What is Twenty29?

What is Twenty29?

If you have no idea what all of this is about, check out our previous post (or just comment here asking to be filled in) — then join our treasure hunt to discover the what, when, and where of Twenty29.

Detectives, here is your next clue. This clue will lead to another clue, which will lead to another clue, etc. You are ultimately searching for a three-letter word — which are the first three letters of the answer to the very last clue.

When you have solved one step of the hunt, you will play around with the following link to uncover the next clue:

http://www.therebelution.com/twenty29/________.jpg

If your search leads you to a name (e.g. Ben) then insert the word “ben” into the blank space (i.e. ben.jpg). If your search leads you to a website (e.g. www.bmw.com) then insert “bmw” into the blank space (i.e bmw.jpg).

Your next erand is to find a person. He has a “manly” name. Once you discover his name you will try to meet him (i.e. find a picture of him). Once you meet him you will count down 1, 2, 3 — and then use horse sense and black-and-white thinking to discover what he is doing. That will be your last and final clue (and provide the three-letter word you are looking for).

What is this twentynine.org thing? I really want to be in on it but I am not sure how :( could you maybe help me out?

  2. Sara Says:

Okay, this clue officially has me confused!

  3. John Says:

    This is confusing

  4. Brett Harris Says:

Parts of this clue won’t make sense until further in. Focus on the first part. You are looking for a name. =)

  5. Rea Says:

Ooohh - you gave us a hard one!

  6. Brett Harris Says:

There are two clues to what the name is in the post itself.

Also, don’t worry if you are stumped for awhile. I’m making the clues much harder because you guys solve them way too fast otherwise. ;)

  7. John Says:

    haha :)

  8. Irina H. F. Says:

Okay, here oges. Starting on the next clue now. ;)

  9. Brett Harris Says:

I have to head to class, everyone. I look forward to seeing what you’ve figure out by the time I get back tonight. =)

  10. Joanna Says:

Have a good class…meanwhile, the rest of us will be in suspense until we figure this out!

  11. Brett Harris Says:

Rachel Brown: Twenty29 is a new project of The Rebelution. Everyone is trying to figure out what it is, when it is, and where it is. The other posters can share what they’ve discovered so far.

  12. John Says:

He said that there are two clues in the post itself. I’ve already tried ben, cove, and billygraham.

  13. Sara Says:

    ben plus manly: benjamin?

  14. Joanna Says:

Rachel: To add to what Brett said, we’ve found out that it’s Proverbs 20:29 (thus the name) and we think it’s at the Billy Graham Cove (that was the clue of the picture). That’s all so far.

  15. John Says:

    I tried that too.

  16. Autumn H. Says:

how do we know if we have the right answer?

  17. Joanna Says:

Hmm, perhaps we’re trying the link thing too soon - it says once we’ve solved one step, we should do that…

  18. John Says:

A clue will come up in your browser. All the previous clues have been pics. I don’t know about these clues though.

  19. John Says:

Joanna: You’re right. But what is the other step?

  20. Kay Morris Says:

    Sara… I have tried Benjamin, Benjamen, Benjaman… everything….

  21. John Says:

    I’m stuck… :<

  22. Sara Says:

he said “P.P.S. - Sorry for the typo.” What’s the typo?

  23. Michelle =D Says:

he said, “which are the first three letters” which is referring to the noun “word”. this is a typo? it seems it should say “which is” not which are. the letter R perhaps? *hint hint*

  24. Kay Morris Says:

Joanna… you are right… but then Brett just said we need to focus on finding a name… I think it is Benjamen… he said that the typo might be useful, but maybe he meant a typo in the name itself….

  25. Rebeca Says:

This is driving me CRAZY!!!! You’re killing me. Can’t wait to find this out.

  26. Chelsea McBay Says:

OK, Brett said that it is the first three letters of the last clue. The last clue was Billy Graham Cove- right? I had classes all morning, so I might have missed a clue.

If that was the last clue, and that is the correct answer, I would try either “bil” “gra” or “cov”… I have to go to class or I would do it. =)

  27. Nick Kjeld... Says:

we need to figure out what the first step is…. any suggestions? BTW did any of you find the typo?

  28. Nick Kjeld... Says:

wow a ton of comments while I was typing mine… the typo is the word “erand”

  29. Joanna Says:

I thought the typo was “erand” since it should have two Rs.

  30. John Says:

He made a typo when he typed the word *errand* He spelled it *erand*

  31. Sara Says:

He spelled errand wrong, I think. It has two ‘r’s right?

  32. Hannah Y. Says:

    I think I know the “manly” name…

  33. Kay Morris Says:

Although… did you guys know that Billy Graham’s full name is William Franklin Graham? I tried Benjamin Franklin and Benjamen Franklin, however….

  34. Rebeca Says:

Are we looking for a name to put in the link?

  35. Joanna Says:

Hannah: What do you think it is?

  36. Nick Kjeld... Says:

what is it hannah? a hint please! :-D

  37. Hannah Y. Says:

Rebeca: it’s not necessarily a name - it’s some three-letter word or abbreviation.

  38. Sara Says:

    No fair withholding information!!

  39. Autumn H. Says:

is the “manly” name suppose to be three letters?

  40. Chelsea McBay Says:

And about the “manly” name- Brett could mean a name that is strong or bold.

I really need to get to class though… Good luck everyone! Hope we can figure it out, the suspense is bothering me! =)

  41. Hannah Y. Says:

Well I’m not sure it’s correct, but I’m thinking it’s Aaron. Erand…Erin…but it’s manly, so it would be Aaron… ??

  42. John Says:

Brett said that right now, we are looking for a name

  43. Nick Kjeld... Says:

what was billy graham’s real name?

  44. C.R. Says:

manly name, three letters - “Guy?”

  45. Anna Joy Says:

Ummm this could be a red herring, but there’s a town named “Erand” in South Africa (google it) :)

  46. Nick Kjeld... Says:

Not picking anything up on google when I search all the key words… There was a picture but it was of this random guy with no name…

  47. Kay Morris Says:

    William Franklin Graham

  48. Hannah Y. Says:

I saw that too, Anna Joy. It’s a district in Johannesburg.

  49. Nick Kjeld... Says:

    good idea C.R.

  50. Kay Morris Says:

    Yeah, Nick… same here….

  51. Autumn H. Says:

ya anna i saw that too. idk if it helps but Erand is a suburb of Johannesburg, South Africa.

  52. Robin Says:

Oh oh oh oh! The name! It’s the typo unscrambled - erand = andre

  53. Nick Kjeld... Says:

So I think the first step is the search with google… I just don’t know what to search for…

  54. Autumn H. Says:

    good job robin!

  55. Kay Morris Says:

Anna Joy… the background in the last clue was QUITE red….

  56. Joanna Says:

OOh! Use the link with andre!

  57. Meg Says:

    I KNOW THE NAME!

  58. Kay Morris Says:

    WAY TO GO!!!!!!

  59. Nick Kjeld... Says:

    wow! good job Robin!

  60. C.R. Says:

    you got it!

  61. Sara Says:

Way to go, Robin!! The link worked!!

  62. Hannah Y. Says:

aahhh, Joanna!!! I think you got it!!!

  63. Anna Joy Says:

    w00t! :D

  64. Meg Says:

Oh sorry Robin, I did not see your comment before I posted :).

  65. Autumn H. Says:

can anyone explain what we r supposed to do in this new page?

  66. Anna Joy Says:

    Great job, Robin!

  67. Nick Kjeld... Says:

we might have skipped a step….

  68. Irina H. F. Says:

okay, just entered andre on the link thingy. now, to crack the code.

  69. Joanna Says:

I think we figure out the code. And thanks to Robin - I didn’t andre out - Robin did. I only typed it in.

  70. C.R. Says:

Now, to figure out the puzzle……any ideas off the cuff?

  71. Anna Joy Says:

For those of you coming in late on this discussion….here’s the link with the clue! :D http://www.therebelution.com/twenty29/andre.jpg

  72. Anna Joy Says:

Yikes…how do we go about figuring out the code? o.O

  73. Nick Kjeld... Says:

    it could be a substitution cypher…. D=17 so E=18, etc…

  74. Hannah Y. Says:

each letter of the alphabet has a number. Letter D is number 17 - that’s already filled in. Now to find which number goes with which letter…

  75. Nick Kjeld... Says:

there are no #’s higher than 21 so it could work…

  76. Sara Says:

Or like a cryptoquip where every number has a letter with it but they are not necessarily in order.

  77. John Says:

I think you fill the spaces in below the alphabet with consecutive numbers then correspond the letters with the numbers

  78. Kay Morris Says:

    Andre is the first word…

  79. C.R. Says:

No doubt, Nick, it’s some sort of pattern I’m sure.

  80. Rebecca Turner Says:

And Andre means man or warrior, so that fits the “manly name” clue, too : )

  81. John Says:

I think that we need to figure out the words highlighted in red first. then put the rest of it in

  82. Rebecca Turner Says:

the numbers can’t go consecutively with the letters if the first word is Andre, since then E is 1 and R is 4…we need to look at the rest of the clues Brett gave us to start with and figure those out…

  83. Rebecca Turner Says:

our ultimate goal is a three-letter word…so this is just one step

  84. Marli R. Says:

If anyone cracks it don’t let everyone know! I don’ know about all of you, but I for one want to try and figure it out =) Of course, hints are nice, just don’t spill it all please!

  85. Nick Kjeld... Says:

Why does he talk about horse sense and black and white thinking?

  86. Kay Morris Says:

It doesn’t have to be connsecutive…. and we are trying to find a picture of him…

  87. Nick Kjeld... Says:

I think we should try and find out who andre is

  88. John Says:

    You’re right. My bad. :)

  89. Kay Morris Says:

Actually… we are trying to meet him….

  90. John Says:

what does it mean about counting one two three?

  91. Nick Kjeld... Says:

    Go meet andre!

  92. Sara Says:

    I’ve got part of it!

  93. Autumn H. Says:

what could andre’s last name could be?

  94. Hannah Y. Says:

Andre Kim is a famous chef…

  95. Sara Says:

There’s an Andre the Giant. He’s in Princess Bride.

  96. Hannah Y. Says:

just thinking out loud here. =)

  97. Kay Morris Says:

Well, Sarah… could you at least give us a hint….

  98. Nick Kjeld... Says:

well they could be using movies…. They used some Star Wars stuff last time

  99. Autumn H. Says:

yes PLEASE sara give us a little hint lol

  100. Sara Says:

I think that the second word in red is “animal”. :)

  101. Rebecca Turner Says:

Yeah, I thought of Andre the Giant, but I don’t know where we’re supposed to find a picture…nothing came up searching the blog for Andre…

  102. Gabe Says:

Are the numbers 7-2-1 the word ‘the’?

  103. Hannah Y. Says:

    I think so too, Sara.

  104. Michelle =D Says:

Wow! great job everyone! finally caught up!! :)
this is so much fun !!!! ;)

  105. Joanna Says:

After we’ve done the code, what next?

  106. Kathy Says:

Is the two letter word “it” like I think it is?

  107. Spencer Says:

If the first word is Andre then that means A=13, N=9, D=17, R=4 and E=1

  108. Sara Says:

I’m stuck on the word 3-15-1. Anybody have it?

  109. Shawn Edwards Says:

This is confusing, if only I had more time to work on it. But I have to go work on school. :(

  110. Nick Kjeld... Says:

I was thinking more 3-15-1 were “the” gabe

  111. Kay Morris Says:

THANK YOU… the second word might be “will”

  112. Hannah Y. Says:

    google “Andre Dignelli” :)

  113. Sara Says:

Kathy: I had “to” but, of course, I could very possibly be wrong.

  114. Spencer Says:

well 1 might be E Sara

  115. C.R. Says:

Well, that corresponds with the horse sense remark…..

  116. Nick Kjeld... Says:

Is there a 3 letter word that ends in “H”? if not than I was wrong about 3-15-1 being “the”

  117. Nick Kjeld... Says:

    What would C.R.?

  118. C.R. Says:

“Andre Dignelli” - but it must be coincidence?

  119. Kay Morris Says:

Hannah… that is pretty good sleuthing…

  120. Autumn H. Says:

nick: andre dignelli: rides horses or something like that i think

  121. Sara Says:

I have all of it but one letter. Grrrr.

  122. Kathy Says:

    Sara: Thanks!

  123. Autumn H. Says:

the third red box might be answer (idk just a guess)

  124. Hannah Y. Says:

ahhh, I got most of it!!! just need the last word!!!!!!!!

  125. Autumn H. Says:

nvm i spelled it wrong lol

  126. Sara Says:

Pretty sure that Andre Dignelli must be our guy.

  127. Hannah Y. Says:

    I GOT IT!!!!

  128. John Says:

This is confusing. If only you could write in it.

  129. Nick Kjeld... Says:

    Hm…. interesting… I’m so lost though

  130. Kay Morris Says:

    Sara…. some clues, please???

  131. John Says:

    What is it!

  132. Ruthanna Says:

I think Brett is really just trying to see if Rebelutionaries are smart enough to make their own team at the FBI.

Why can’t he just say, “Here’s the treasure spend wisely?”

  133. Nick Kjeld... Says:

where does his last name go? GOOD JOB HANNAH!!! Hint? :-D

  134. Kay Morris Says:

Hannah, can you give us some clues???

  135. Nick Kjeld... Says:

Lol Ruthanna… Guess I fail the team :-D Hannah’s on it though

  136. Michelle =D Says:

ummm….so the second red word is definitely animal?

  137. Sara Says:

I figured out the phrase, but I have no idea what it means!!

  138. Hannah Y. Says:

What kind of hint do you want? I don’t want to blurt it out in case there are some people who really want to work on it. :)

  139. John Says:

    What’s the phrase?!?

  140. Nick Kjeld... Says:

a few more letters…. or a hint to the right google search

  141. Irina H. F. Says:

    I’m lost people. help?

  142. John Says:

    What is the phrase?!?

  143. Sara Says:

Kay: 3-15-1 is “use”. 16-10-3 is “you”. According to how I worked it.

  144. Kay Morris Says:

Umm…. can you give us the letters for the numbers 10 and 20?

  145. Autumn H. Says:

make the letters in the answer white. then if someone wants to figure it out they can’t see the answer.

  146. Anna Joy Says:

What’s the third word in red? That kind of hint…^.^

  147. John Says:

Whoops. Didn’t mean to say that twice

  148. Hannah Y. Says:

    Yes, Sara’s right.

  149. Michelle =D Says:

how do you make letters white?

  150. BethAnn Says:

This may seem off the wall…. but LOOK, what is the *name* that we have all been crazy about? remember that possibly we are trying to finish just the red highlighted ones. And the *name* may not have to be in order…look how it fits? Anybody see what I’m saying? Or is that just crazy?

  151. Anna Joy Says:

Ahhhhh I think I got it!!!

  152. Nick Kjeld... Says:

The red ones make up the 3 letters!!!!! Just figured that out…. Trying to figure out the words though

  153. Meg Says:

    We’re on it!

  154. Sara Says:

    10 and 20 are O and I respectively.

  155. Nick Kjeld... Says:

is the 2nd red word animal?

  156. Kay Morris Says:

Can you tell me what letter the number 2 is?

  157. Nick Kjeld... Says:

glad I had figured 1 letter out by myself :-D

  158. Meg Says:

    Yes, Nick!

  159. Meg Says:

And the third is “power”, I think.

  160. Hannah Y. Says:

    yes, Nick.

  161. Autumn H. Says:

i got everything but the last letter? does anyone know what 5 is?

  162. C.R. Says:

Three words in red - “Andre” “animal” “rider”?

  163. Kay Morris Says:

I have 10 and 20… I just need 2… then I will be able to figure it out…

  164. Hannah Y. Says:

    Kay, number 2 is H.

  165. Sara Says:

Hannah: what did you get for 5? I’m not sure I have it right.

  166. Nick Kjeld... Says:

I just figured out what letter 2 is!!!! I looked up all the 3 letter words in the dictionary :-D

  167. Hannah Y. Says:

    number 5 is P, I’m pretty sure.

  168. Joanna Says:

Anybody have any idea what to do after the code is finished?

  169. Sara Says:

Thanks, Hannah, that’s what I had, too.

  170. Gabe Says:

    Is 15 “s”

  171. Anna Joy Says:

Yes, I got 5 for P as well…anyone know for sure what 16 is?

  172. Autumn H. Says:

i am not sure if it is right, but i said 16 was Y

  173. John Says:

do the letters ARA stand for the American Riding Association?

  174. Anissa Says:

I can’t figure out the last letter? And @ Kay, I don’t think “rider” is the right word?

  175. Rea Says:

I have “Andre” and “animal” but I’m not sure I have the third word

  176. Robin Says:

I worked it out that 16 is “y”

Did we figure out who andre is?

  177. Sara Says:

    I had Y for 16, too.

