Video Series: Fabulous Life of a Teenager

Tuesday, April 20th, 2010

This past fall we partnered with LifeChurch.tv to create a four-part series of short videos presenting the Rebelution message for small groups, youth groups, and churches. We are thrilled with the result. LifeChurch.tv did a terrific job.

The series includes videos on topics such as “The Myth of Adolescence,” “Unlikely Heroes,” “The Launching Pad,” and “Do Hard Things.” Each video is about 5-7 minutes long — perfect for introducing people to the ideas of the Rebelution.

The curriculum also features suggested opening and closing remarks for group leaders, along with small group discussion guides for each segment. The best part, though? The series is 100 percent FREE for anyone to download and use.

To download the high-quality video files (MOV or WMV) and PDF documents, visit the LifeChurch.tv Series Page.

Switzerland in Pictures

Saturday, April 10th, 2010

We arrived home yesterday afternoon. It was an amazing time. The Rebelution is spreading among French-speaking teens! Here is Do Hard Things in French, published by Éditions Clé and the Institut Biblique de Genéve.

The day we arrived, after flying through our night and feeling the jet lag. We were all tired, but excited for the days ahead.

This is the main building at the Institut Biblique de Genéve. They hosted the event, bringing together nearly 1,000 Christian teens from Switzerland and France for a weekend of worship and teaching.

We spoke in English, with a translator — a wonderful Frenchman, Pascal Vermes. This was the Sunday afternoon session, where we shared the stories of Zach Hunter, Jaime Colman, and Austin Gutwein.

We picked up a little French — and a lot of young people could speak some English — but we were helped by our new friend Jerome. His signs say (in French), “Free translations! Do not fear the language barrier!”

Us and a group of young people after the event. We were so excited — both by the need for and the response to the message of the Rebelution. There is now a French version of this site — LaRébellution.com!

A glimpse of Switzerland, and Lake Geneva. A beautiful country — and as in the Reformation, a place where God is working! Soli Deo gloria!
