involved in sports teams, musical theatre groups, choirs, Robotics teams, and even a politically active, leadership-training organization called Teen Eagles. You can go online and search for homeschooling groups in your area - or maybe even start one yourself! You may be suprised by what you find.
The only con of homeschooling that comes to my mind - and my mother had to point it out to me - is that when you homeschool, you don’t really get snow days.
Now, to conclude, I am not saying that homeschooling is absolutely, always God’s plan for each and every family - I know Christian families do not homeschool or are not able to, and I do not consider myself holier because I homeschool and they do not.
However, I am joyfully testifying that my Savior has used it as an extraordinary tool in my life to draw me to Himself.
I may not always have loved my school work, but I have truly loved my education - all praise be to God!
May He bless you, sister!
Caitlin

First of all, we have to say that we are seriously impressed with your sleuthing abilities. We thought this last series of clues would keep you occupied for a few days at least — and it ended up being less than four hours. =P
Michelle’s summary of the hunt is absolutely correct. You guys followed the clues exactly and found everything we hid for you. Great job everyone! We just really hope it didn’t damage your grades too much. We know that we certainly spent way too much time checking back in on your progress. =)
Your prolific commenting has definitely set a blog record. We were hoping that this process would reinforce the importance of collaboration, but even we didn’t expect it to the level that you demonstrated. You all blew us away with your excitement and enthusiasm. Don’t forget this experience — and stay in touch with each other if you can.
We could drag this out and make you figure out exactly WHEN the event is taking place — but that would just be mean. The goal of this hunt was to generate some buzz (and hopefully teach you a few lessons along the way). We’re pretty sure that goal has already been met.
With that said, we are going to give you a special pre-release version of the promo booklet we’ve been passing around to key individuals. The contents are subject to change — but the general concepts are solid. This is the biggest, hardest, most life-changing project we have ever tackled. Our prayer is that it would be a turning point in each of your lives as well.
Welcome to the next chapter of The Rebelution:

And on that note, I, like Lexi, am hopefully going to quit now… =)
Camden
P.S. Two end notes of thanks:
1) Thanks Brett for putting up with this explosion of comments, it was truely a unique and caffeinated experience! =D
2) Thanks all the Rebelutionaries who posted with me to join me in this crazy experience!

that was hilarious!!! I just read it all the way through and it really should be a book (lol) that no one except the people who were on here would find funny! I would laugh so hard–hehe! You guys are great!
And all your group hugs…aren’t you sore yet?
JUST KIDDING! Definitely, collaboration, big time! And such positive comments, I hope the Lord was praised through it all. I totally missed most of it, but it was fun to follow some and read it through.
To you fellow homeschoolers (ditto to all that’s been said about it, it’s the best!) have fun catching up:)
DEUM DELECTARE!
January 21st, 2010 at 10:53 pm
Alesia! don’t give up hope. ;D
it says, “every rebelutionary has a shot to get in” that’s something right?
well, i hope you apply at least!!
and if not, it will be live streamed worldwide to everyone in their homes. OR you could go to a satellite event, which may even be equally amazing, depending on which state you are in/travel to!!?!
I think a satellite event is when a huge group of people watch the screen together, but i may be mistaken.
January 21st, 2010 at 10:53 pm
Hayden: lol…I think I should have made my last comment more specific - I was watching all evening; not all night.
I did take a break for sleeping and such…still, this has been quite an unusual day, and my eyes definately need a break.
January 21st, 2010 at 10:56 pm
I know I’m totally behind now, but I agree with Brett, we should all keep I’m touch!
January 21st, 2010 at 10:58 pm