  178. John Says:

For some reason my comment is awaiting moderation.

  179. Anissa Says:

I thought it was “y” too

  180. Anna Joy Says:

    *headdesk* I’m so blonde…That’s right..I already had 16 haha. Sorry guys! :P

  181. Kathy Says:

    I think s is 7

  182. Nick Kjeld... Says:

    Unfortunately “W” isn’t 2

  183. Hannah Y. Says:

16 is Y, 15 is S. The third word was tough. It’s commonly used after the word “girl” (with a peace sign lol)

  184. Irina H. F. Says:

    “andre” “animal” “power”

  185. Sara Says:

I’m going to guess from what Brett said that the picture we are looking for is black and white?

  186. Lindsay Says:

    Whats 21 guys?

  187. Anna Joy Says:

Soooo any ideas on what the next step is from here?

  188. Michelle =D Says:

john, do you have the entire phrase too?

  189. Nick Kjeld... Says:

I had a different letter down for 7… What did the rest of you get?

  190. BethAnn Says:

Agh. I’m stumped! I can’t figured out any order to matching the letters and numbers…

  191. Rea Says:

so I was right!! yes!!! now if I can only figure out the next part

  192. Autumn H. Says:

so anyone know what we r supposed to do now?

  193. Irina H. F. Says:

    Phrase, please?

  194. Nick Kjeld... Says:

GUYS MY PHRASE MAKES NO SENSE!!! Is the last word “hay”?

  195. Michelle =D Says:

    GIRL POWER!!! YAY!!

  196. Hannah Y. Says:

Anna Joy, I’ve been working on the next clue but it’s really hard…

  197. Lindsay Says:

    Hannah whats 21? and 7

  198. Anissa Says:

    21 is “w”

  199. Sara Says:

I had “hay” for the last word.

  200. Alex Says:

    Update, please?

  201. Gabe Says:

    I dont think “s” is 7

  202. Rebecca Turner Says:

@ Nick: yes, the last word is hay

  203. Sara Says:

Hannah: How did you find the next clue?

  204. C.R. Says:

Andre Animal Power makes sense, since that’s the name of his show.

  205. John Says:

    What’s the next clue?

  206. Nick Kjeld... Says:

What’s #4? and please tell me Y is 16? and the word makes no sense

  207. Hannah Y. Says:

    ***SPOILER ALERT***
    ***SPOILER ALERT***
    ***SPOILER ALERT*** :)

The entire phrase is “Andre will use his animal power to show you the hay.”

    ***SPOILER ALERT***
    ***SPOILER ALERT***
    ***SPOILER ALERT***

  208. Autumn H. Says:

Hannah Y: whats the next clue?

  209. Gabe Says:

    what is 21

  210. Nick Kjeld... Says:

Got it all down except for the last word

  211. C.R. Says:

    THANK YOU, Hannah Y.!

  212. Rea Says:

I think the phrase is “Andre will use his animal power to show you the way” - I think that’s what it is

  213. Meg Says:

We figured out the cypher… So, NOW WHAT?!?!

  214. Nick Kjeld... Says:

Okay so the word was “hay” I thought i was messing it up

  215. Rea Says:

sorry I meant to type in “hay”

  216. Nick Kjeld... Says:

    what was the next clue?

  217. John Says:

    Thank you for the phrase

  218. C.R. Says:

So what’s next on the docket??

  219. Lindsay Says:

    Whats the next clue?

  220. Michelle =D Says:

did anyone find the picture of/meet andre?

  221. Gabe Says:

I dont think that is the whole thing

  222. Alex Says:

So we have Andre and a goat which might be the animal power…

  223. Gabe Says:

I did not fond the picture

  224. Alex Says:

I think we meet Billy Graham..

  225. Anna Joy Says:

I got the same thing, Hannah. Okay, so I googled the three words in red, and here’s the link that came up: http://www.animalpowerfielddays.org/gallery08.php?yid=3&year=2009

Part of the clue Brett gave us up there ^^ says, “Once you discover his name you will try to meet him (i.e. find a picture of him). Once you meet him you will count down 1, 2, 3 — and then use horse sense and black-and-white thinking to discover what he is doing.”

Perhaps we count down 3 pictures…and try to figure out what the person is doing in one of the pictures…or a black-and-white picture…or SOMETHING. Idk, lol! I’m thinking out loud…well, into my computer here…

  226. Hannah Y. Says:

I found pictures of Andre on Google Images, but I’m still trying to figure out what’s next.

  227. Nick Kjeld... Says:

Ok so this guy named andre is doing a project… what is it? what’s his website?

  228. C.R. Says:

I’m still not sure I understand the significance of the words in red.

  229. Alex Says:

Great! It says: Andre Palmer With Singe Horse On The Log Rite Logging Arch

  230. Nick Kjeld... Says:

1, 2, 3 could be a count down for a race or something.

  231. Sara Says:

came up blank when I searched for black and white pictures of andre dignelli.

  232. Nick Kjeld... Says:

@alex Where does it say that?

  233. John Says:

    Nick: His website is http://www.animalpowerfielddays.org

  234. Alex Says:

I think this is the pic:

    http://www.animalpowerfielddays.org/images/2009//Andre%20Palmer%20with%20Three%20and%20White%20Horse%20Sulky%20Plow,%20and
    %20Pat%20Bacon%20with%20Mules%20on%20Culti-packer.jpg

  235. Kade Says:

    It’s John Wanye!

    JK

  236. Kade Says:

but don’t spend your life on this!

  237. Nick Kjeld... Says:

  238. Alex Says:

@Nick: Right here: http://www.animalpowerfielddays.org/gallery08.php?yid=3&year=2009 It’s the 4th picture, and then I am looking at the third pic. of him.

  239. Michelle =D Says:

at andre’s website…….the third picture has a caption which says “AN EVENT FOR ALL AGES”

sounds like the rebelution to me!!!

  240. Sara Says:

    Oh, Michelle is probably right!!

  241. Michelle =D Says:

    there is a baby clinging to a dude’s leg….in the picture….maybe a clue?

  242. Autumn H. Says:

    i agree michelle :D

  243. Kristin Carr Says:

@ Michelle: Yep, I think that’s a clue. ;) I figured that out awhile ago…but I am trying to figure out where to go from there, haha.

  244. Robin Says:

But it’s not a picture of Andre, so does it count?

  245. Nick Kjeld... Says:

I thought the guys last name started with a “D”

  246. Alex Says:

I think that isn’t the picture because that one doesn’t mention andre or have horses in it.

  247. Michelle =D Says:

Yay! at least we know everyone is invited!!

  248. Sara Says:

I got it! Put “animalpowerfielddays” into the link Brett gave us. You come up with a word search.

  249. Hannah Y. Says:

Those pictures are of Andre Palmer, though, not Andre Dignelli…

  250. Alex Says:

    Great Sara!!

  251. Michelle =D Says:

  262. Robin Says:

  263. C.R. Says:

I’ll come back when you faithful aficionados solve the puzzle!

    I have studying to do.

  264. Michelle =D Says:

yep! i printed it out too Robin!!

  265. Sarah Peña Says:

Will someone please help? I’m not sure where I need to start!

  266. Cynthia Jeub Says:

Sara and Nick…you both have clues. Why is the last word “hay” instead of “way”?

  267. Anna Joy Says:

I keep finding words that aren’t on the list! o.O

  268. Nick Kjeld... Says:

    http://therebelution.com/twenty29/animalpowerfielddays.jpg here you go! :-D

  269. Michelle =D Says:

anna joy: me too!! it will make sense when we’re done though!!

  270. Nick Kjeld... Says:

My comments are awaiting moderation :-(
I have no clue but the rest of it only made sense if H = 2

  271. Sara Says:

Cynthia: “2″ is the letter “h”. (It has to fit with the words the, his, and show.)

  272. Nick Kjeld... Says:

Sarah go to http://www.therebelution.com/ twenty29/animalpowerfielddays.jpg (remove the space)

  273. Sarah Peña Says:

    Help please!!!

  274. Autumn H. Says:

    me too anna joy!

  275. Nick Kjeld... Says:

sarah add twenty29/animalpowerfielddays.jpg to the rebelution’s web site

  276. John Says:

    I’m with you bayer and C.R. ;)

  277. BethAnn Says:

    @Anna Joy… ME TOO!!!! Shout, Confess… lol.

  278. Nick Kjeld... Says:

All my comments are awaiting moderation :-(
type animalpowerfielddays in the link at the top

  279. Nick Kjeld... Says:

type animalpowerfielddays in the link at the top

  280. Nick Kjeld... Says:

in the link brett gave in the blog post

  281. Lexi Says:

oh my word I come here to find that a whole new comversation has been started! Ok, so we now need to find out a new code? can anybody post that link on here for me?

    great job guys!!!

  282. Nick Kjeld... Says:

  283. Meg Says:

    Me too, Nick

  284. Sara Says:

Here Lexi! This is what we’re up to.

    http://www.therebelution.com/twenty29/animalpowerfielddays.jpg

  285. bayer Says:

    Lexi: http://therebelution.com/twenty29/animalpowerfielddays.jpg

  286. Sara Says:

    Nick: Me too! Bummer.

  287. Lexi Says:

ugh Nick that happened to me last night! sorry! =(

  288. Autumn H. Says:

so i finished the word puzzle, anyone have any ideas what to do now? and what is up with the whole 2008 thing?

  289. Michelle =D Says:

words i found not on the list: honorable, kindness, courage, confess, for,

    and w isdom, anyone else?

  290. Nick Kjeld... Says:

i’m almost done with it… what was the deal with the 3 letter word?

  291. Michelle =D Says:

did you fill out the blanks at the bottom too, Autumn H.?

  292. Nick Kjeld... Says:

fill out the sentence on the bottom

  293. Lexi Says:

ill be back later to find out what Twenty29 is…Ive got school! =D good luck everybody!

  294. Autumn H. Says:

shout, confess, courage, honor/honorable. those are the ones i got :)

  295. Sara Says:

Michelle: confess, shout, honorable, kindness, courage. where was wisdom?

  296. Robin Says:

Yeah, why is there a 2008?

  297. Michelle =D Says:

nick, sara: am i missing a link?

  298. Autumn H. Says:

hm. no i didn’t see that part. any ideas about what to put in the blanks?

  299. Sara Says:

The sentence at the bottom only works if you cross off the words that aren’t on the list. :(

  300. Irina H. F. Says:

WHAT DO YOU MEAN, YOU GUYS FINISHED THE PUZZLE?!?!?!?!? Noooooooo! :P

  301. Michelle =D Says:

    it says isdom
and the w is an uncircled letter the line before it.

i didn’t include shout since the “t” was circled.

  302. Hannah Y. Says:

    What’s the 2008 for?

  303. Sara Says:

Michelle: I posted the link for the word search for Lexi.

Autumn: Put in the letters (in order from right to left, up/down) that aren’t crossed off/circled when you’re finished.

  304. Nick Kjeld... Says:

does the puzzle count love and lovely in the same word?

  305. Ellen Says:

Can someone please post a summery of the whole thing?

  306. Autumn H. Says:

no i don’t think so. i found love somewhere else

  307. Michelle =D Says:

do you have to circle the words not on the list for the sentence below to work?

  308. Lexi Says:

ok…is there a reason I am finding words on here that are not listed? somebody please help!!!!!!

  309. Hannah Y. Says:

I’m confused - I finished everything except for 2008 and when I try to fill in the blanks, it’s giving me jibberish.

  310. Brian Says:

A number of the words for the word search are Fruits of the Spirit, I noticed.

  311. Sara Says:

    Michelle: Yes

  312. Robin Says:

No, I circled the “love” in lovely before my sister found it on the other side of the search. :P “Love” starts from the bottom left corner going up.

  313. Michelle =D Says:

    working on it ellen!! :)

  314. Cynthia Jeub Says:

I found several words not on the list but I’ll wait until someone with a printer and could do it faster tells me the next step…

  315. Hannah Y. Says:

nevermind I figured it out. Cross off ALL words, whether or not they’re on the list.

  316. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

I hate word search puzzles…. I’m never really good at them

  317. Robin Says:

but how do we know we got them all? And why is there a 2008?

  318. Lexi Says:

ok so cross the words that oyou find that are NOT on the list also? thanks!

  319. Meg Says:

We’ve got the blanks filled in, but now we’re stuck :(.

  320. Michelle =D Says:

yep! Hannah’s got the right idea. circle all the words you find. then, the uncircled words become the phrase.

  321. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

I should’ve said that earlier! after I said that I found 4 in a row

  322. Sara Says:

Okay, let’s compile a list of words not on the list (:)) so that we all find them all. That way we can help each other.

  323. Robin Says:

Oh yay! I’m getting it! Thanks guys. :)

  324. Hannah Y. Says:

the 2008 is part of the answer to the clue - I’ve got that part figured out.

  325. Michelle =D Says:

are some words in the phrase scrambled up?
i.e. the letters have to be re-arranged to created the word.

  326. bayer Says:

we seem to have ignored this part of the instructions… ” Once you meet him you will count down 1, 2, 3 — and then use horse sense and black-and-white thinking to discover what he is doing. That will be your last and final clue (and provide the three-letter word you are looking for).”

  327. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

Please help with the phrase… I just got “Loom kt” What is that?

  328. Sarah Peña Says:

I’ve taken a completely different way. I think I’ve figured it out!!!

  329. Irina H. F. Says:

The final phrase will have 34 letters, excluding 2008.

  330. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

is there a list of words that aren’t listed that anyone has?

  331. Cynthia Jeub Says:

I’m seeing a lot of words from Galatians 5:22-23 and Philippians 4:8

  332. Alex Says:

We did ignore that, see, I think we find him, the first pic that says Andre, and then count down 1, 2, 3 pictures, and that pic. has a horse in it. I wonder if the crosswords was a clue we skipped.

  333. Hannah Y. Says:

Anyone know what the last word in that fill-in is?

  334. Sara Says:

I’m stuck at the bottom. Anybody find any words (not on the list) besides courage, kindness, and honorable?

  335. Alex Says:

    Which is this image: http://www.animalpowerfielddays.org/images/2009//Andre%20Palmer%20with%20Three%20and%20White%20Horse%20Sulky%20Plow,%20and%20Pat%20Bacon%20with%20Mules%20on%20Culti-packer.jpg

  336. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

    Shout, confess… any more?

  337. Sara Says:

Nick: the “m” starts the word “memorize”.

  338. Michelle =D Says:

    @Nick: it’s “look to” i think……

  339. Lexi Says:

i found kindness, honorable, courage, confess and wisdom with out the (w)

  340. Irina H. F. Says:

    I’m lost…..

  341. Hannah Y. Says:

    Sara: confess, shout, sly (??)

  342. Robin Says:

Sara: yes, I got rejoice, shout, and confess also.

  343. bayer Says:

alex: what is he doing in the third picture? what does that have to do with horse sense and black-and-white thinking?

  344. Cynthia Jeub Says:

    Is “gym” in the phrase?

  345. Sara Says:

    I also found “thrive”.

  346. Hannah Y. Says:

    pray also, and fast

  347. Robin Says:

So far I’ve got “look to previous years”…anybody know what’s next?

  348. Michelle =D Says:

nope…i think the three letter word in the phrase is “all”

  349. Sara Says:

I have all of the phrase except the last word, and I’m totally stumped.

  350. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

ok with the letters I had you so could not spell memorize so I did it really wrong

  351. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

that’s what the first part is!

  352. Lexi Says:

how are you filling in the blanks??? like where did you get look to previous years??

  353. Alex Says:

@Bayer - I don’t deal with horses, but I was thinking he is patting it or nuzzling it or sattling it except I think it should be a 3 letter verb.

  354. Sara Says:

    Thanks, Hannah!!

  355. bayer Says:

look to previous years!! 2008!! try the animalpowerfielddays website and the :previous years” link at the top

  356. Michelle =D Says:

    just kidding….meant “for” oops.

  357. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

    look to previous years for…

  358. Sara Says:

Sorry, Nick, I wasn’t very clear. The word memorize is in the puzzle starting with the m in the top row. So that m can’t go in one of the blanks.

  359. Michelle =D Says:

lexi: did you complete the word search? the letters that are un-circled make words. hope that helps.

  360. Sara Says:

look to previous years for a gallery of…

  361. Lexi Says:

    oh my gosh thats it!

  362. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

what’s the word after “A”? I get jiberish

  363. Sara Says:

    gallery of wisdom?

  364. bayer Says:

    I think its “sit”

  365. Michelle =D Says:

    …..wisdom?

  366. tristen Says:

ok, there are over 300 comments and i dont have time to read them all! can someone please clue me in?

  367. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

    black and white horses

  368. Lexi Says:

wisdom fits….but what does that phrase mean?

  369. Lizzy Says:

    A gallery of 2008?

