Happy Mother’s Day, Mom!

No one reading this will be surprised to know that Brett’s and my mother, Sono Harris, has been a critical part of everything God has allowed us to do. “Do hard things” is the message of her life — and for over 35 years she has poured herself into her husband, her kids, and the ministry of our entire family.
Today we want to publicly wish a Happy Mother’s Day to the most wonderful mother in the world. She not only bore and birthed us (after two prior pregnancies, having twins ended her ballet career), but has faithfully raised, taught, and trained us — tending our souls, interceding for us, and pointing us to the Savior.
Us kids have always called mom the “glue” that holds everything together — and there is a lot of truth to that. But as I was meditating this past week on the blessing she has been in my life, a different analogy came to mind — one that is equally true.
In John 12:24, Jesus, speaking of Himself, said that unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains a single grain. For as long as I can remember, our mother has modeled Christ to us by daily, moment by moment, year after year, laying her life down for God and her family — and Christ has taken those countless sacrifices and turned them into great fruit. If you have been blessed by the work of the Rebelution, you have participated in the fruit of her love and labor.
As some of you may have heard already, about a week and a half ago, mom was diagnosed with an advanced stage of colon cancer. She is pursuing alternative treatment and all of us remain hopeful that she can and will beat it. Mom is a strong lady — and we serve a wise, loving, and sovereign God.
We covet your prayers for the days ahead. Pray for our father as he seeks to care for his wife, while continuing to pastor, parent, and provide. Pray for us kids as we seek to support and encourage our mom. Pray for the Rebelution as Brett and I seek to remain faithful to our mother and our ministry. Most importantly, pray for our mom — that Christ would heal, comfort, strengthen, and provide for her every need.
Happy Mother’s Day, Mom! We love you!

I just heard about your mother’s diagnosis on another blog. I felt led to share with you that my husband has been very ill for the past year. We still don’t know if he has primary CNS lymphoma, sarcoidosis, multiple scerlosis, or something else. However, a friend of ours was diagnosed with melanoma that had metastisized to her liver and at least twenty lymph nodes last fall. She began the Gerson Therapy and within three months of being on the therapy, her doctor said she was healed. Although, he still thinks the therapy is “quackery”. Of course she will have to be on it for at least a year to truly be healed, and then she will need to maintain a healthy lifestyle continually. My husband and I have been on the therapy since March 15, 2010 and so far we are seeing amazing results. I know the Lord leads us down different paths, but I felt led to share this with you and this is the only website I could find to contact any of you. Feel free to contact me with any questions at any time. We will be praying for your family. With love in Christ, Denise and Trent Reed

Having had the blessing of meeting your mom, I have absolutely no doubt that all those things are true.
You all have been blessed. I know this is a very difficult time for you all and am praying that He is glorified through it all. He knows what is best… and I have a personal preference (as I’m sure you do), but I know that He will do all things for His glory and trust Him in that. Love you guys. Praying for you all. If there is anything I can do, don’t hesitate to let me know. Hang in there!
God bless,

I’ll totally be praying as I know what this is like. My mom was diagnosed with cancer about two years ago. It has been two years of ups and downs, but as you said, we serve a sovereign God. It’s the most amzing comfort to know that whatever is happening is for our whole family’s good and His glory, and that He is doing this because He loves us!
God bless your whole family on this journey ahead,

Hey boys!
Sounds like your mother is pretty awesome! I will be prying for her and y’all (the family) through this season in your life. I must ask, where did she do ballet? Did she teach or dance with a company? I ask because I am a ballerina, and am going to try out for a professional company in January. There is a Christian Ballet company in Jackson, MS, called Ballet Magnificat that I want to dance with.
Happy mothers day Mrs Harris!

This is Denise Reed again. I commented earlier about the fact that my husband and I are on the Gerson Therapy. I can’t believe that I forgot to tell you this, but a close friend of ours has a sister-in-law that was diagnosed with state IV colon cancer in January. She followed the Buddwig Diet and as of February, her doctors declared her cancer-free. From what I know, the Buddwig Diet is easier to follow than the Gerson Therapy. I also should have told you that, if interested, you can check out the Gerson Therapy at http://www.gerson.org. Also, you can search on youtube.com and find many videos of people who have been healed of many types of end-stage cancer on the therapy. May the Lord bless your family and shine His face upon you continually. With love in Christ, Denise & Trent Reed

I will be praying for your family! A member of our family was diagnosed in fall of last year with terminal cancer. By God’s grace alone, he is still with us. I believe that his battle has strengthened my family’s faith over the past few months. May we always remember that God has everything under control, and is working everything for His own glory.