January 21st, 2010 at 11:01 pm

January 21st, 2010 at 11:01 pm
Anissa–that’s what the forum’s for:)
January 21st, 2010 at 11:07 pm
EVERYONE here should apply for the forums if they aren’t already on… =D
January 21st, 2010 at 11:09 pm
Awesome!!!
I agree we should keep in touch. (I was on here last night and would’ve been today only I got to public school and then I was at ski club)
That book sounds epic. I love writing so let me know if someone follows through with that!
January 21st, 2010 at 11:10 pm
And I totally understand Brett’s pain of reading all the comments as I just read through every comment made on both posts from this time last night!
January 21st, 2010 at 11:13 pm
Lindsey H.- are you on the forums??? If so, I plan on following through… maybe we can co-author… =D
January 21st, 2010 at 11:17 pm
AHH!! Nick, why did you change your identity to Nicholas…..hahaha psyching me out.
i tried to post on your blog “encouragements to godliness” but i don’t have a google account….GREAT blog though!! ;D
January 21st, 2010 at 11:23 pm
Thanks!
January 21st, 2010 at 11:31 pm
Alesia, (if you are still on) I agree - don’t give up hope! I confess I feel the same way… Just remember this:
All things are possible with God!! If the Lord wants you - or any of us - at this conference, He will make a way. Be encouraged - His “power is made perfect in weakness”! (2 Corinthians 12). And I think our brothers and sisters will agree with me when I say that we all are weak; & in and of ourselves, none of us is more deserving than anyone else to go to the Cove. As followers of Christ, we know that all merit, all faith, all glory goes to Him who set us free. Now, there will still be 500 Rebelutionaries chosen…and the Lord knows who they will be…but that doesn’t mean He loves the rest of us less. He just has a different plan with different timing for different people - and it will be good, because He is good.
Also…if you and I aren’t chosen, we won’t have to miss the conference.
We can still see through the wonders of modern technology, and join our dear friends there in spirit and in prayer! We could set up Rebelutionanry watch parties all around the world!
Whoever is chosen…perhaps we should all be praying for them - starting now. The repercussions of this conference have the potential to be HUGE…can you imagine the possibilities of how the Lord may use it, and what an impact it may have? Lord, whatever it is, whomever it is, Soli Deo Gloria!
January 21st, 2010 at 11:33 pm
Buenas noches, amigos! My computer is going to be turned off for a long time (well, till sometime tomorrow) just so I can recover my brain after this scavenger hunt. Bye!
January 21st, 2010 at 11:34 pm
everyone, sorry for the lengthy comments. I suppose my lack of commenting the last 24 hours is all spilling out at once.
January 21st, 2010 at 11:40 pm
Caitlin: Very true. =) Thank’s. And I shall be praying for the 500 blessed winners ^_^
January 21st, 2010 at 11:42 pm
Irina- SAME HERE!!! Au Revoir!!!!
January 22nd, 2010 at 12:30 am
Just a *side note. I saw talk about who is on the Forum? I’m on there, can’t spend a lot of time due to my High School right now, but I’m on every once and awhile. Same name as here.
P.S. Incase any one is wondering why I’m on at 12:30 a.m. I’m waiting for my parents to get home. They had a church meeting (My dad’s the pastor). Sent the little kids to bed and am now waiting on them to get home! Don’t ask why I told you all that, I guess plain boredom! How much longer till you get home??
January 22nd, 2010 at 1:07 am
Kay: Nice to meet you too!
And nice to talk with everyone else! I have to leave now! Be back in a few hours, maybe
January 22nd, 2010 at 1:08 am
if anyone reads this, that last message was supposed to sent a looong time ago.
January 22nd, 2010 at 1:28 am
WOW!!! I go to bed in Germany, wake up, and find THIS! Incredible! Thank you, Brett and Alex, this is so much bigger than I thought it would be (although you did tease us dreadfully). And I’m so excited about this whole conference thing… I hope I’ll be back in America by then. It took me a long time to comb through the comments, so maybe I missed it… but when are the lucky 500 to be selected? And what do we have to do to get picked?
January 22nd, 2010 at 1:53 am
Alex and Brett,
I just wanted to say WOW! Thanks for the project preview!
I just downloaded & reviewed it, and I would absolutely love to get involved! Just the possibility of attending such an event is so exciting I’m going to have a hard time falling asleep tonight! I really believe this event will be life-changing for many people, as well as impact the world for Christ in a mighty way, as a result of the communication of amazing ideas and the networking/connections that will be made there.
I will be keeping you guys and the project in prayer, and I would love to involved in any way I can.
Many Blessings,
Amy A.
January 22nd, 2010 at 6:09 am

Sara Beth:
From Michelle: Here is a summary of this page of clues and the information found:
And go up a little bit, Brett posted a comment at about 10 last night. We finished the hunt!!!

January 22nd, 2010 at 9:43 am
Good Morning. I took me forever to read all those comments posted since I posted last night. This hunt was awesome! Thanks Brett and Alex!!

OMG! The conference looks really good and exciting! I’m sorry i missed all the excitement last night. It sounded like a lot of fun. I regretted getting off last night but I had too many things to do (even when home-schooled). I just finished reading through all the comments and they were really funny. Thanks Brett for doing this. It was a lot of fun even though I wasn’t on for most of the time.
January 22nd, 2010 at 10:26 am
[...] solve the mystery yourself (and read through 1700 comments), then please stop reading and go to the twenty29 post. If you would rather get a summary in just a few paragraphs, then read [...]
January 22nd, 2010 at 10:34 am
WOW reading the paragraph was a lot easier! glad you all are trying to make us think for ourselves and starting this conference! it founds great!