  370. Alex Says:

Yeah, me too, except that didn’t work. Everyone, the pic. we are looking at is here: http://www.animalpowerfielddays.org/images/2008//Andre%20Palmer%20Plowing%203%20Abreast%20with%20White%20Horse%20Plow%20at%20Howvale%20Farm%20Working%20Demos.jpg

  371. bayer Says:

ok guys I think this might be the right direction:
    http://www.animalpowerfielddays.org/gallery08.php?yid=3&year=2009

click on “previous years” then go to 2008 gallery

” Once you meet [Andre Palmer] you will count down 1, 2, 3 — and then use horse sense and black-and-white thinking to discover what he is doing. That will be your last and final clue (and provide the three-letter word you are looking for).”

  372. Lexi Says:

HORSES somebody check the word horses that fits!

  373. Sara Says:

“Look to previous years for a gallery of wisdom” would make sense with the theme of twenty29.

  374. Chip Says:

    http://www.animalpowerfielddays.org/gallery.php?yid=2&year=2008

  375. Cynthia Jeub Says:

the 2008 photo page contains a lot more hay.

  376. Lexi Says:

hmmm ok so I am in 2008 gallery…but what are we looking for? the third pic down once we find Andre is him plowing…what is a 3 letter word??

  377. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

    so he’s driving horses?

  378. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

wait.. is the 3 letter word “8up”?

  379. Michelle =D Says:

in the animalpowerfielddays website….the link to previous years….then 2008 gallery….the third picture down…..a dude is talking into a microphone…….and someone else has raffle tickets….

also the title is “And the winner is”

  380. bayer Says:

the third picture andre is in… what is he doing? (three letter word): “sit”

    what do you guys think?

  381. Lexi Says:

    wait…hay! is that the word??!?!

  382. Joseph Says:

Look in the picture of the black and white horses, there is some kid on the chariot with him. Mabey that ties in with twenty29. Just thinking

  383. Michelle =D Says:

the plowing is the fourth picture down…

  384. Lexi Says:

bayer…that sounds like thats could work! somebody try it in a link!

  385. Joanna Says:

is it Andre Dignelli or Andre Palmer - what do you think?

  386. Lexi Says:

hmmmm is there an Andre Dignelli on this site too? oh no!

  387. Lizzy Says:

Sit and Win and Hay don’t work in the link.

  388. bayer Says:

Lizzy: just tried the exact same thing :)

  389. Sara Says:

black and white thinking: the horse on the left is black and white.

  390. Brian Says:

The third picture down from the first of Andre is him “tedding” which means to spread out newly cut grass to dry (i.e. hay).

  391. Michelle =D Says:

    neither does 8up

  392. Lexi Says:

    hmm try sam

  393. Michelle =D Says:

    any ideas?

  394. Robin Says:

“and then use horse sense and black-and-white thinking to discover what he is doing” So…he’s plowing right? I tried it though…it doesn’t work. Maybe he’s referring to what the horse it doing?

  395. C.R. Says:

Can somebody please briefly update me on the state of things here as I rejoin the group? Is a new clue unlocked?

I took a quick break for lunch and revised my history paper…and look what happened!

  396. Cynthia Jeub Says:

The B&W horse is on the left in one pic, then the middle for a few, and right at the end. 3-2-1 from the point of view of the horse?

  397. Anna Joy Says:

There are THREE horses…and one or two of them are black and white…hmmm…?

  398. Hannah Y. Says:

    he’s plowing…raking…turning up the earth…i don’t know. :)

  399. Alex Says:

The person is Andre Palmer, and his pic. is on this page: http://www.animalpowerfielddays.org/gallery08.php?yid=3&year=2008

There are black and white horses too!

  400. Lexi Says:

haha C.R, there was another word scramble thing…we have the phrase and are looking a the 2008 photo gallery on Andre’s website for a 3 letter word

  401. Michelle =D Says:

wait….what picture are you guys looking at?

  402. Anna Joy Says:

The title over one of the pictures is…”Tedding Hay During Equipment Demos”

Soooo he’s *tedding* the *hay*…can we take that somewhere?

  403. Lexi Says:

they are looking at the first picture that has Andre in it

  404. Lexi Says:

i tried both of those words and nothing came up

  405. C.R. Says:

    Okay, thanks Lexi.

  406. Brian Says:

You know, when the owners of the “animalpowerfielddays” website look at their traffic log for today, they’re going to wonder what was going on that they’re getting a million hits… :-)

  407. Anna Joy Says:

Well, it says to “discover what he is doing” in Brett’s clue…and he’s apparently tedding hay…sooo…

  408. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

Nothing for sam, hay, tedding, horse, plow, or 8up

  409. Lexi Says:

right…we all see what he is doing…but what 3 word do we need? none of them work!

  410. Cynthia Jeub Says:

Right now we’re all guessing. The answer should be more obvious than all that.

  411. Lexi Says:

thanks Nick! I tried oil too…even though it was not on his picture

  412. Alex Says:

    Yes, it must be easy…

  413. Rebeca Says:

What is the phrase at the end of the word search?

  414. Anna Joy Says:

    Grrr….3-letter word….>.>

  415. Autumn H. Says:

i know i am a little behind, but what was the phrase at the bottom of the word cross?

  416. Lizzy Says:

Are we sure it’s a word and not three letters that are suppose to stand for something?

  417. Michelle =D Says:

the phrase is “look to previous years for a gallery of wisdom”

  418. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

ok so find out what he’s doing… In the pictures he’s “tedding” or “driving” but neither of those are 3 letters

  419. Lexi Says:

the phrase is… “look to previous years years for a gallery of horses”

  420. Hannah Y. Says:

Rebeca it’s “Look to previous years for a gallery of wisdom.”

  421. tristen Says:

i am very confused. someone please breifly update me on what has happened since brett posted the billy grahm clue last night?!!!!

  422. bayer Says:

ok guys we have to use horse sense and black-and-white thinking…

  423. Alex Says:

So it is going to the previous year, 2008, on that site.

  424. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

Maybe we’re looking in the wrong year…

  425. Sara Says:

bayer: do you know what it is?

  426. Lexi Says:

ok wait…Brett never says that a 3-letter word will take us to the clue…it just says see what the man is doing and that is your last clue. Provide the 3-letter word you are looking for.

    but what does that mean!

  427. Hannah Y. Says:

I’m a rider, I should know how to think horse but apparently not…lol

  428. Kay Morris Says:

Has anyone thought of looking to previous years on here?

  429. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

I just found this on the site… “SUPPORT NEAPFD” That’s a major typo… Any body think it might have something to do with it?

  430. Lizzy Says:

what kind of horses are they?

  431. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

Is andre palmaer on this site anywhere?

  432. Kay Morris Says:

NICK!!!! You are just too funny to watch!!! =P

  433. bayer Says:

Sara: no, but I’m trying to keep people going in the right direction.

Lexi: does that mean that we’ll have no confirmation as to what the three letter word is until Brett comes?

  434. Michelle =D Says:

did anyone find the typo in the post helpful yet?

  435. Anna Joy Says:

In the third picture, the guy’s reading a raffle ticket and speaking into a microphone.

Also, are we absolutely sure the picture’s on this page? There are other pages under ‘2008′ with pictures on them…

  436. Lexi Says:

guys…the 3rd picture down from when we first see Andre is him Tedding with 3 horses. what 3-letter word does Brett want us to provide that we are looking for. We know what he is doing

  437. Kay Morris Says:

Michelle, that is how they got ‘Andre’

  438. Hannah Y. Says:

Yes Michelle - the typo-ed word rearranged spelled “Andre,” and we followed that to Andre Digelli (sp?) for the horses and Andre Palmer for the photos.

  439. Kay Morris Says:

He does not say that the three letter word in there… he said it will provide the last clue. You found the field days. That is what he is doing.

The clue was the phrase in the word puzzle. It doesn’t have to be on that site. It could be on here….

  440. Kay Morris Says:

But I am all muddled, so pay no mind to me… I think I am off…. WAY off….

  441. Michelle =D Says:

    gotcha!! thanks.

  442. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

Glad I’m so entertaining…. Wait you can see me? Where are you? ;D
    I’m stumped….

  443. Lexi Says:

but then why take us to that horse website? doesnt make sense

  444. Anna Joy Says:

Ehhh I doubt this’ll lead anywhere in the search…but in case anyone’s interested, here’s the link to the 2008 archives for this site…http://www.therebelution.com/blog/2008

  445. Hannah Y. Says:

Alex and Brett are going to have loads of fun reading this later… :)

  446. Lexi Says:

haha it may take them hours to read it =D

  447. Rebeca Says:

Nick: Where do you see that?

  448. C.R. Says:

    @ tristen

Well, it’s a very long story! Did you read Brett’s post all the way through? If so, it’s pretty simple. Basically, today’s clues and puzzles all tie in with this guy Andre Dignelli, a horse trainer. We finished the first puzzle which was a code type thing, and the second puzzle which was a word search. Now, from the results of the word search people are trying to get more clues, I think. That’s all I know - I missed about thirty minutes in there so I’m still trying to get up to speed myself. :-)

  449. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

http://www.therebelution.com/blog/2006/10/faces-of-the-academy/ there’s some pictures of “ANDREws” one of the only things I could find on this blog…

  450. Michelle =D Says:

yep! it will probably take them forever too!! There are so many comments….almost 500!!

  451. Alex Says:

There are three years to check; 2007, 2008, & 2009.

  452. Sara Says:

They deserve a prize for keeping this many people entertained for four hours!

  453. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

    @Rebecca See what?

  454. Anna Joy Says:

Hmmm and here’s the description for the third picture with Andre Palmer in it: “Andre Palmer Plowing 3 Abreast with White Horse Plow at Howvale Farm Working Demos”

Eeesh. This is crazy! I’m so distracted, but there’s no way I can focus on my homework right now…>.<

  455. C.R. Says:

Hannah Y, I had the same thought. This has been a crazy rabbit trail since last night!

  456. Noella Says:

Referring to a previous commenter; ya’ll just might make the FBI team yet! :) Good job!

  457. Lexi Says:

haha i think seeing us doing this for so long IS their prize lol

  458. Becca Smith Says:

I have been trying to follow this and figure things out for myself, but every time I get something someone else is a step ahead of me! But we’ve got pretty far! Brett should be out of class any time now, and we might get a bit more help!

  459. Lizzy Says:

*sigh* Am trying every three letter word that was suggested forwards and backwards.

  460. Rebeca Says:

I am so not getting this. :)

  461. Kay Morris Says:

I am just refreshing the page and “watching” ya’ll on your quest… lol.

  462. Anna Joy Says:

More than four hours, Sara! lol

And @Hannah…do you know if Alex is going to be involved as much now that he’s married and all?

  463. bayer Says:

Sara: not a prize. they should get a punishment for wasting so many peoples time!! haha

  464. Robin Says:

I can’t spend the rest of the day on the computer haha. I’ll check back in later. Hope you guys figure it out!

  465. Lexi Says:

WAIT GUYS!!!!! reread Bretts clues at the top….I think i am getting it

  466. C.R. Says:

bayer, didn’t you say you were going to do homework? :-)

  467. Caitlin Says:

I may be way off…but here’s some interesting Rebelution posts from 2008 that may relate to the elusive “gallery of wisdom”…

    http://www.therebelution.com/blog/2008/12/the-oldest-rebelutionary/

    http://www.therebelution.com/blog/2008/09/upcoming-events-in-october/

  468. Hannah Y. Says:

    Alex is married?

  469. Lexi Says:

the 3 letter word is the FIRST THREE LETTERS OF THE LAST CLUE (ie: what he is doing)

  470. bayer Says:

    C.R.: I said I was debating…. homework lost.

  471. Lexi Says:

gah! Alex got married? I thought it was going to be this summer! O_O

  472. Michelle =D Says:

i think so….he got engaged to Courtney. and they said that the wedding would be in january. ;D

  473. C.R. Says:

    Typical. :-)

  474. Cynthia Jeub Says:

Hannah Y: I’m just laughing thinking about Brett’s reaction to that comment.

  475. Lexi Says:

oooooooooooo ok i knew he got engaged..just didnt remember when the wedding was

  476. Rebeca Says:

    Nick: The “SUPPORT NEAPFD” typo.

  477. Hannah Y. Says:

    aww, that’s so cool! (<–in reply to Michelle’s comment :) )

  478. Lexi Says:

LOL we are sooo off topic! B&W thinking here people! did anybody see my spasm comment??!??!!

  479. Michelle =D Says:

wait…Lexi…are you suggesting the word isn’t 3 letters?

  480. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

    TRY TED!!!!

  481. Cynthia Jeub Says:

    “ted” works

  482. Autumn H. Says:

Lexi: i saw that too, but what i am trying to figure out now, is which picture?

  483. Lexi Says:

    I GOT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  484. Lexi Says:

i got it like 10 minutes ago people! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY

  485. C.R. Says:

    What is it, Lexi?!

  486. BethAnn Says:

    WHAT IS IT LEXI??????????

  487. bayer Says:

what?!! I thought I had already tried ted!!

  488. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

@Rebecca that was on the previous years page

  489. Lexi Says:

    whoot whoot whoot whoot

  490. Rebeca Says:

Bayer is right they should be punished I thought they didn’t want us to waste our time. lol

  491. Lexi Says:

THE WORD IS TED! go here! http://www.therebelution.com/twenty29/ted.jpg

  492. Lexi Says:

    http://www.therebelution.com/twenty29/ted.jpg

  493. Rebeca Says:

    @Nick Oh okay, thanks

  494. Becca Smith Says:

    put ted into the url

  495. Cynthia Jeub Says:

yeah…all that procrastination stuff was good!

  496. Joseph Says:

    SO just google TED….

  497. Lexi Says:

arerggggg it wont let me put up the link!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  498. Autumn H. Says:

    lol so what is ted?

  499. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

A quick google search for TED brings up http://www.ted.com/

  500. Anna Joy Says:

I tried ted, though! I didn’t think it worked before…>.< Aghhhh lol!!!!

  501. C.R. Says:

Google is your friend, Ted. huh?

  502. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

that’s not it….. The title on google made it sound like it was

  503. Hannah Y. Says:

funny, ted didn’t work for me before when I put it in. works now though! :)

  504. Rebecca Turner Says:

for all the girls who are still wondering about the wedding, it was January 2nd = D

  505. C.R. Says:

@ Nick, do you think that’s relevant?

    Very interesting….

  506. Caitlin Says:

Anna Joy: I had tried it, too, but to no avail. :-( Oh well…at least we have it now!! :-D

  507. Becca Smith Says:

ted didn’t work for me before either, I think Brett just activated it so we can view it now

  508. bayer Says:

    TED.com (Technology, Entertainment, Design)…. doesn’t seem likely

  509. Anna Joy Says:

A conference on “technology, entertainment, and design”? Huh? lol..

  510. Hannah Y. Says:

    ah ha!! I got it!

  511. Autumn H. Says:

    so any ideas?

  512. Michelle =D Says:

TED is a small nonprofit devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. It started out (in 1984) as a conference bringing together people from three worlds: Technology, Entertainment, Design.

maybe 2029 is similar…..like character, competence, collaboration.

  513. Hannah Y. Says:

Google is your friend, Ted. Google is Ted’s friend.

    :)

  514. Lexi Says:

wow I cannot believe i got it….i am horrible at this kind of stuff! =D

  515. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

    I don’t now

  516. Anna Joy Says:

Hmmmm somebody’s watching us…and secretly activating pages as we go along…? lol :P

  517. Kay Morris Says:

    Becca…. that can’t be… he’s at school…

  518. Lexi Says:

lol that website for TED doesnt seem like it fits…..maybe Twenty29 is something similar though?

  519. Anna Joy Says:

Yeah, Michelle…but didn’t we already know it was about those things?! o.O

  520. Becca Smith Says:

@Kay-wouldn’t he be out of class by now?

  521. C.R. Says:

It could be relevant - who would have thought that Andre Dignelli was relevant to a Rebelution conference, after all? Who knows….

  522. Hannah Y. Says:

    Google is TED’s FRIEND…

  523. Becca Smith Says:

Kay, wouldn’t he be out by now?

  524. Lizzy Says:

I tried Ted an hour ago and it didn’t work. ???

  525. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

I’d like to know who TED is

  526. Michelle =D Says:

anna joy: definitely! i tried ted too, and it did not work. So someone/whoever is activating pages.

  527. Alex Says:

    http://www.therebelution.com/twenty29/ted.jpg

  528. Sara Says:

I thought for sure I tried ted already. Guess not. Way to go, Lexi!!

  529. C.R. Says:

Hannah, you keep saying that! You must be way ahead of me…. I don’t get it!

  530. bayer Says:

Hannah Y.: have you got further than that?

  531. Laura V. Says:

“Tedding” can also be shortened to “Ted”. ;) Just to let ya’ll know. :D

  532. Hannah Y. Says:

    Ted Friend…maybe…??