Dear Mrs. Harris,
Greetings!
When we received the news here in the Philippines about your recent ‘challenge’, my heart was compelled to ask, ‘WHY’? However, this led me then to tell myself that the Lord is in control of all my questions on this recent advisory. The only answer I could allow myself to absorb is, our Lord is definitely in control and will be with you all in this ‘challenge’. Be assured that you have a lot of prayer intercessors who will go through with you and your family in these times. Take heart and we are one with you in moments like these.
With much love here in the Philippines,
Melody Remorca with my husband Royce and kids, Ezekiel, Ruth and Elizabeth

Dearest Family of God,
My heart is grieved and yet I know we do serve a MIGHTY and WONDERFUL GOD!!! He is our Heavenly Father, King, and Beautiful Savior! We will pray faithfully for you as a family.
I know you don’t know me, and I also know you may be getting loads of advice. May I please be permitted to suggest something, since you have already said you are trying alternative methods?
I want to talk to some friends of ours also and get back to you, but one thing I know has saved many, many lives from the ravages of cancer, is switching to a completely raw food diet. I wouldn’t say this is for everyone or even necessarily for always, but definitely for now. If your precious mother could begin to eliminate all processed foods, sugar, grains, most cooked foods, that will help immensely!
It isn’t easy and in fact, she will feel worse at first, I believe it is going to help her so much in fighting this awful cancer. She will need much support, love, encouragement and of course, mostly, prayer! Please give it a wholehearted try. Also, I realize that God’s will be done no matter what, But Lord willing, she can beat this!
We will keep you lifted up daily and get others praying also!
We love you and know God does sooo much more! Hang tough and lean upon your Loving, gracious, and forever merciful God. He is GOOD!
God Bless you. Please keep us updated. I will write back, if I may.
HAPPY MOTHER”S DAY TO A WOMAN WHO IS BEING USED GREATLY OF GOD AND EXEMPLIFIES HIM IN HER LLFE! KEEP UP TERRIFIC WORK. Cling to HIM!

Hi guys,
I just heard about your mother. I am so, so sorry. I will continue to pray for your family. Your mom sounds like ‘one of a kind’. I’m sure that many of us have that special mother, too, so we know exactly how you feel about your mom. Thanks for letting us know. We all will be praying for your family.

That was a really great blog about your mom! She must be an amazing woman of God! I am very sorry to hear about her illness. I will be praying for her and for your whole family. I recently read a great book called The Same Kind of Different as Me by Denver Moore and Ron Hall. In the book, Denver said at one point, “When you is precious to God, you become real important to the Devil.” I think this proves true of your mom. She is very precious to God. And that makes her very important to the Devil. I’m praying that God will bless her and the whole family immensely during this time and carry you all through.
May 10th, 2010 at 7:40 am
I will definately be in prayer for your mother as well as your family through this trial. May God bless you all.

As a family we will pray for God’s intervention and reversal/healing of this diagnosis and that Sono would live many more happy years watching the fruits of her labor continue to grow and bear even more fruit for our Savior.
Her values instilled in you have brought countless blessings to our family in the many books we’ve read by both you and your brother.
May the Lord give you all peace that passes understanding as you face the days ahead.

I just prayed for your whole family!! I know God can heal (He healed my mom of a nerve disease several years ago - a disease that was supposedly never going to go away and would cause her severe pain)!!!

Your mother is exactly what a mom should be! That’s awesome! You have got a lot of prayers flying your way!
May 10th, 2010 at 9:25 am
Alex and Brett,
Your whole family has been such an inspiration to so many, including me… I praise God for the example your mother set for you, and that you in turn set for rebelutionaries around the world. I am praying earnestly for your family and your mom as she battles with cancer. Thank you for this lovely tribute to her.
Soli Deo gloria!

Alex and Brett,
I just wanted to let you know that I will definitely be praying. I know what it is to see a parent suffer like that.
You have blessed me so much, and I really pray that God will bless you in return. Thanks for posting this: it is encouraging to see others publicly blessing their parents.

I will be praying! My grandfather was diagnosed with cancer in his kidneys last fall, and he has been undergoing treatments since then. Recently we found it has spread…but we know God is in total control, and there’s such peace in that. So know that there are many people (christians!) who are going through the same thing and will be praying for your mom and your family!

WOW! Yes, I did hear about your dear mother having cancer, but I did not hear what kind…. that is until I read your sweet post for Mother’s day! I keep telling myself WOW, because when I was 9 or 10 my mother had stage 3 colon cancer!!!!! I know what your family is going through and your dear mother too! it is such a hard time in her life and your familys too for sure, but God is soverign over everything and everything that comes to pass is all for His glory! I thought I would share some verses that I found helpful through hard times like this:
“Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time He may exalt you, Casting all your anxieties on Him, because he cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:6-7
“Seek the Lord and His strength; seek His presence continually!” 1 Chronicles 16:11
“Fear not for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
Isaiah 41:10
I am 19 now, and my mother has been cancer free for 8 years now (9 in August), and the Lord has blessed me with my mother and being able to learn so much from her these many years, after almost loosing her twice, she is such a blessing and my closest friend!
I love her SOOOOOOOOOO much!
I and my family are praying for y’all during this trial God has place you in, and may you continually stand fast to our Lord and Savior!
A sister in Christ,
Miss Antoinette