Umm….Hi guys!I NEED SOME ADVICE. I got a call the other day asking me to go to court and work with some advocates on child abuse then go to the congress at our capital and do a speach over it,and this is for a person like me who has no experience with speaches . ( I am 15) and have gone through abuse my hole life. It makes it harder for me, but it also meen more.
Whats relly cool is an hour before i got the call. I got the book “Do Hard Things”. I started reading right after the call and cryed for about 4 nights. I know that Gods calling me to do this. And i thought the best place to get advice is here. I am nervous and would appreciate to hear anything you have to say about this.!
January 22nd, 2010 at 2:55 pm
I want to say if it were up to me all you that solved this puzzle should be in the 500. Of course it not up to me. Sorry!
I have been to the cove it is a great place. To Brett and Alex, I might of been misinformed but you might want to talk to the staff at the cove. I looked into it for a youth retreat in the past and was told that certain ages are not permitted to stay on the premise. Like I said I hope I was misinformed.
Twenty29 sounds great. I am marking it on the calender and we will be in contact about watching the broadcast over Internet.
January 22nd, 2010 at 3:04 pm
Holly: wow thats great! my prayers are with you as you make these decisions. Give everything over to God, even the things you are fighting with most and say…I don’t want to fight this battle, I want You to.
Thats so amazing you read the book right after the call. God is so good. =)
January 22nd, 2010 at 3:05 pm
Wow. I really wish I had been here yesterday afternoon to help!!
This is sooo exciting.
January 22nd, 2010 at 3:06 pm

Holly ~
It sounds like this is a pretty big opportunity that could impact the lives of many people who have been hurting as you have. It also sounds like this triggers some very painful memories for you. My heart hurts for you.
You said that you know the Lord is calling you to do this. Let me encourage you that when our Father calls us to do hard things, He doesn’t ask us to do them alone. Jesus promised to never leave us…He will never leave your side the whole time! He loves you more than life itself and wants to banish your fears and anxieties. If only I had words to tell you how passionately He loves you!
On a more practical side ~ nervousness can be a helpful tool, actually! It keeps you alert and focused. But please do not be anxious! Remember that your listeners are people like you - people who are deeply concerned about this issue and who want to change it. They will care about what you have to say, and will be impressed by your passion and willingness to speak on a topic that is painful to you. I just took a public speaking class at college, and was told repeatedly that the number one key to being a good public speaker is a strong desire to communicate your main point with your audience. Don’t worry ~ you will be fine.
I will be praying for you!
Your sister,
Caitlin

Amen Julia!
January 22nd, 2010 at 9:50 pm
Wow, that was absolutely, ridiculously incredible.
I just read through ALL the posts and did the search as if I was figuring it out along with everyone who figured it out yesterday! I am seriously beginning to wonder if The Rebelution could turn into some sort of youth spy agency.
Anyways, a conference sounds so cool! And kudos to Brett and Alex for thinking this up. I mean, goodness, how long did it take to create this whole thing?
January 22nd, 2010 at 10:22 pm
The upcoming twenty29 conference sounds incredible. Even if I’m not a direct part of the actual conference, I can’t wait to be a part of the excitement and impact it has!
Grace and Peace
January 22nd, 2010 at 11:23 pm
Yes! Thank You Brett and Alex!
January 23rd, 2010 at 12:00 am
The twenty29 conference is an amazing idea, I especially love that young people will share their ideas and testimonies as well!
Maybe this will be the opportunity our generation needs to form strong bridges between young and old, the wise and strong. I think the neatest thing about this whole idea is that so many young people will walk away with personal friendships with older, wiser, proven warriors for Christ. And by the younger generation “coming out” so to speak, and sharing their ideas, the older generation will be able to see where their wisdom and particular giftings would be most useful - matching up people with similar callings!
I’m definitely going to be watching all this closely!
January 23rd, 2010 at 12:17 am
Thank you Kay! I think i’ve got it now. =D
January 23rd, 2010 at 7:32 am
Kailyn: thanks for commenting on Jumps 4 Joy! Wasn’t sure how to answer your question so I am answering it here….
you can help our by spreading the word or donating or just holding a small fundraiser with your youth group or something like that. It doesnt have to be big at all. =)
January 23rd, 2010 at 10:48 am
No, problem, Esther!!! Isn’t it awesome?
January 23rd, 2010 at 11:44 am
Lexi: Okay, thanks! I appreciate it! I hope that I’ll be able to help you with this in the future; I’ll let you know if I start a fundraiser or something, and we can discuss it together!
God bless you! =)