  533. Kay Morris Says:

Becca, WAY up there he said he’d be back tonight….

  534. Rebecca Turner Says:

@Hannah: could you give a different hint?? My brain’s not working with that one : )

  535. Laura V. Says:

Oh ok, you figured that out. ;)

  536. Autumn H. Says:

Becca: he said that he will read everything tonight, idk what time that means lol

  537. Lexi Says:

lol i was thinking this whole time…..we are doing this wrong! So i went back to his clues and was like…oh my goodness!

  538. Rebeca Says:

I went to the TED website but I don’t get the connection. Maybe Twenty29 is something similar like Lexi said.

  539. Rebecca Turner Says:

so Lexi, you want to give the rest of us a hint??

  540. Lexi Says:

Hannah: what do you mean? I googled that but nothing came up either

  541. Alex Says:

TED in one instance stands for Technology, Entertainment, and Design.

  542. Cynthia Jeub Says:

So who has the answer so far?

  543. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

all the picture told us was something we already knew

  544. Lexi Says:

Rebecca: ted is the 3-letter word…you put it into the link and it takes you to another clue! =D

  545. BethAnn Says:

Um..ok..I’m lost! HELP!!! So is this it? http://www.ted.com…That’s it? Or what…help?

  546. Becca Smith Says:

Oh, I missed the tonight part, I was just assuming he’d check back after the class got out. Oh well. There goes that theory…

  547. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

Brett said in his post “p.s. Google is your friend” guess Google now likes TED instead

  548. Hannah Y. Says:

There are two people with the name Ted Friend. One: a animal science professor, and two: an actor.

  549. Alex Says:

The clue is when you plug Ted into the equation bringing you to http://www.therebelution.com/twenty29/ted.jpg

  550. bayer Says:

“You are ultimately searching for a three-letter word — which are the first three letters of the answer to the very last clue.”

so TED are the first 3 letters to the last clue

  551. Cynthia Jeub Says:

I found that too, Hannah. But that’s not it.

  552. Sara Says:

lol. Nick’s right. We can’t trust Google. Who’s friend will it be next?!

  553. BethAnn Says:

Oh I just saw some other comments.. Which link do we put it into? the rebelution?

  554. Hayden Fletcher Says:

Type “ted” in to the original link…

  555. Alex Says:

TED is our final clue, and given that it is all caps, I think it stands for something.

  556. Michelle =D Says:

BethAnn……TED is a community of techie buffs who come together for an annual conference….it’s pretty huge….worldwide….

the harris’ want to start a similar community and meet at the cove yearly…..with people of all ages…and promote their three things.

at least that’s what i’m assuming here.

  557. Lexi Says:

hmmmm thats interesting Nick…I totally forgot about that

  558. Becca Smith Says:

Ahhhh, all my comments are awaiting moderation!

Kay: I missed the tonight part, I was assuming he’d come back after the first class. Well, there goes that theory…

  559. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

    Some results for TED:
    Ted Turner (founder of CNN)
    Ted Kennedy
    Torrent Episode Downloader
    The Electricity Detective

  560. Kay Morris Says:

A Rebelutionary school of science and acting!!!!

    JOKING, by the way…. ;)

  561. Hannah Y. Says:

but those people don’t look right - maybe it’s not Ted Friend after all…

  562. Caitlin Says:

“You are ultimately searching for a three-letter word — which are the first three letters of the answer to the very last clue”

Maybe….we need to combine “ted” with something else???

  563. Hannah Y. Says:

that’s good, Alex - it is in all caps.

  564. Michelle =D Says:

haha Nick!! yep, google’s loyalties keep switching apparently!!

  565. Lexi Says:

TED is the word we “need to provide” I tried TEDfriend and google and other things into the link but it didnt go

  566. Rebeca Says:

Lexi: I did that and then googled TED but I think I got the same website everyone else is getting. Are we suppose to google Ted Friend? :)

  567. Hayden Fletcher Says:

    I know who Ted is…

  568. C.R. Says:

“We can’t trust Google. Who’s friend will it be next?!”

    Don’t be evil. :-)

  569. Lexi Says:

HAYDEN THEN SPIT IT OUT!!! lol =)

  570. Becca Smith Says:

    Who is Ted, Hayden?

  571. Kristianna Says:

I found this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TED_(conference) it mentions that Billy Graham has given a “TED talk” before. :)

  572. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

Now you’re on Hayden… Did my skype links help? Any suggestions for what to do with TED? you’re a fresh brain :-D

  573. Caitlin Says:

Hayden: Who is it?? Pleeeasse tell us!

  574. C.R. Says:

    Kristianna

HE HAS??? It HAS to be, then!

  575. Sara Says:

I don’t think that the TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) site is it. I don’t think they’d recommend something that Al Gore is associated with. I could be wrong, of course…

  576. Alex Says:

    Wow Kristianna!

  577. Hayden Fletcher Says:

Gimme a moment….working both possibilities and trying to see which ties in best…

  578. Lexi Says:

    Kristinanna thats brilliant!

  579. Cynthia Jeub Says:

I found that about half an hour ago. I don’t think it means anything if Billy Graham spoke at TED.

  580. C.R. Says:

    It all makes sense now!

  581. Alex Says:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TED_conference

  582. bayer Says:

wikipedia also says the founders of Google have given “TED talks”

  583. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

That’s a good connection Kristianna. Maybe that site was relevant… maybe there’s going to be a TED Conference at the Billy Graham center at the cove

  584. Hannah Y. Says:

So a TED talk is an 18-minute talk? is that it?

  585. Joseph Says:

The founders of google also have spoken at TED conferences

  586. Alex Says:

TED.com is non-profit and stands for Technology, Entertainment, & Design. I suspect Twenty29 uses this somehow, or it’s pointing us to Billy Graham again. But he was on TED!

  587. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

    Quoting the Wikipedia article:
“Those who have given TED talks include Bill Clinton, Al Gore, Gordon Brown, Bill Gates, the founders of Google, the evangelist Billy Graham and various Nobel Prize winners.”

  588. Laura V. Says:

Wow good job Kristianna!! So is that the answer?

  589. Hannah Y. Says:

AAHAHAHA!! I just got the “Billy Graham” thing!! a goat and a cracker! i’m sorry - that’s really funny for some reason!

  590. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

    Did you guys read this?!?!?!
“Every year since 2005, a $100,000 TED Prize has been awarded to help its winners realise a chosen “wish to change the world”. Each winner unveils their wish at the main annual conference – within the specified 18 minutes.”

  591. Alex Says:

“Every year since 2005, a $100,000 TED Prize has been awarded to help its winners realise a chosen “wish to change the world”. Each winner unveils their wish at the main annual conference – within the specified 18 minutes.” Maybe Alex & Brett want to try?

  592. Hayden Fletcher Says:

Okay…Google Ted Friend. Two things come up at the top: http://animalscience.tamu.edu/facultystaff/faculty/friend.htm and http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0295554/. I worked with Ted Friend (actor), and he doesn’t tie into anything we saw before (”The Court Jester” or “Star Wars”). And since the other Ted Friend works with animals, I would think he’s the one. Gimme a sec…I might have a way to prove that…

  593. Lexi Says:

hey guys…on the TED website..it has a theme page…one of them says the Rise of Collaboration!

  594. Laura V. Says:

Wow that would be awesome!! That has to be it!!

  595. Cynthia Jeub Says:

Hannah Y: blonde moment there? :D

  596. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

I was helpful! :-D yay!!! Maybe I’ll make the FBI team :-D

  597. Cynthia Jeub Says:

Lexi: are we right or wrong?

  598. Hannah H. Says:

Wow this is confusing. I was looking at the TED web site and I don’t see how it would have anything to do with this… or do we have everything from this post and t-e-d just the first 3 letters of the answer to a clue we are going to be getting?

  599. bayer Says:

I hate the fact that I have to leave now…. when I get back I’ll have to read like 300 more comments :(

  600. Hannah Y. Says:

I guess so, Cynthia - I do have blond hair! :)

  601. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

You know if you take the “s” out of the message it says:
    Google your friend, TED

  602. John Says:

    Me too:(

  603. Anna Joy Says:

W00t!!! Go, Nick and Alex!!! That HAS to be it!

(Idk if this link could be helpful: http://www.ted.com/search?q=billy+graham&x=0&y=0)

  604. Lexi Says:

haha Nick oh no if we have to go internet hunting again Im DONE

  605. Rebeca Says:

But if it has to do with the TED prize or conference why wouldn’t they just do it as the Rebelution? Why the new Twenty29?

  606. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

Look at this! The rebelution did have a post about TED
    http://www.therebelution.com/blog/2007/05/watch-eva-vertes-at-ted-2005/

  607. Alesia Says:

Okay, I SO GOT IT!!! YAY! I CRACKED THE LINK! =D

  608. Hannah Y. Says:

So is the next TED conference at the Cove with Billy Graham and Alex & Brett want to present something?

  609. Kristianna Says:

I’m wondering if twenty29 is something similar… I don’t know that they would make a new website for a TED conference.

  610. Cynthia Jeub Says:

I’m not happy with the way it turned out, because I’m still not positive…how does it tell us what the twenty29 project is?

  611. Lexi Says:

maybe thats their new project to change the world

  612. Alesia Says:

Maybe…haha…I did get words, but no pic..was there supposed to be a pic?

  613. Lexi Says:

yeah…it doesnt lol i think thats what he wanted =)

  614. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

Maybe its a collaboration between older and younger people

  615. C.R. Says:

There are definitely some missing pieces, but I think we’re on the right track.

  616. Justin M. Davito Says:

This could be way off…but check this out. http://www.ted.com/talks/lang/eng/billy_graham_on_technology_faith_and_suffering.html

    Notice the website, TED!

    Thoughts?

  617. Lexi Says:

NICK YOU ARE AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THATS IT!

  618. Anna Joy Says:

    What did you get, Alesia???

  619. Sara Says:

I think that TED is where we are supposed to be looking, but I’m guessing we’ll have to wait for Brett to explain why.

  620. Lexi Says:

Nick whoot! ok, so I think I got it all figured out

    Location: The Cove NC
    Verse: Proverbs 20:29
    3-letter word: ted
    Website: ted.com
what is twenty29: a TED award to Alex and Brett to change the world again! =)

  621. Caitlin Says:

Hannah H: that’s exactly what I was wondering…have any ideas??

  622. Alesia Says:

    I got
    “Google is your friend, TED”

haha, what’s funny is that it was my VERY first try!

  623. Lexi Says:

guys…go read Nick’s comment a little ways up…it has a link from the Rebelution about TED

  624. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

That’s great! Thanks for the compliments

  625. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

I can’t believe we figured it out!

  626. Lexi Says:

AHHHH THIS IS AMAZING *pumps fist in air* we all need awards for this…man we are the best FBI team ever! =)

  627. Jennifer Says:

Were all of Brett’s hints resolved?

  628. Anna Joy Says:

    Whew. That was pretty intense…:P

  629. Hannah Y. Says:

so…what does this all mean? What is Twenty29?

  630. Lexi Says:

we think so Jennifer! I guess we will just have to wait until Brett posts later

  631. Sara Says:

Yep, it’s totally the FBI for y’all! Way to go!

  632. Justin M. Davito Says:

So, are we saying it is the TED conference located at the Cove broadcasted live?

  633. Lexi Says:

alright, well I gotta go….see yall later! ;)

  634. Hannah Y. Says:

I’ve got to go - marking where I leave off. :) be back later to catch up…

  635. Anna Joy Says:

    Awesome collaboration, y’all!!!!!! :D

  636. Jennifer Says:

Oh my goodness, I can’t believe I just read through ALL those comments… This is so exhilarating!

  637. Alesia Says:

*Scratches head* All these hints and I’m still dumbfounded… O.o

  638. Anissa Says:

@alesia What exactly don’t you understand? what the clue is?

  639. Hayden Fletcher Says:

    OMGosh.

I just realized that I saved the Eva Vertes link when it was first posted several years ago because I liked it a lot. I copied it into a Word doc and everything. That means…oh my…I’ve had the clue in my computer folder this whole time!!! Wow………

  640. Rebecca Turner Says:

@Alesia: basically what we are thinking is what Lexi posted above:

  641. Rebecca Turner Says:

    “Location: The Cove NC
    Verse: Proverbs 20:29
    3-letter word: ted
    Website: ted.com
what is twenty29: a TED award to Alex and Brett to change the world again! =)”

  642. Justin M. Davito Says:

    Hey guys,

check this out! I was talking with Kristin Carr, and I showed her this link, http://video.google.com/ted.html

So, Ted was a possibility! Brett mentioned two clues in his post. The typo and the BMW! BMW is the new sponsor for TED (which is confirmed in the link I just posted).

    -Justin

  643. Autumn H. Says:

great job everyone! we could all make a pretty awesome FBI team :D

  644. Lindsay Says:

    So our clues our
    Billy Graham
    The Cove
    TED Conference
    Proverbs 20:23
    Right?
    So what is Twenty29.org for?

  645. Lexi Says:

    Location: The Cove NC
    Verse: Proverbs 20:29
    3-letter word: ted
    Website: ted.com
what is twenty29: a TED award to Alex and Brett to change the world again! =)”

  646. Lindsay Says:

Alright Brett, I think the super sleuthing FBI team has got it, so spill the beans!

  647. Alesia Says:

No, it’s just that Twenty29, talks about young and old coming together, with the possibilities of changing the world.
I don’t think an award could do that. Of course Alex and Brett could do that, with Gods help of course. But I think it’s more likely to be a program or conferences, or maybe even another form of DHT.
I’m not exactly sure what it is, it baffles me.

  648. Anissa Says:

Brett won’t be on until later today. And I don’t think we’re FBI material, yet. XP

  649. Ellen Says:

Think of what it took to set this whole “treasure hunt” up! Wow.

  650. Rebecca Turner Says:

He probably won’t be on for quite a while, since the PHC basketball team has a game tonight (at 7:30)…so we have a while to wait…

  651. BethAnn Says:

Wow, did any of you watch the 2005 video someone posted early, that is on the Rebelution blog? That is really cool!

  652. Justin M. Davito Says:

Maybe Twent29 will serve as the server to broadcast TED in 2011???

  653. C.R. Says:

How exciting! That was some seriously great teamwork!

I’ll be back later to see the final details being ironed out.

  654. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

Alex and Brett your FBI team is up and ready :-D

  655. C.R. Says:

And think of it, it only took about a 1000 comments to get to the bottom of it. :-) Still impressive. I’m just surprised their servers haven’t crashed yet!

  656. Rebeca Says:

Wow. I am still not sure that I get all the details but I have a feeling those will be explained later. You guys are awesome!!!! Talk about collaboration!!!!

  657. Em Says:

This is one of the best treasure hunts of all time :-) There are some very creative brains behind it! Great job!

  658. Kay Morris Says:

The most important thing about this is that we Rebelutionaries pulled together (albeit like rabid dogs…) to sniff out what was laid before us… now to resume our intelligent roles and put it all together… =)

  659. Cynthia Jeub Says:

That was so well done. An excellent treasure hunt.

  660. Jennifer Says:

Justin, Lexi, Hayden, Lindsay, and the rest of you…. I feel like I know you all so well after reading all these comments!!! This is insane!

  661. Kay Morris Says:

It was a great, fun, and memorable time, but I have a feeling it isn’t over yet!

  662. Anissa Says:

Well the three letter word “ted” is the beginning of the last clue, right?

  663. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

Most I’ve ever commented on a blog post before :-D Great example of Collaboration!

  664. Alesia Says:

    Was that the last clue?

  665. Anissa Says:

“You are ultimately searching for a three-letter word — which are the first three letters of the answer to the very last clue.”

  666. Krista Says:

Maybe Alex & Brett are going to host their own version of a TED conference at the Cove, with young people giving 18 minute speeches on how they think they can change the world. Also, maybe there will be established adults serving as a panel of judges that will pick the best idea presented and help that young person achieve their idea. Just a thought…

  667. Alesia Says:

Oh haha, duh. Okay thanks =)

  668. Justin M. Davito Says:

It’s been a pleasure posting with you guys also!

Brett still needs to confirm everything and give us the exact role “Twenty29″ will play. But I think we have most of it!

  669. Dylan Morgan Says:

Yes. It says so at the top.

Wow did I come in to late to help…

  670. Landon Vos Says:

I am confused, i’ve recieved two of these E-mails and I don’t get it! I geocache so I like treasuer hunts and mysteries, fill me in!

  671. Anissa Says:

Do you want to know what we found out? Or just a basic summary of the hints so you can figure it out for yourself?

  672. Trey Edwards Says:

I’ve solved the code (ok, my brother did), but I still don’t get it…

  673. tristen Says:

ok, so i see all the pieces (im sad i couldnt figuire some of it out myself) but how do they all come together to solve the puzzel of twenty29????

  674. Christina Boskovic Says:

Wow, I didn’t even realize there was any treasure hunt/clues or anything to find out, until about an hour ago when I read Brett’s last post, then I was like, “what?” I read through all the comments. You guys sure had fun figuring it out, I followed the links, wow they must have spent months working on this treasure hunt and making all the clues. I’m still waiting to finding out what the final is. I never would have been able to figure it out myself unless I spent hours and hours on it, which I totally don’t have time for, lol.

  675. Trey Edwards Says:

Are we allowed to post the answer to any of the clues?

  676. Autumn H. Says:

trey: a bunch of us posted the answer earlier, so ya lol :D

  677. Justin M. Davito Says:

Yes, the clues have been posted and our predictions of what they are.

Trey, what do you think these clues allude to?

    -Justin

  678. Lizzy Says:

Whew. Great job people. Can’t wait to see if they were all right!

  679. Jordan Diann Says:

Whatever the case, props to Brett for creating this AMAZING scavenger hunt. Wow! You must have spent a lot of time on it–brilliant!

Congratulations ladies and gentlemen on this awesome team work. What a great example of collaboration and communication! Nice work!

One thing this search has convinced me of, I need to take a trip out to the Cove. It looks like paradise on earth. :)

  680. Sara-Caitrin Says:

I am extreamly confused. Can someone please fill me in?

  681. Sarah Haas Says:

    http://www.ted.com/pages/view?id=348

Scroll down to United States and then you’ll see “TEDxAsheville - 8/29/10″
Asheville is the city that The Cove is in!
So Twenty29 is a TED event at The Cove on August 29.

  682. Alesia Says:

August 29′th? haha..why is it always that date?
    That’s my b-day xD

  683. Sara-Caitrin Says:

OK, so, I just reread my previos comment wnd relized how extreamly vauge it was. Hahaha oooops. Do the clues go in any specific order?

  684. Chelsea McBay Says:

That can’t be it… Alex and Brett are going to be in MO the day before hand for a Do Hard Things conference.

  685. Jennifer Says:

My dad figured it out!!!!!! We’re all supposed to go to McDonalds and get 20 Billy GraHam-burgers for 29 dollars!!!!!! Yay yay yay!!! Thanks Brett!!! Yayyyyyy!!!

  686. Alesia Says:

    HAHAHA Jennifer.
    That would be so awesome!
2,000 people in Mcdonalds at once…love to be there! =P

  687. Jennifer Says:

Ya it will be great!! See ya there!! I’m gonna camp out so I can be near the front of the line…

  688. Alesia Says:

haha..save as pot for me, I’ll meet you there =P

  689. Kay Morris Says:

LOL, you guys are a trip!!! This has been one pretty fun day!!! (and night, for those of us who waited on edge for Brett to post…) lol ;)

  690. Lindsay Says:

Alright so when should Brett be getting on tonight? I really want to know what he is planning!

  691. Alesia Says:

Hey Kay, I know it’s kinda off topic, but on your site, you have a little button that says “tired of low expectations? join the Rebelution” how do you get that?
I’ve been trying to find one of those to put on my blog for MONTHS now!

  692. Lexi Says:

HAHAHA wow i go off for a couple of hours and you guys are still at it! =D

so, we figured it out….to anyone who is confused…im sorry but you’ll have to read the comments up above…there was much that went on in 2 hours! ;)

WHOOT WHOOT The Cove on August 29th for TED Twenty29 event. We are the most awesome FBI agents ever!! I would not be surprised if we got phone calls tonight for jobs in D.C…=)

I cant wait to see Brett’s comment when he sees that we figured his super hard clues out!

  693. John Says:

I’d like to know. I’ve been thinking about jjooining the forum. How long does it take to get your membership form approved. Just asking.

  694. Alesia Says:

John: It took about 1-2 months for me. =)

  695. John Says:

haha OK. Now I know what to expect :)

  696. tristen Says:

    HaHa Lexi!
Its too bad some of us were stuck at school :(

  697. Lexi Says:

Hey guys! Now that we are all done with the chaos….HI! My name is Lexi! lol

  698. tristen Says:

what do you do in the forum?

  699. John Says:

    haha lol

  700. John Says:

I was laughing at Lexi’s comment.

  701. Lexi Says:

you know….i think this was a super cool thing Brett did. I mean, look! It made us do hard things to uncode the secret! Great job Brett and Alex! You guys continue to amaze me!

oh! and btw, our first well was completed this week in Sudan! =)

  702. Lexi Says:

so Alex, since you are married, are you going to still be really involved with The Rebelution, or go off to become president? =)

  703. John Says:

Yeah, that was definitley hard. Can you imagine how long Alex and Brett worked on this!

  704. tristen Says:

It was pretty fun trying to fiiguer it all out and laghing at ourselves!!! Way to go Brett!!

  705. John Says:

Yeah, that was definitly hard. Can you imagine how long Alex and Brett worked on this!

  706. Lexi Says:

seriously! this was really awesome! lol and it made us look really smart! =D

  707. John Says:

    Uggh. posted twice again. sorry

  708. Lexi Says:

lol well i know one thing…I am NOT waiting here until 10:45pm for Brett to comment. I am no longer in suspence! =)

  709. tristen Says:

I guess for you Lexi, I myself was humbled ny mu own stupidity. ;)

  710. Alesia Says:

    haha Lexi.
Seriously, we need presidents like Alex and Brett.
    Can you imagine the changes?!

  711. John Says:

Can you imagine the looks on people’s faces if we told them that we did all this and we were homeschoolers. lol :)

  712. Alicia Says:

OK I’m not going to sit here at read he next 688 comments, so what was the result of all these?

  713. Lexi Says:

Alesia I totally agree! Brett and Alex, you guys need to run for president! too bad we are all too young to vote, because you’d win in a week

  714. Lexi Says:

    LOL John! haha homeschoolers ROCK!

  715. tristen Says:

lol John! I am homeschooled and still missed the action!

  716. Alesia Says:

    ^^^^^^ Home schooled ^_^

  717. Irina H. F. Says:

Okay, so I ve read the rest of the comments after my last one, and I got a feeling that Brett is probably going to put another clue up here. Just a feeling. ;)

  718. John Says:

Seriously, as a homeschooler, I could get up early and finish my work before lunch. :)

  719. tristen Says:

@ Irina: He better not (but I wouldnt be surprized!)

  720. Jamie Says:

20 29 is the date the new book(twenty 29) is going to be released? or is it the age of the 2 runig the program? 9/22/10

  721. John Says:

Knowing Brett, he probably is. lol

  722. tristen Says:

Homeschoolers Rock! ( homeschoolers like me lol!)

  723. Lexi Says:

oh no I hope not!!!! Ive got two tests tomorrow! LOL

  724. Lexi Says:

he did say it was the LAST CLUE….so it must be!

  725. tristen Says:

    lol Lexi! Me 2!!

  726. John Says:

People are coming over tomorrow night. I hope we’re not still solving it then. lol

  727. Irina H. F. Says:

It’s the first three letters to the last clue, so it is possible that he might put another one out there. :D

  728. Alesia Says:

    Well I’m out fellow Rebelutionaries.
I’ll be back tonight (same time Brett mysteriously popped up last night) to see the new damage =)

    God Bless you all!
    In HIM
    Alesia

  729. John Says:

Lexi: He could mean the last clue for today. :)

  730. John Says:

    @ Alesia: See you tonight

  731. Lexi Says:

*moans* I mean…YAY do hard things!! *head drops* I cant take another eyes glued to screen night!

  732. tristen Says:

See you Alesia! I have to get off to. I cant be back on for four hours - try not to post too many comments I have to dig through!

  733. John Says:

    Lexi: haha lol

  734. Lexi Says:

bye Tristen! i hope you won’t have to sift through 200 more comments when you get back!

  735. Lexi Says:

i have this feeling that at 7pm we are going to have a mass of people back on here to see what new things happened today…I feel so bad! they are going to have to look at 600+ new comments!

  736. C.R. Says:

Oh no, people are already talking about the next clue!! I haven’t even recovered from today’s epic decodings….

  737. John Says:

    Talk to you later Tristen!

  738. John Says:

    @C.R. haha

  739. John Says:

So if he does give us another clue, what do you think it will be?

  740. Lexi Says:

C.R ~ I dont think there will be any more clues…we’ve figured everthing out! But, you never know with the Harris duo ;)

  741. Lindsay Says:

Well I am going to be checking in every little while:) But I just don’t know what to post anymore:( If anybody gets anymore ideas I’ll be back in a while!

  742. Lexi Says:

it would probably be like finding out the time of the TED thing at The Cove lol

what else is there to uncode? ohhh I hope nothing!

  743. John Says:

So what was the deal with andre dignelli and andre palmer. which one was it?

  744. Lexi Says:

well, first we had to find dignelli to get to palmer which got us to TED =) I know….confusing…I came in late this afternoon and had to catch up fast! we got the 3-lettered word and everything clicked for everybody from there. =)

  745. John Says:

So is TED run by Christians?

  746. Camden McAfee Says:

After only seven hundred and fourty three comments, I finished the mystery! I did almost all of it on my own, I only wish I had been here when it was epicly figured out!

    Camden

  747. Lexi Says:

no, I dont think so…the TED website is this http://www.ted.com

we are thinking that TED gave Brett and Alex an award for “their wish to change the world” in 2010. We are not exactly sure what TED stands for, if its Christian or not, at least I dont because I have not really looked at it much.

Someone earlier found the date they would be doing the Twenty29 TED thing at the Cove on the TED website. Pretty cool!

  748. Lexi Says:

hey Camden! nice to see you on here again! =) yup, it was pretty epic when everybody all at once was saying I GOT IT!!!!

  749. John Says:

    Lexi: Interesting
Camden: Can you imagine all the reading that Brett will have to do?

  750. Lexi Says:

http://www.jumps4joyblog.blogspot.com go check it out! I started an organization working with Compassion and The Water Project to help people in 3rd World countries!

our first well was completed last week in Sudan! God is so amazing! <

  751. Lexi Says:

Brett’s gotta go through 750 comments….well more than that when he gets back on here…crazy!

  752. John Says:

Yeah, everyone said I GOT IT at once and then started asking everybody what they got

  753. John Says:

    Poor Brett! lol

  754. Emily Says:

Wow!!! I got on late this afternoon and was able to follow ALL the posts! Great job, everyone! I tried to work through the clues by myself but wouldn’t have been able to do it without your help. So many of your comments made me laugh! I had a great time vicariously participating in this treasure hunt through you.
Alex and Brett: This hunt was sooooo clever and such fun! How in the world did you come up with this intricate plan? Any tips on how I could do one of my own?
    Awesome job everyone!!!!

  755. Camden McAfee Says:

Sadly, yes, I can imagine all the reading he’ll have to do. =P =D

I have to say, this is getting more epic the deeper you go into it! Also, I think a good point about collaboration can be made, namely, I know there’s NOOOO WAY I would’ve been able to figure out all of that on my own. It’s when you put an army of Rebelutionaries together that things start to happen!

    Camden

  756. John Says:

    what does vicariously mean?!?

  757. John Says:

we were an army all right haha :)

  758. Lexi Says:

lol I agree, it was very funny on here at some points…everybody was saying how we needed to figure it out, and then somebody would bring up this totally random topic. =D

but, I think it was awesome how we all worked together to figure this out. Don’t you?

  759. Lexi Says:

*light bulb* Brett probably did this on purpose (obviously) to go along with their collaboration theme for 20:29! clever clever

  760. John Says:

Yep. It was definitly an example of collaboration and teamwork!

  761. John Says:

Alex and Brett are very clever lol

  762. Trey Edwards Says:

Sorry to dissapoint, but it can’t be an award given by TED to the Harris bros. Only one award will be given away this year, and it has already been given to a “Jamie Oliver”. They could be hosting a TEDx event, but I find that unlikely as I see no evidence anywhere that TED is a Christian organization.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TED_(conference)

  763. John Says:

I wonder what relationship TED has to Twenty29 then.

  764. Lexi Says:

thanks Trey! We know its something with TED, just were not 100% on the award part…but like I said, I didnt look at the website much =)

  765. John Says:

    Anybody have any ideas?

  766. John Says:

Funny, this is the only blog I’ve heard of that holds three-day long conversations in the comment section. Who needs a forum? :)

  767. Lexi Says:

    i know really!

  768. John Says:

    altogether, we’ve posted 1,308 comments. I checked. :)

  769. Morgan Says:

I have no idea! but hopefully we will find out soon!!!!!

  770. Lexi Says:

    Morgan, here are the facts

    Location: The Cove (North Carolina)
    Verse: Proverbs 20:29
    picture: Billy Graham
    3-letter word: ted
    TED: http://www.ted.com
Twenty29: a TED event on August 29th for Rebelutionaries……and more on that to come!

  771. Alesia Says:

Lexi: I actually saw on the “Twenty29″ Facebook page that the Goat and cracker were hints of a location, not a name.

They said :”Clarification: This clue (and the other clues) has to do with WHERE Twenty29 is — not WHO it is.”

    =)

  772. John Says:

Are you sure that it’s on Aug. 29th?

  773. Lexi Says:

Alesia: oh I know that! the picture was just confirming that it was at The Cove…it is named after Billy Graham. =)

  774. Lexi Says:

John: I’m not 100% sure, but someone said so up above when they looked at the TED events calender.

  775. John Says:

They just “clarified” that to make us think lol

  776. Alesia Says:

ohhhh okay *Smacks head* haha…just call me blonde, I googled it and just saw that now x]

  777. John Says:

Oh. I actually haven’t been to their website yet. that explains it.

  778. John Says:

    Alesia: saw what now?

  779. Lexi Says:

    =D

  780. Alesia Says:

I wonder if it annoys Brett that we are posting so often… O.o
I mean, I’d love to see over 700 comments on my blog, haha…but I wonder what he thinks about it….maybe (Brett if you read this) you could tell us if you expected people to be so excited?? haha

  781. Alesia Says:

John: I googled “The Cove North Carolina” and I saw the Billy Graham Center.

  782. Lexi Says:

guys go check it out! I started an organization that works with The Water Project and Compassion to help people in 3rd World Countries.

our well was just finished last week in Sudan! God is soo good!

    http://thewaterproject.org/community/projects/sudan/kigwo

  783. John Says:

Oh thanks. I get it now. :)

  784. John Says:

haha I wonder how many comments it takes to overload the server.

  785. Sara-Caitrin Says:

ok guys so im going to start my own non-profit oraganization and i thought that being homeschoold would save me time can i get a list of the pros and cons of home schooling id rly apreciate it:)

  786. kimary Says:

i got billy graham. Now what? Is this about mentoring?

  787. John Says:

We’d be glad to give you a list. :)

  788. Sarah Haas Says:

You can read more about what a TED event is here: http://www.ted.com/pages/view/id/351

And here is the link that says there will be a TED event in Asheville on August 29: http://www.ted.com/pages/view/id/348

  789. Alesia Says:

(If you read this) Brett: What I meant to say (lol) was, did you expect people to become so excited over something that was unknown to us? haha…. =D

  790. Lexi Says:

Sara-Caitrin, thats awesome! I started a non-profit org. as well…this server won’t me put up the link to my website, but just click on my name and it will take you there. I work with Compassion and The Water project.

I am homeschooled, and it has been a great benefit to this and other things. I go to a coop with teens my age and see people all of the time, so homeschoolers ARE social. =)

you can do your school whenver you want to, take a day off, and take fun field trips for school that you would never be able to at public school. It also gives you a sense of responsibility because you are doing everything on your own, so you need to be dedicated.

  791. Lexi Says:

errgg I just wrote this long comment and it says it is waiting moderation….grrrr

  792. Kay Morris Says:

Alesia… about that little linky thing… I have NO idea how we got that there…

I am just a moderator there, Stephen is our tech guy. If you want you can either:

    A) Join The Uncommon (we would SO love that!!!) and ask him yourself or

    B) I will ask him and PM you (you are on the Rebelution forum, right?)

Your choice, just let me know!!! Have a great day!!! :D

  793. Irina H. F. Says:

Alesia, it definitely HAS to be The Cove in North Carolina. No way it couldn’t be.

  794. Lexi Says:

this has been so fun today, and i think all of our brains got bigger too! =D

  795. Kay Morris Says:

Unless Brett and Alex are planning on building their own Cove…. hmmmm…. *ponders this new idea* *rules this new idea out as highly improbably*

  796. Kay Morris Says:

correction!!! I meant to say “improbable”.

  797. Sarah P. Says:

WOW!!! So much has happened since I was here this morning!!

Great job everyone! Talk about team work!! :D

Alex and Brett: what a hunt! How long did it take to make it?

I loved that it had horses involved! Horses are my all time fav part of creation! Go equines! ;) And indeed, go homeschoolers! :P

    -Sarah

  798. Lexi Says:

LOL that would be too cool. lets all escape this crazy world and start Rebelution Island

  799. Lexi Says:

i cant wait till Brett sees that we got it! He did such a great job on this

  800. Katie M. age 14 Says:

I guess I don’t spend enough time on the computer. You guys have me lost. Alex and Brett, this better be good or watch out!!!!!