Can’t wait to read what Brett says when he gets on and sees all the 1000 comments and tells us if we’re right!!
Oh, and I can’t forget to say that I think that Twenty29 is a GREAT idea! This is a fun, clever way to introduce it to us, Alex and Brett!
January 23rd, 2010 at 1:50 pm

Hey, my mom had an idea…
She said that since it is “20 29″ it might be a Bible reference. I looked up every 20 29 and I don’t think I found it….so, y’all can look too.
If someone already said this/proved it wrong/something else, sorry, I am just now getting in to the conversation.
lol.

Oh and if Brett/Alex get this, please know that it is my REAL e-mail that I have here - I was using a blank one, only b/c I was worried about security issues. It’s not that I don’t trust y’all. but I am very very cautious about what kind of info i give out!

And don’t worry about putting your email address in the box — it won’t be shown to anyone but the staff on this web site, and it’s used to contact you if necessary, I believe. But nobody else is going to see it! =D

Abby:
If I didn’t answer your question, post again!
Good morning! The sleuthing has been figured out (thanks to the wonderful “FBI agents” above), and above you can see the pdf file with an overview of what Alex and Brett are planning on doing. As far as what we Rebelutionaries can do, unless Alex and Brett tell us something specific, there isn’t much we can do but pray and encourage them.
January 24th, 2010 at 4:25 pm
Oh boy. WHAT IN THE WORLD IS GOING ON???? Coming in just a few days late sure put me behind…… Do I need to start checking up on the Rebelution every few HOURS???? It has probably been said already what is going on if it’s been figured out, but I can’t spend hours on here reading everyones comments so what is happening? I am so confused….
Hmmm…… I did read someone say “do not click on my name”, and later that that was trying to get people to click there, so funny because I almost clicked on it just to see why I shouldn’t… hahaha… would that work for me? or should I just say bluntly,
HEY EVERYONE, CLICK ON MY NAME!!!

That should just about cover it
January 24th, 2010 at 4:54 pm
Holy smoke, my head. 1000 comments is WAY too many to read. I have to say, though, it was quite fun. Thanks to all the sleuthing people who did a lot of the work so that I could try to follow along as I did it a whopping day or two later. (You people spend FAR too much time comemnting… although, I probably would have done the exact same thing if I’d seen this when it came up.)
Brett: you and/or Alex have far too much free time for college students. Just how long did it take you to set this thing up? Thanks, though, it was a blast. I assume we’ll get more info on Twnety29 as it approaches?
January 24th, 2010 at 4:54 pm
Alli R.- I have to say that after this, I have made it my practice to check at least every day.
Don’t worry about reading all of the comments. The whole thing was that we Rebelutionaries had to hunt down clues to find out what Twenty29 is. We succeeded in finding this: http://www.therebelution.com/twenty29/twenty29.pdf
It is the link that will show you what Twenty29 is. Also, that was me saying not to click on my name. In truth, you really should. It will take you to an awesome site that was founded by and is run by fellow Rebelutionaries. It is a webzine and a forum and I must say (not as a writer or mod, but as a Christian and Reb) that it is really cool. I would advise you to check it out. We’d love to have you.
I echo your call:
HEY EVERYONE, CLICK ON MY NAME!!!
~Kay
January 24th, 2010 at 6:18 pm
Wow.
So I get this email talking about a fun treasure hunt thing, and then I go to a friend’s house for 3 days (their computer doesn’t recognize the Rebelution as “safe”, what’s up with that?); I come back and it’s already over???? There are some serious sleuth people here. Great job everyone!!
The twenty29 thing looks really awesome. I can’t wait to see more unfold!
January 24th, 2010 at 8:05 pm
I am soooo excited about twenty29! I am telling everyone I know about it!
January 25th, 2010 at 5:20 am

February 10th, 2010 at 1:52 pm
Hi Guys. I just spent all morning reading the comments from this post, and the last one. I read about the first 500 from this one, and then did a search on it for “Brett Harris”.
When you were trying to figure out “ted” from “tedding”, I knew it like 10 minutes before someone said that was it. Idk how I did that. Thanks, Brett for the hunt. I really enjoyed it.
It definitely kept my mind off throwing up (I have the stomach virus)! So, how do we get in on going there? Thanks!
February 12th, 2010 at 3:06 pm