  801. John Says:

What time is it where Brett is anyway? I have to get off at 10:00. I’m in Central time.

  802. Claire R Says:

Wow, that was really complicated! I can’t believe I solved everything AND read through all 700+ comments! Way to go Brett in keeping us entertained all day! (Next time, do this during Christmas break or something so we don’t procrastinate in our school work, k? :D)

  803. Lindsay Says:

I am so excited to find out the in-depth details of Twenty29.org! Can’t wait!!

  804. John Says:

Claire: Amen. This certainly didn’t help with diligence in my schoolwork. :)

  805. Lindsay Says:

When do you guys think Brett will be on? I hope sooner then he was on last night:)

  806. John Says:

    This is the eight-hundreth comment.

  807. John Says:

    Before the screen refreshed.

  808. Irina H. F. Says:

One good thing about this scavenger hunt: it’s caused a Facebook semi-fast for me. And that is saying something. :D

  809. Alesia Says:

Kay Morris: I wouldn’t mind joining actually, I’ll do that soon. =)

  810. Hannah Leary Says:

Wow! I’m the 800 comment! Good job solving the last clue everyone! I just go on and wasn’t about to read through all the comments but I got the main idea. It sounds exciting so far.

  811. Hannah Leary Says:

Opps. I guess I wasn’t the 800 comment but all the other comments before weren’t loaded yet.

  812. Alesia Says:

    AHHH!!! *Jumping up and down*
I just saw that Alex and Brett are going to be Canada twice this year! *Screams*
Unfortunately the closest one to us is Surrey…which is about 3 hrs away from here. =(
Hopefully we can afford to go…ferries are so expensive!

Brett/Alex: How much do your tickets cost each?

  813. John Says:

Actually Hannah, sorry, but you’re the 805th.

  814. John Says:

Now when will they come to Houston? :(

  815. Sarah P. Says:

    Sara Caitryn,

Biggest pros in my opinion are a flexible schedule and learn at your own pace. And you get to pick your curriculem, one you can understand better or that supports your beliefs (ie Christian). My biggest con is that when I don’t have a due date I have no motivation to do school. X) You don’t see friends every single day. And some subjects my mom can’t teach so I go to a tutorial 2 days a week. But I don’t consider that a con, I enjoy it a lot! :)

    Good luck with your nonprofit!

    Sarah

  816. Hannah Leary Says:

yeah, I know, the screen takes too long to load! When is Brett coming on?

  817. Sara-Caitrin Says:

    thanks john! :)

  818. John Says:

I don’t know, but I hope its soon.

  819. Sara-Caitrin Says:

o and thanx sarah are the tutorials online or just at your local high school?

  820. John Says:

Welcome sars. What is the name of the non-profit?

  821. John Says:

    Sorry. typo. *Sara*

  822. John Says:

I think that the pros of homeschooling would be this: not having to wait for other students to be finished, but setting your own pace; one-on-one instruction from mom; and the freedom to choose your own curriculum and off-days. I can’t think of any cons.

  823. Sara-Caitrin Says:

well its not up and running yet but its called chains for change. I hope to work with the pandora company to make a braclet that incorperates both the pandora company and my organization other non-profits can then submit a charm design for the pandora company to make when their charm is sold the charity will recive a set precent of the profit.
I have alredy e-maild the general manager of the north american pandora company but he is currently ou tof his office so he wont be able to get back to me until after the 25th.

  824. John Says:

that sounds neat. i assume that the pandora company is a jewlery company.

  825. John Says:

Hey Kay. Could you moderate my comment?

  826. Hannah Leary Says:

Okay, I have to get off., but wil be back tomarrow.

  827. Sara-Caitrin Says:

o and thanx for that list :)

  828. John Says:

    Welcome. I LOVE homeschooling.

  829. Sara-Caitrin Says:

have you gone to public school?

  830. John Says:

See y’all later tonight probably. I gotta go squeeze 25-30 lemons and make lemonade. bye

  831. Sara-Caitrin Says:

    hahaha have fun

  832. John Says:

Sara: no, i haven’t but have friends that have. I have heard of what it is like and couldn’t imagine liking it. And no, i dont have a problem with socialization. :) I love to talk!

  833. Julia Says:

whatcha guys been up to since i left?

  844. Sara-Caitrin Says:

hahaha me too!! I dont like public school either. There is way too much drama. I want to be homeschooled, but my dad work and my mom dosnt think she can teach me anything because she dosnt have a degree. Can you homeschool yourelf, just by using the text books?

  845. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

Wow… since I got off after we finished the puzzle at about 1:30 PST there have been about 400 more comments! :-o

  846. Lexi Says:

hey guys! I am back (again)

what is this thing with the red now? did I miss something? =)

  847. Lexi Says:

sara, I am a homeschooled sophmore and LOVE IT. You can def teach yourself or go to a coop (a school type thing for homeschooled kids usually once a week) where you take your main classes and then do all of the work at home. its pretty awesome! =D

  848. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

I think they just were wondering why some people’s names were red

  849. Lexi Says:

ok, does anybody know someone who can moderate these comments because it keeps moderating each comment I post on here!!!! its getting frustrating! =(

  850. Lexi Says:

    oh, thanks Nick! =)

  851. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

it was doing that to me when we were trying to figure out the clue

  852. Rebeca Says:

I think it is so funny that people are now just talking about other stuff on here. It’s almost like we don’t want all this fellowship to end. Or we are all eagerly waiting to find out the details about this thing. :)

  853. Lexi Says:

Rebeca: haha I think it is a mixture of both =)

  854. Anissa Says:

    I think it’s both Rebecca. :)

  855. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

I don’t want it to end *wipes tears from eyes

  856. Lexi Says:

ok, lets take a poll….who went to a Rebelution tour this past year?

comment “I” or the place it was at! I went to the D.C one in Sept.!

  860. Daniel W Says:

Now where are you guys at now? I see you’ve made a lot of progress

  861. Anissa Says:

  862. Daniel W Says:

  863. Michelle =D Says:

    3 letter word: ted
    TED: http://www.ted.com

  865. Anna Joy Says:

@Sara regarding your mom teaching you…I’ve been homeschooled for…many…years now, and my mom doesn’t really teach me..at all. :) There are enough resources out there for homeschoolers that parents really don’t have worry about that anymore….unless they want to! :)

  866. Lexi Says:

LOL Michelle! mine was too!!! it was so long and perfect and *sobs* it didnt go!!!!!

  867. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

    Southern CA (can’t remember where)

  868. Michelle =D Says:

is there a secret length limit i don’t know about that activates a automatic moderation?

  869. Lexi Says:

Daniel, we found out the location, the event, and when it is…..my comments keep going into the moderated list for some reason, so all of the facts that I wrote neatly for you are not here anymore….=(

  870. Lexi Says:

Michelle: no..once mine was super short and it just did it….so I have nooo clue!

  871. Kay Morris Says:

Anissa!!! Oh my goodness!!! That is the name of my main character!!! I thought I made that name up!!! I guess not! It is a pleasure to meet you!!! Are you on the forums??? (please excuse my total craziness… that is the first time I have EVER seen that name other than by my own hand)….

Also, Alesia, WE WILL BE SO HAPPY TO HAVE YOU JOIN!!!!!!!!! We LOVE new members. All of you feel free to check it out!! Just click my name. It’s the third most awesome forum ever!!! (the first being Holy Worlds, the second being the Rebelution) (please all Uncommoners… forgive me)

John, I mod over at a different forum, called The Uncommon. To get there and check it out (started by and run by [for the most part] Rebelutionaries) just click my name…. :D

  872. Michelle =D Says:

Anaheim, CA in Southern California!! Yay! i was there and it was sooooooooo good.
    Very fun!! i loved it!!

  873. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

    The Uncommon forum is amazing!

  874. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

That’s where it was… Anaheim. I was there too!

  875. Lexi Says:

I know…the Do Hard Things tours are amazing!!! It was so great and I got to meet Alex and Brett! way cool! =)

the getting saved part was unbelieveble! I got to bring a total stranger to Christ! God was just totally inside that place.

  876. Irina H. F. Says:

Brett, where are you? Did we (as in everyone else, besides me, who was sweating over this thing all afternoon and into the night) get the clue right? Or are you going to tack up another clue right before midnight? :D

  877. Anissa Says:

Kay: Haha! No, I’m not on the forums. And I’ve never seen/heard of anyone with my name before except from the documentary my parents got my name from. :)

  878. Michelle =D Says:

Yay Nick! another california person!! isn’t this rain storm a joke!?

  879. Lydia D. Says:

Wow good job figuring it out! I finally finished reading all the comments. I’m wondering though how does all this fit in with older people teaching younger?

  880. Lexi Says:

*yawns* Brett plllleeeasseee dont post late again! we are all sooo excited about this! =D

  881. Daniel W Says:

Thanks for thinking of me Lexi

  882. Lexi Says:

how awful is that earthquake in Haiti guys? it makes you just want to hop on a plane over there to do something….

  883. Michelle =D Says:

Lydia D: i think that is what everyone is wondering!! ;D there are some pretty interesting theories though. ;D

  884. Lexi Says:

Daniel: your welcome! sorry it didn’t post!

  885. Lydia D. Says:

I noticed! But I’m thinking that TED has nothing to do with it

  886. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

Yes it is…. Are you in SoCa?

  887. Daniel W Says:

I was totally amazed at the conference in chicago about 20 people stood up and declarde their faith in Christ. It is an amazing feeling when I’m with teens my own age…that are following Christ and have the same mentality as me and other Christians.

  888. Kate Says:

Wow guys…I just joined in on the “treasure hunt” this evening and that had to be the most fun I’ve had in a long time!!!

  889. Kailyn Says:

Wow. *smacks forehead* I get an email from The Rebelution about Twenty29, but have no idea what it is, don’t go on the website for a while, and then I come on today, check my email, see the post with the clues in it, and get really excited (ooh, we get to solve puzzles?), only to read through 700+ comments and find out that all of you geniuses have figured it out before I even knew anything about it! *coughs loudly* LOL, boy do I feel slow. Guess that will teach me to come on WAY more often! xD

Great job, guys! Congrats to all the brilliant sleuths who decoded, unscrambled, searched, and searched some more to come up with the answer to a really difficult puzzle! And thanks to Brett and Alex for posting such a cool mystery! Although I didn’t really do anything, I got loads of entertainment (an hour at least) of reading people’s comments as they began to go insane with the agony of trying to figure everything out. Sounds like a great, awesome event! Can’t wait to say what Brett says!

@Sara-Caitrin: I’ve been homeschooled all my life, and in my state, generally the parent who’s going to do the majority of the teaching must have a degree for the “home school” to be officially considered a private school. But it might vary from state to state; I wouldn’t really know. :)

*wonders when Brett will come online, and also wonders if right now, his eyes are burning out of their sockets from staring at the computer screen for so long, and if he’s glancing to the sidebar only to realize with desperation that he’s not even halfway to the end* Lol

  890. Lexi Says:

well, we think TED does have something to do with it because someone (i forget who) found Brett and Alex on their even calender for The Cover in August (not sure what year…)

  891. Daniel W Says:

    Nooo problem lexi.
AS for the earthquake in Haiti we know missionaries there it was very destructive. There was another quake on Tuesday 6.5 magnitude.

  892. Kate Says:

@Kailyn - you summed up my feelings exactly! : ) haha. we’ll be slow together! haha

  893. Lexi Says:

LOL Kailyn! haha I feel bad for Brett….we should all stop posting for 2 minutes! =D

  894. Rebeca Says:

You guys are right it has to be both (fellow shipping and waiting). :)

  895. Lexi Says:

yeah..I heard about the aftershock…its just terrible. =(

  896. Anissa Says:

there was a 4.6 and a 4.5 earthquake today in Haiti

  897. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

@Lexi: Really? Wow…. guess we were right this afternoon :-D

  898. Lexi Says:

well that 2 minute comment boycotting thing didnt work out so well. haha

  899. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

    Wow. I just can’t believe these aftershocks… It’s devistating

  900. Kay Morris Says:

Anissa… that is awesome! Maybe I did make it up, but so did someone else… =D I am so pleased to meet you!!!

    Nick Kjeld…. I agree!!!

  901. Lydia D. Says:

@Lexi-you sure? I saw that link but didn’t follow it. Maybe I should……

@Daniel W.- I was at the D.C. conference and more people than I could count stood up!

  902. Daniel W Says:

We gotta’ pray for the people in Haiti guys. Haiti is the if one of the poorest countries in the world, and now, with this. It will be a slow and hard road ahead of the Haitian people.

  903. Lexi Says:

Anissa: seriously??? oh my goodness thats horrible! man that is just so bad…..

Nick: REALLY!!! lol i know! it makes you want to jump up and dance!

  904. Lydia D. Says:

yeah the earthquake was destructive. My family trying to raise money to send to Samaritan’s Purse to use for relief efforts

  905. Pete S. Says:

oooookkk *googled eyed* You may think me crazy, but I just read through aaaallllll of these comments in one sitting. WOW! Not a smart decision after studying on the computer today…my eyes feel like they are going to just dry up! Any who, You guys are crazy! I would of never figured that out! Like EVER! So it sounds like there is still several ideas, of which we will just have to see which one it is? Correct? Well atleast the specifics…I may not have everything figured out yet from reading them all…Any way Brett please hurry up !!!!!!!

  906. Kailyn Says:

@Kate: Lol, I feel so happy that I’m not the only slow one! (And “slow” isn’t really a word to describe it - I mean, these people figured it out in one day! I guess, instead, we should consider them insanely fast or something. Haha)

  907. Lexi Says:

Daniel: I agree whole heartedly! Guys lets stop and pray right now all together!

Lydia: I’m not sure where that comment is so I couldnt go back and check….
I WAS AT D.C TOO!!!!! WASN”T THAT AMAZING?!?!?!

  908. Kate Says:

@Kailyn - TRUE! I only wish I would’ve gotten an earlier start and been a part of all of this instead of reading all of it in one sitting!! my eyes are killing me! …so much for homework… haha

  909. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

*does amazing dance…. Rebelutionaries can do anything when they collaborate is the lesson to learn! :-D

  910. Rebeca Says:

Lexi: Did they see Alex and Brett or did the just see Ashville? Because I thought that date was right after a DHT conference. I could be totally wrong though. I haven’t really looked at it.

  911. Michelle =D Says:

    900th COMMENT!!!!

  912. Kailyn Says:

@Pete: Same here! Welcome to the club of people who will soon lose their eyesight, lol

@Lexi: Haha, I know… but we’re all too excited to do that! *pities Brett* Lol!

  913. Lexi Says:

    guys…lets do something hard!

Everybody take 3 minutes *yes I said it* and stop commenting to pray for the people of Haiti. I think Daniel had a great idea.

  914. Lydia D. Says:

Um, guys I followed the link to the supposed conference thing on the TED website and it doesn’t say anything about the Rebelution. Unless I missed something somewhere.

  915. Kailyn Says:

@Kate: Totally! I’m not going to get a wink of sleep tonight! I’ll try and prepare myself for the annoying realization when I wake up at 7:00 (not even remembering ever having pressed the snooze button) that spending uncounted hours on the computer before bedtime is NOT recommended for one’s health. xD

  916. Kailyn Says:

@Lexi, that’s a great idea! I’m going to do that right now.

  917. Lexi Says:

Lydia: hmm not sure…i guess we all are just going to have to wait for Brett again. *eyes start to burn*

  918. Sara-Caitrin Says:

    dito!!!!!

  919. Kate Says:

@Lexi- Awesome idea, thanks! just imagine the prayers that were just lifted up to our heavenly father!!

  920. Lexi Says:

:) i think we often forget that prayer is the best thing we can do….its seems so simple to us people who always hear that you gotta do it yourself. God doesn’t need help, He just needs faith.

  921. Lydia D. Says:

    Going to pray right now!
BTW- Lexi, Where were you sitting? (You can answer when you’re done praying ;))

  922. Lexi Says:

I was sitting on the right balcony (if you are looking from the stage) near the bridge type thing that went down to the stage.

  923. Kay Morris Says:

Lexi- I must say, yes, it is hard, but it is SO much fun!!! We should do some kind of game on here while we wait…..

Okay… Lexi, you start a story with one sentence. I will say a second sentence. Everyone can add sentences after that.

The rules are (if ya’ll want to play, that is):

    1) You can only post one sentence at a time
    2) You cannot post until two minutes after your last one
    3) Make it FUN!!!
    4) Be nice.

What do ya’ll say??? Want to play??? :D

  924. Lexi Says:

if you actually look at the promo video for their new book, my friend and i are the ones who high five Brett as he is walking by…im in the white shirt.

  925. Kailyn Says:

I sat on my bed and prayed for 3-4 minutes just now, and it uplifted me a lot. But I just feel so helpless and I HATE that feeling. What can a young person like me do to help people so far away? It would seem that to help them one would have to be a doctor or know things about medicine or have connections… I feel so nothing-ish, if you know what I mean.

I see those poor children on the news who’ve lost their parents so suddenly, and in an instant, they have to mature well beyond their years. I saw an 11-year-old girl who had heard from someone that her mother was dead, but didn’t know anything about what had happened to her father. What would I do if something like that happened to me?? I would have no clue how to react, but this girl was smiling politely at the camera and carrying on a normal conversation, whereas I would be distressed and crying, not in ANY condition to talk to ANYONE. How can someone cope with such a loss, at such a young age?

It strikes me how much responsibility these children and teens have in other parts of the world, and how they are expected to live up to it. I mean, what would I do if I were responsible for taking care of my younger siblings, finding shelter and food for them, and keeping them safe, all the while living on one meal a day? It’s incomprehensible!! I just pray that God would be with them, and if there’s any way that I personally could help, that he would show me it and let me be willing to do whatever I can. That’s some of us can do, really. The power of faithful prayer is so much more than we realize sometimes. I totally agree with you, Lexi. :)

  926. Camden M. Says:

Ahhh, prayer! Can you imagine the impact teens would have, not if they did hard things, not if they partnered with older people (although these are great!), but if they prayed fervantly for their world. Can you imagine the impact if these 900 comments became 900 prayers? Increadable…

  927. Lexi Says:

Once there was a caterpillar named Theodore P. Yacht.

  928. Brett Harris Says:

  929. Lizzy Says:

@Lexi- That’s cool. I was at DC too. Were you one of the volunteers?

  930. Kay Morris Says:

Can you give us the link to the promo video?

  931. Lexi Says:

I was just thinking that too Camden! wow that would be amazing…you know, teens really can change the world, its just that we make it so much harder than it really is. we put ourselves down.

  932. Lexi Says:

BRETT!!!!!!! YAY YOU HAVE RETURNED!! wait…did you say, “another clue” *dies*

  933. Kay Morris Says:

BRETT JUST COMMENTED!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for not taking forever, buddy!!! ;)

  934. Kailyn Says:

    @Lexi + Camden, I agree totally.

Brett posted — woo hoo! Again, great job, guys!! *thumbs up*

  935. Irina H. F. Says:

@Kailyn: Don’t feel bad for missing out on the scavenger hunt. I really didn’t figure out anything, especially on today’s portion. I just read through everyone’s comments and saw that they head figured it out. I remain convinced, however, that Brett is going to put another clue up. ;)

  936. Kay Morris Says:

Lexi, are interested in playing a little game while we wait?

  937. Lydia D. Says:

So are you guys doing something with the TED conference?

  938. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

Yes!!! We got it right! Good Job Everyone!!!! :-D

  939. Kailyn Says:

Whoa… I missed the *another clue* part. So I may be able to participate after all? *crosses fingers hopefully* lol

  940. Lexi Says:

Kay, i tried to do the sentence for your game, but it moderated my comment =( ill try again though!

  941. Camden M. Says:

The sentance game works in theory, but because of the commenting delays, we would probably get twenty stories drifting apart in the first couple sentances.

  942. Michelle =D Says:

YAY! My comment got through the moderation at last!! BRETT!!! YOU ARE SO AWESOME!! ;D

  943. Irina H. F. Says:

OKAY IGNORE MY LAST COMMENT!! I forgot to refresh my screen, and so I missed that Brett had posted a comment. :(

  944. Kay Morris Says:

  964. Kailyn Says:

    @David: Here, lol

  965. Kay Morris Says:

  966. Kate Says:

@Kay I’m EST!!!! I’ve got so much homework I SHOULD do but I can’t get away!!! haha and I wanna know what’s next!

  967. Lydia D. Says:

@Brett- My mom is wondering when you had all this time on your hands to make this up. She says we need to be doing something hard. (aka- cleaning our rooms)

  968. Kay Morris Says:

Awesome!!! Maybe we are the only ones…. that’s fine with me… except it’s earlier where they are all at…. :( more time to wait for them….

  969. Lexi Says:

Kailyn: I have a website for my organization…wont let me put the link up to it though…

but i started it this summer and raised over 3,300 since then. My goal for this year is 2 wells in Africa through the non-profit The Water Project again. I just need more people to get involved. =)

  970. Chelsea McBay Says:

    @David- here

    @Kay- I am in EST

  971. Kailyn Says:

I’m going to get a snack… *eyes the computer suspiciously, and then zooms away, grabbing food in record time and returning within a few seconds* Did I miss anything? Lol

  972. Becca Smith Says:

  973. Kate Says:

  974. Becca Smith Says:

  975. Kay Morris Says:

    LOL…

Lydia: I did that hard thing today thanks to a fellow Rebelutionary, Hannah Marie… we did it together!!! (no, we don’t know each other in person)

Well, Kate… my suggestion is that you bring your homework to the computer and refresh every once in a while… better than nothing…. ;) or you could do a hard thing….

  976. Lexi Says:

Kailyn: WOW you are brave…ive been starving here for the last 2 hours! haha

  977. Rebeca Says:

    @David HERE
@Kay I am also in EST

  980. Kay Morris Says:

so… we have four people in EST and one in PST… this is pretty cool!!! Anyone from out of the North American continent???

  981. Skate Says:

I’m pretty sure I just spent 2 hours reading all these comments and following what you guys have been working so hard on all day. All I can say is…wow. Y’all really should work for the FBI…or put National Treasure out of business!

  982. Kay Morris Says:

    EDIT: 5 EST, 1 PST

  983. John Says:

    I’m here!

  984. Kay Morris Says:

    LOL, Skate!!!

  985. Lexi Says:

David: well, it took a while. I had to find organizations to get behind (the Water Project, Compassion). You got to call people like crazy to get the word out and then start fundraising. The first year is always the hardest, but getting people who want to help can be the toughest….

  986. Rebeca Says:

Lexi and Kailyn: You are so funny. I know where you are coming from. I have been rushing to do chores then running back to the computer.

  987. Lydia D. Says:

@Skate- National Treasure: The Internet Version (lol)

  988. Kailyn Says:

@Lexi: Haha! Although I wouldn’t really consider it a snack… I just grabbed two Hershey Kisses, so I don’t think my health has improved much, lol

And about The Water Project: It sounds really cool! If there was any way for me to get involved, I’d love to!

  989. Kay Morris Says:

John…. as a note… I am not a mod here… I am a moderator on The Uncommon. If you want to check that out, just click on my name.. it’s an awesome forum created by and run by (for the most part) Rebelutionaries…

  990. Bethany-J Says:

Oh wow! I started from the very beginning and figured all of this out by myself! And then I realized as I got to the bottom of the comments that I had really missed most of the excitement as it was happening. Oh well, I had fun and I can’t wait to see what Brett will post next or what Twenty29 is all about!!

  991. Kate Says:

    @Kay I’ve got my book here and I’m reading a chapter then refreshing : ) haha. 16 chapters to go… : /

  992. Lexi Says:

David: well, it took a while. I had to find organizations to get behind . You got to get in touch with people like crazy to get the word out and then start fundraising. The first year is always the hardest, but getting people who want to help can be the toughest….

  993. Skate Says:

@Lydia - Yeah for real! I think it’d be a hit. With all the rebelutionaries anyway.

  994. C.R. Says:

  1000. Kate Says:

    Wow I’m glad I jumped in when I did…almost to 1000!!!!

  1001. Lexi Says:

OH MY GOODNESS IT LET ME POST THE LINK TO THE page that has the first well info on it from The Water Project

Kay: LOL i would SOOO read that book!

  1012. Rebeca Says:

Hey all…this has been very fun & interesting…can’t wait for the next clue!

Kay: I’m from the Dominican Republic and here it’s 10:55 p.m.

  1014. Lydia D. Says:

Kay Morris-But according to Brett there’s more to come! Who knows maybe this will end up being a whole week!

  1015. Kay Morris Says:

  1025. Kailyn Says:

LOL you guys crack me up! I won’t be surprised if a book comes up on Amazon called “The Search of Two Days” — in fact, I’ll buy it! And then, hence Brett’s new clue, another book is written! “The Search of More Than Two Days (Agonizingly written by Kay Morris and about a hundred other people)” LOL

  1033. Camden M. Says:

Being in a book would be cool, but think of it this way– we’ve already broken the Rebelution’s record for the most comments on a single post (as far as I know!)!

    Cam

  1045. Chelsea McBay Says:

    well…according to the dictionary:
an ability or willingness to suppress restlessness or annoyance when confronted with delay:

    according to God:
Patience in one of the fruits of the spirit…

  1046. Kailyn Says:

    @Lydia: The 1000th post prize!! :)

  1053. Kailyn Says:

    Aughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh 10:01 where is he????????????????????

  1056. Camden M. Says:

I’ve written a book with a bunch of friends I’ve never met before– it was really fun!

  1057. Caitlin Says:

    Hello, Sarah-Caitrin!

To check up on the homeschooling laws in your area, I would suggest looking up the website of your state or province. You may also find info on the site of the Home School Legal Defense Association: http://www.hslda.org/Default.asp?bhcp=1
Actually, the HSLDA is a great place to start getting info and encouragement on homeschooling in general!

To add to the perks already shared by others….personally choose curriculum that upholds and defends the God’s Law, as Sarah P. said. Having just started some general studies at a secular college in my city, I cannot begin to express what a blessing it has been to have had an education rooted in the Word/the Christian Worldview. It has given me a firm educational foundation in the Truth and yet also a knowledge of the secular worldviews, so that I can recognize them in my college textbooks, am not deceived by misguided professors – and, I pray, defend the Truth faithfully.

As far as “seeing your friends” and extra-curricular activities go…I’m not sure where you live, but in my city there are several large homeschooling organizations and co-ops where parents can help each other and families have a chance to form friendships with people who are like-minded. Through the homeschooling groups in my area, my siblings, my friends, and I have had opportunities to form/get involved in sports teams, musical theatre groups, choirs, Robotics teams, and even a politically active, leadership-training organization called Teen Eagles. You can go online and search for homeschooling groups in your area - or maybe even start one yourself! You may be suprised by what you find.

The only con of homeschooling that comes to my mind - and my mother had to point it out to me - is that when you homeschool, you don’t really get snow days. :-)

Now, to conclude, I am not saying that homeschooling is absolutely, always God’s plan for each and every family - I know Christian families do not homeschool or are not able to, and I do not consider myself holier because I homeschool and they do not. :-) However, I am joyfully testifying that my Savior has used it as an extraordinary tool in my life to draw me to Himself. :-) I may not always have loved my school work, but I have truly loved my education - all praise be to God!

    May He bless you, sister!

    Caitlin

  1058. Chelsea McBay Says:

    Don’t forget..Brett said *possibly*

  1059. Lizzy Says:

@Everyone- LOL… you guys really are crazy!!!

@Lydia- Of course!!! Everyone will be portrayed as nice (as they all were… except maybe Nick Kjeld… jk ;) )

  1061. Camden M. Says:

  1064. Lexi Says:

“*eats second Hershey Kiss while mesmerized, staring at the screen*

    IT’S 10:00 EST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *faints*”

  1067. Lydia D. Says:

I hope he posts soon! I can’t stand the suspense. My hands are literally shaking!

  1068. Camden M. Says:

  1070. Becca Smith Says:

Haha, I just keep hopping between making dinner and checking for next clue, washing dishes, refresh page! Back and forth!

  1071. Kay Morris Says:

    @Kailynn and Lexi- ya’ll might want to consider psychiatrists… maybe that’s just me… lol jk…. =P

I will have to think on that… We would have to get Brett’s permission, first… then those of us who are here RIGHT now… get to be the main characters… so that’s me, you, Lexi, Kailyn, Camden, Chelsea, Kate, and Rebecca

  1072. Rebeca Says:

Man, I wish we were all really together right now. You guys are cracking me up. :)

  1073. Camden M. Says:

Has anyone else ever gotten the feeling that you’re being watched? More specifically, by a Harris?

  1074. Hayden Fletcher Says:

    I’m from California and it’s only 5 after 7! HA! :D

  1075. Kay Morris Says:

  1076. Lexi Says:

  1078. Kailyn Says:

    *shakes with laughter*

Deep breath. *tries to do yoga, and ends up falling on head while laughing even harder*

  1079. Brett Harris Says:

First of all, we have to say that we are seriously impressed with your sleuthing abilities. We thought this last series of clues would keep you occupied for a few days at least — and it ended up being less than four hours. =P

Michelle’s summary of the hunt is absolutely correct. You guys followed the clues exactly and found everything we hid for you. Great job everyone! We just really hope it didn’t damage your grades too much. We know that we certainly spent way too much time checking back in on your progress. =)

Your prolific commenting has definitely set a blog record. We were hoping that this process would reinforce the importance of collaboration, but even we didn’t expect it to the level that you demonstrated. You all blew us away with your excitement and enthusiasm. Don’t forget this experience — and stay in touch with each other if you can.

We could drag this out and make you figure out exactly WHEN the event is taking place — but that would just be mean. The goal of this hunt was to generate some buzz (and hopefully teach you a few lessons along the way). We’re pretty sure that goal has already been met.

With that said, we are going to give you a special pre-release version of the promo booklet we’ve been passing around to key individuals. The contents are subject to change — but the general concepts are solid. This is the biggest, hardest, most life-changing project we have ever tackled. Our prayer is that it would be a turning point in each of your lives as well.

Welcome to the next chapter of The Rebelution:

YAY! I feel as though the gold at the end of the search is 100% worth the sleuthing. A beautifully wonderful idea!! ;D

  1142. Lexi Says:

  1146. Camden M. Says:

    Likewise with you all!

    Cam

  1147. Karthika Andrew Says:

    Hello.

I tried to look into the twenty29 challenge but other than it is something of a scavenger hunt I do not understand. I tried the link on both firefox and explorer and it just showed a page with stay in the loop and a box for email…

  1148. Lydia D. Says:

    GOODNIGHT REBELUTIONARYS!

  1149. Michelle =D Says:

Oh Alesia! don’t start please!! *still panting from today’s clues*

  1156. Lydia D. Says:

  1157. Rebeca Says:

Well, I am signing off and going to bed (if I can possibly sleep with all of this excitement)
This has been fun. I can’t wait til twenty29!!!!!

Good night all my new friends :)

And thanks again Brett and Alex. You guys are great.

  1158. Kristin Carr Says:

This is very, very exciting! :)

  1159. Alesia Says:

Only 500 Rebelutionaries are attending?!?! *Cries*
    I feel hopeless to get in… =(

  1160. Kay Morris Says:

Alesia, no…. he gave us the answer… just up a bit…. lol

  1161. Camden M. Says:

Time to do my devotions (and as I previously stated to Justin): *Grumbing* I’m reading through Job for my devotions. I don’t think Job ever had to read 1,150 comments! =D

And on that note, I, like Lexi, am hopefully going to quit now… =)

    Camden

P.S. Two end notes of thanks:

    1) Thanks Brett for putting up with this explosion of comments, it was truely a unique and caffeinated experience! =D

    2) Thanks all the Rebelutionaries who posted with me to join me in this crazy experience!

  1162. Kay Morris Says:

Alesia… I know how you feel about getting in!!!

    Welcome to The Uncommon!!!!

  1163. Alesia Says:

*Sigh* yes, because I know there are SO many more Christians out there who are stronger in their faith then I. =(

    Thank you =D

  1164. Sophie Says:

to all of you still on…
that was hilarious!!! I just read it all the way through and it really should be a book (lol) that no one except the people who were on here would find funny! I would laugh so hard–hehe! You guys are great!
And all your group hugs…aren’t you sore yet?
JUST KIDDING! Definitely, collaboration, big time! And such positive comments, I hope the Lord was praised through it all. I totally missed most of it, but it was fun to follow some and read it through.
To you fellow homeschoolers (ditto to all that’s been said about it, it’s the best!) have fun catching up:)

    DEUM DELECTARE!

  1165. Michelle =D Says:

Alesia! don’t give up hope. ;D

it says, “every rebelutionary has a shot to get in” that’s something right?
well, i hope you apply at least!!

and if not, it will be live streamed worldwide to everyone in their homes. OR you could go to a satellite event, which may even be equally amazing, depending on which state you are in/travel to!!?!

I think a satellite event is when a huge group of people watch the screen together, but i may be mistaken.

  1166. Caitlin Says:

Hayden: lol…I think I should have made my last comment more specific - I was watching all evening; not all night. :-) I did take a break for sleeping and such…still, this has been quite an unusual day, and my eyes definately need a break.

  1167. Anissa Says:

I know I’m totally behind now, but I agree with Brett, we should all keep I’m touch!

  1168. Anissa Says:

In* touch. I’m not golf on typing on an itouch xp

  1169. Anissa Says:

    Good* haha

  1170. Nicholas Kjeldgaard Says:

wow there’s a TON of comments!

  1171. Sophie Says:

    Anissa–that’s what the forum’s for:)

  1172. Kay Morris Says:

EVERYONE here should apply for the forums if they aren’t already on… =D

  1173. Lindsey H. Says:

    Awesome!!!
I agree we should keep in touch. (I was on here last night and would’ve been today only I got to public school and then I was at ski club)
That book sounds epic. I love writing so let me know if someone follows through with that!

  1174. Lindsey H. Says:

And I totally understand Brett’s pain of reading all the comments as I just read through every comment made on both posts from this time last night!

  1175. Kay Morris Says:

Lindsey H.- are you on the forums??? If so, I plan on following through… maybe we can co-author… =D

  1176. Michelle =D Says:

AHH!! Nick, why did you change your identity to Nicholas…..hahaha psyching me out.

i tried to post on your blog “encouragements to godliness” but i don’t have a google account….GREAT blog though!! ;D

  1177. Nick Kjeldaard Says:

    Thanks! :-D

  1178. Caitlin Says:

Alesia, (if you are still on) I agree - don’t give up hope! I confess I feel the same way… Just remember this:

All things are possible with God!! If the Lord wants you - or any of us - at this conference, He will make a way. Be encouraged - His “power is made perfect in weakness”! (2 Corinthians 12). And I think our brothers and sisters will agree with me when I say that we all are weak; & in and of ourselves, none of us is more deserving than anyone else to go to the Cove. As followers of Christ, we know that all merit, all faith, all glory goes to Him who set us free. Now, there will still be 500 Rebelutionaries chosen…and the Lord knows who they will be…but that doesn’t mean He loves the rest of us less. He just has a different plan with different timing for different people - and it will be good, because He is good. :-)

Also…if you and I aren’t chosen, we won’t have to miss the conference. :-) We can still see through the wonders of modern technology, and join our dear friends there in spirit and in prayer! We could set up Rebelutionanry watch parties all around the world!

Whoever is chosen…perhaps we should all be praying for them - starting now. The repercussions of this conference have the potential to be HUGE…can you imagine the possibilities of how the Lord may use it, and what an impact it may have? Lord, whatever it is, whomever it is, Soli Deo Gloria!

  1179. Irina H. F. Says:

Buenas noches, amigos! My computer is going to be turned off for a long time (well, till sometime tomorrow) just so I can recover my brain after this scavenger hunt. Bye! ;)

  1180. Caitlin Says:

everyone, sorry for the lengthy comments. I suppose my lack of commenting the last 24 hours is all spilling out at once. :)

  1181. Alesia Says:

Caitlin: Very true. =) Thank’s. And I shall be praying for the 500 blessed winners ^_^

  1182. Kay Morris Says:

    Irina- SAME HERE!!! Au Revoir!!!!

  1183. Pete S. Says:

Just a *side note. I saw talk about who is on the Forum? I’m on there, can’t spend a lot of time due to my High School right now, but I’m on every once and awhile. Same name as here.

P.S. Incase any one is wondering why I’m on at 12:30 a.m. I’m waiting for my parents to get home. They had a church meeting (My dad’s the pastor). Sent the little kids to bed and am now waiting on them to get home! Don’t ask why I told you all that, I guess plain boredom! How much longer till you get home??

  1184. Anissa Says:

Kay: Nice to meet you too!

And nice to talk with everyone else! I have to leave now! Be back in a few hours, maybe

  1185. Anissa Says:

if anyone reads this, that last message was supposed to sent a looong time ago.

  1186. Meg Says:

WOW!!! I go to bed in Germany, wake up, and find THIS! Incredible! Thank you, Brett and Alex, this is so much bigger than I thought it would be (although you did tease us dreadfully). And I’m so excited about this whole conference thing… I hope I’ll be back in America by then. It took me a long time to comb through the comments, so maybe I missed it… but when are the lucky 500 to be selected? And what do we have to do to get picked?

  1187. Amy A. Says:

    Alex and Brett,

I just wanted to say WOW! Thanks for the project preview!
I just downloaded & reviewed it, and I would absolutely love to get involved! Just the possibility of attending such an event is so exciting I’m going to have a hard time falling asleep tonight! I really believe this event will be life-changing for many people, as well as impact the world for Christ in a mighty way, as a result of the communication of amazing ideas and the networking/connections that will be made there.
I will be keeping you guys and the project in prayer, and I would love to involved in any way I can.

    Many Blessings,
    Amy A.

  1188. Lindsey H. Says:

Kay- Yes I am on the forums!!!!

  1189. Sarah Beth Says:

Hey guys I am way behind. Please update me on everything you have found up until now.

  1190. Lindsey H. Says:

    Sara Beth:
From Michelle: Here is a summary of this page of clues and the information found:
Fact: Andre is a French name meaning “manly”
Fact: Erand was misspelled in the blog post.
    Fact: Erand re-arranged spells Andre.

Fact: Typing ‘andre’ into therebelution.com/twenty29/______.jpg results in a valid page.
Fact: This page consists of a cipher.
Fact: Three words are in a light red box.
Fact: These words are Andre Animal Power.

Fact: Googling Andre Animal Power results in a website called animalpowerfielddays.org.
Fact: Typing ‘animalpowerfielddays’ into therebelution.com/twenty29/____________________.jpg results in a valid page.
Fact: This results in a word search.
Fact: After completing the word search, the remaining letters create a phrase.
Fact: This phrase is “Look to previous years for a gallery of wisdom”.

Fact: On andre’s website, animalpowerfielddays dot org , there is a link that says Previous Years.
Fact: Clicking on this results in option for 2007 or 2008.
Fact: Clicking 2008 Photo Gallery results in several pictures.

Fact: Andre is not in the first three pictures.
Fact: The fourth picture Andre is shown. Count 3 photos down from the first one of Andre, and the title is Andre Palmer Tedding
Fact: This is the seventh photo down.

Fact: Typing the first three letters, ted, into therebelution.com/twenty29/___.jpg results in a valid page.
Fact: This page says “Google is your friend, TED.”
Fact: Googling TED results in the website ted.com

    Opinion: This was way fun!
Inference: Hosting a TED conference at the cove on Aug 29th 2010?

So I hope this summary helps anybody who just joined in the conversation, anybody who is confused, or anybody that doesn’t want to read over 800 comments.

And go up a little bit, Brett posted a comment at about 10 last night. We finished the hunt!!!

  1191. Sarah Beth Says:

  1200. Daniel W. Says:

  1201. John Says:

Good Morning. I took me forever to read all those comments posted since I posted last night. This hunt was awesome! Thanks Brett and Alex!!

  1202. Lindsay Says:

  1203. Autumn H. Says:

I regretted getting off last night but I had too many things to do (even when home-schooled). I just finished reading through all the comments and they were really funny. Thanks Brett for doing this. It was a lot of fun even though I wasn’t on for most of the time.

1208. The Rebelution Breaks Ground « Young Heretics Club Says:

[...] solve the mystery yourself (and read through 1700 comments), then please stop reading and go to the twenty29 post. If you would rather get a summary in just a few paragraphs, then read [...]

  1209. Rebecca Says:

WOW reading the paragraph was a lot easier! glad you all are trying to make us think for ourselves and starting this conference! it founds great!

( I am 15) and have gone through abuse my hole life. It makes it harder for me, but it also meen more.
Whats relly cool is an hour before i got the call. I got the book “Do Hard Things”. I started reading right after the call and cryed for about 4 nights. I know that Gods calling me to do this. I have been to the cove it is a great place. To Brett and Alex, I might of been misinformed but you might want to talk to the staff at the cove. I looked into it for a youth retreat in the past and was told that certain ages are not permitted to stay on the premise. Like I said I hope I was misinformed.

Twenty29 sounds great. I am marking it on the calender and we will be in contact about watching the broadcast over Internet.

  1234. Lexi Says:

Holly: wow thats great! my prayers are with you as you make these decisions. Give everything over to God, even the things you are fighting with most and say…I don’t want to fight this battle, I want You to.

  1250. Caitlin Says:

    Holly ~

It sounds like this is a pretty big opportunity that could impact the lives of many people who have been hurting as you have. It also sounds like this triggers some very painful memories for you. My heart hurts for you.

You said that you know the Lord is calling you to do this. Let me encourage you that when our Father calls us to do hard things, He doesn’t ask us to do them alone. Jesus promised to never leave us…He will never leave your side the whole time! He loves you more than life itself and wants to banish your fears and anxieties. If only I had words to tell you how passionately He loves you!

On a more practical side ~ nervousness can be a helpful tool, actually! It keeps you alert and focused. But please do not be anxious! Remember that your listeners are people like you - people who are deeply concerned about this issue and who want to change it. They will care about what you have to say, and will be impressed by your passion and willingness to speak on a topic that is painful to you. I just took a public speaking class at college, and was told repeatedly that the number one key to being a good public speaker is a strong desire to communicate your main point with your audience. Don’t worry ~ you will be fine. :)

I will be praying for you!

    Your sister,
    Caitlin

ok: a HUGE shout out to the Harris brothers (but mostly Brett…his posts have been the ones that have been the ones that put us out of our misery) for doing this. God has used you guys in tremendous ways…THANK YOU!

also thank you sooo much to all the rebelutionaries who have solved all this together and have been posting comments! you all rock!!

    God bless you all!

  1277. Lindsey H. Says:

    Amen Julia!

  1278. Molly Says:

Wow, that was absolutely, ridiculously incredible.

I just read through ALL the posts and did the search as if I was figuring it out along with everyone who figured it out yesterday! I am seriously beginning to wonder if The Rebelution could turn into some sort of youth spy agency. ;)

Anyways, a conference sounds so cool! And kudos to Brett and Alex for thinking this up. I mean, goodness, how long did it take to create this whole thing? :D

  1279. Betsy Says:

The upcoming twenty29 conference sounds incredible. Even if I’m not a direct part of the actual conference, I can’t wait to be a part of the excitement and impact it has!

    Grace and Peace :D

  1280. Kristianna Says:

Yes! Thank You Brett and Alex!

  1281. Lauren Ashley Says:

The twenty29 conference is an amazing idea, I especially love that young people will share their ideas and testimonies as well!

Maybe this will be the opportunity our generation needs to form strong bridges between young and old, the wise and strong. I think the neatest thing about this whole idea is that so many young people will walk away with personal friendships with older, wiser, proven warriors for Christ. And by the younger generation “coming out” so to speak, and sharing their ideas, the older generation will be able to see where their wisdom and particular giftings would be most useful - matching up people with similar callings!

I’m definitely going to be watching all this closely!

  1282. Esther Says:

Thank you Kay! I think i’ve got it now. =D

  1283. Lexi Says:

Kailyn: thanks for commenting on Jumps 4 Joy! Wasn’t sure how to answer your question so I am answering it here….

you can help our by spreading the word or donating or just holding a small fundraiser with your youth group or something like that. It doesnt have to be big at all. =)

  1284. Kay Morris Says:

No, problem, Esther!!! Isn’t it awesome?

  1285. Kailyn Says:

Lexi: Okay, thanks! I appreciate it! I hope that I’ll be able to help you with this in the future; I’ll let you know if I start a fundraiser or something, and we can discuss it together!

    God bless you! =)

  1286. Lindsay Says:

    I can’t wait for Twenty29 to begin!!!

  1287. Kate D. Says:

Hey guys! I just got done reading almost all of these–wow! You guys are so smart to figure it all out. =D (I tried to figure it out in my head but when I got stumped I just kept reading lol) Great job! Can’t wait to read what Brett says when he gets on and sees all the 1000 comments and tells us if we’re right!!

Oh, and I can’t forget to say that I think that Twenty29 is a GREAT idea! This is a fun, clever way to introduce it to us, Alex and Brett!

  1288. Katie M. age 14 Says:

This is so cooooooool. I think the Harris are safe. This is what we were hoping for.

  1289. Jeneva Says:

You all are hilarious!!!! I enjoyed reading all your comments! (It took about an hour of skimming!)

Brett, That’s a GREAT idea!!! And the suspense was well worth it!

  1290. Tayler H. Says:

Okay so he said google is your friend right?

Well I googled “Ben Manly” and then it showed up “Did you mean Ben Manley?” So he said sorry i spelled it wrong right?

Thats about all ive gotten on this one so far

    Tayler H.

  1291. Kailyn Says:

  1294. Morgan Says:

Hey, my mom had an idea…

She said that since it is “20 29″ it might be a Bible reference. I looked up every 20 29 and I don’t think I found it….so, y’all can look too.

If someone already said this/proved it wrong/something else, sorry, I am just now getting in to the conversation. :P lol.

    Morgan

  1295. Esther Says:

Kay: Yes! I was kinda dissapointed that the sluething was over by the time I got here, but hey, it’s still cool! And thank you Arielle and Lindsey H. For some reason your comments didn’t show up until today. Thank you!

  1296. Lindsey H. Says:

    Esther: You’re welcome!
Morgan: Your mom had a brilliant idea!! Tewnty29 is indeed a Bible verse! It is Proverbs 20:29.

    Abby:
Good morning! The sleuthing has been figured out (thanks to the wonderful “FBI agents” above), and above you can see the pdf file with an overview of what Alex and Brett are planning on doing. As far as what we Rebelutionaries can do, unless Alex and Brett tell us something specific, there isn’t much we can do but pray and encourage them. :) If I didn’t answer your question, post again!

  1302. Alli R. Says:

Oh boy. WHAT IN THE WORLD IS GOING ON???? Coming in just a few days late sure put me behind…… Do I need to start checking up on the Rebelution every few HOURS???? It has probably been said already what is going on if it’s been figured out, but I can’t spend hours on here reading everyones comments so what is happening? I am so confused….

Hmmm…… I did read someone say “do not click on my name”, and later that that was trying to get people to click there, so funny because I almost clicked on it just to see why I shouldn’t… hahaha… would that work for me? or should I just say bluntly,

HEY EVERYONE, CLICK ON MY NAME!!!
    ~Alli

    Alli:
Fact: Once we solved this, Brett ended the hunt and gave us http://www.therebelution.com/twenty29/twenty29.pdf

That should just about cover it :D

  1304. Elizabeth Kelley Says:

Holy smoke, my head. 1000 comments is WAY too many to read. I have to say, though, it was quite fun. Thanks to all the sleuthing people who did a lot of the work so that I could try to follow along as I did it a whopping day or two later. (You people spend FAR too much time comemnting… although, I probably would have done the exact same thing if I’d seen this when it came up.)
Brett: you and/or Alex have far too much free time for college students. Just how long did it take you to set this thing up? Thanks, though, it was a blast. I assume we’ll get more info on Twnety29 as it approaches?

  1305. Kay Morris Says:

Alli R.- I have to say that after this, I have made it my practice to check at least every day. ;) Don’t worry about reading all of the comments. The whole thing was that we Rebelutionaries had to hunt down clues to find out what Twenty29 is. We succeeded in finding this: http://www.therebelution.com/twenty29/twenty29.pdf

It is the link that will show you what Twenty29 is. Also, that was me saying not to click on my name. In truth, you really should. It will take you to an awesome site that was founded by and is run by fellow Rebelutionaries. It is a webzine and a forum and I must say (not as a writer or mod, but as a Christian and Reb) that it is really cool. I would advise you to check it out. We’d love to have you. :D

    I echo your call:

HEY EVERYONE, CLICK ON MY NAME!!! ;)

    ~Kay

  1306. Betsey K. Says:

    Wow.
So I get this email talking about a fun treasure hunt thing, and then I go to a friend’s house for 3 days (their computer doesn’t recognize the Rebelution as “safe”, what’s up with that?); I come back and it’s already over???? There are some serious sleuth people here. Great job everyone!!
The twenty29 thing looks really awesome. I can’t wait to see more unfold!

  1307. Hope Says:

  1318. Sarah Says:

Hi Guys. I just spent all morning reading the comments from this post, and the last one. I read about the first 500 from this one, and then did a search on it for “Brett Harris”. :) When you were trying to figure out “ted” from “tedding”, I knew it like 10 minutes before someone said that was it. Idk how I did that. Thanks, Brett for the hunt. I really enjoyed it. :) It definitely kept my mind off throwing up (I have the stomach virus)! So, how do we get in on going there? Thanks!

  1319. Megan Says:

Hi everyone ya’ll gave me a headache lol

  1323. Mariana Says:

Hey guys! I wanna be in! Could you please fill me in? Sounds like doing some hard things (:

  1324. Michelle =D Says:

Wow! I had no idea that my summary of the twenty29 hunt would be quoted almost 10 times on the blog!!

    that’s way cool….. hahah ;D

I wish that someone had said ‘thanks’ to me for the summary though…but I’m glad y’all found it useful.