You and your family are in my prayers. So often we cannot understand why the gracious Lord would allow things like this to happen, but we remain steadfast in the knowledge that, “all things work together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purposes.” (Romans 8:28) The Enemy desires to use this to His advantage, allowing anxiety, fear, and even anger to reign in your lives, but the Lord wants to use this for your good and His own glory. We serve a awesome God, and He imparts great peace to those who unfailingly trust Him.
Much Love and Prayer,
Miss Tabitha
May 10th, 2010 at 11:30 am
I did forget to mention that if your mother has any questions about alternative choices (such as herbs, diet, or anything else) to feel free to ask, or e-mail me and my mother can e-mail her some ideas to try.
My mother did not use alternative medicine when she had cancer (we did not have that mindset back then), but if it happened again she would do it no other way than from what the Lord has given us in our backyards and other natural ways of fighting cancer!
If we could be of any service, please don’t hesitate to ask!
Love in Christ,
Miss Antoinette

Hello Alex and Brett,
Your family has been in my prayers every night since I heard the news. All of you have touched our family’s lives and it is the least I can do to pray for you all. I’m hoping that all goes well, and we will get to see you all again this September. My family and I cherish your mother as I know you do too. We love you guys and everything is in God’s hands,

Happy Mother’s Day, Mrs. Harris! I have been praying for you as well as your family since I learned that you are dealing with an illness. Divine caresses come in different forms, and I hope you take much comfort in the knowledge that the Father in heaven has lovingly caressed you to draw you nearer to Him.
Take care and stay blessed.
May 11th, 2010 at 11:49 am
Wow…I will be praying. I can’t imagine facing this kind of challenge; but I do know the blessing of a godly mom, and I can imagine the blessing that Mrs. Harris is to the whole Harris family, and her amazing influence on them. Thanks to Mrs. Harris for raising Alex and Brett (and all the others) and to all our moms for loving us and caring for us!
May 11th, 2010 at 1:11 pm
I have just added Mrs Harris to my daily prayer list. We have had several really close friends dealing with cancer, and I know how hard the uncertainty is. Thank you so much Mrs Harris for the wonderful influence you have been on Brett and Alex and through them, thousands around the world.
God bless you all!
My comfort in my suffering is this:

Happy Mother’s day to Mrs. Harris!
I’m sorry to hear of her sickness, My dad was diagnosed almost 1year ago with advanced cancer, he’s been doing an alternative treatment and is doing great! Praise the Lord! He’s also had LOTS of prayer!!!!! that’s what works. We’ll be praying.
May 11th, 2010 at 4:36 pm
We just got the news today about your mom. What a beautiful tribute to her. We will pray continually for her healing and for God’s peace to be with your whole family during this very difficult time.
May 11th, 2010 at 5:09 pm
I agree with Denise reed about the Gershon therapy. My dad has prostate cancer and is currently doing the Gershon therapy. His mother, his only sister, an aunt, and three of his cousins all died from different kinds of cancer. They all tried different kinds of medical treatments but nothing worked so he wants to do this Gershon therapy to give them some hope that you can survive cancer. Through being healed with the Gershon therapy, he will be able to share the gospel with his family and how Christ works in his life. Anyway, I really hope you guys make good decisions on what treatment to do with you mom.
May 11th, 2010 at 5:32 pm
What a great pic and what a beautiful tribute. I will definately be praying for your mom and your family. My mom is a cancer survivor and I will never forget the experience of having our lives absolutely turned upside-down. But God used that for good, just as I’m sure He will use this situation. My family has grown so much closer to God, my mom has had three children post-cancer (having had four already!), she is my best friend in the whole world, and God has given our family purpose. He used momma getting cancer and how the body of Christ reached out to us during that time to make my parents rethink the seriousness of living for Christ as if there’s no tomorrow. My dad is now a pastor and God has used us as a family in ways I never could have imagined!
May God bless you all!!! Please keep us updated about your mom!

Dear Lord, I pray right now, right here on this blog, for you to uplift and comfort the Harris family. I thank you for their willingness to serve you and reach others. I pray you would be with them, specifically Mrs. Harris. Lord, You know exactly what she’s going through and I ask that You would touch her and heal her. I ask that You would pour out love and blessings on the whole family, that they would feel Your presence during these trying times. All praise be to our Healer, amen.

Blessings to your family. I just lost my mom after a battle with lung cancer. But she was a strong Christian and is with Jesus now….how do those without hope do it?
I wanted to let you know I am giving you a blog award tomorrow on my blog. You are an inspiration to so many young (and, old, like myself) people who want to please God.
Thank you.

God bless the productive Harris fammy.

I’m sorry to hear that. I’m very close to my mom as well and I can’t imagine having this happen to our family, but I’m thankful that you all have Christ to lean on and can make it through this. I’ll be praying!

Merci seigneur!!!

Praying for your mom and for your family, Alex and Brett!
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong. ~ 2 Corinithians 12:9-10

I’ll be praying for your mom!!! My mom was diagnosed two years ago with stage four kidney cancer. The doctor gave her 10 months to live. But God is in control! After a year and half without any treatment (chemo and radiation) she only has two tumors out of five!!!! God is bigger than cancer!!!!!!! One thing that really got me through that time was the saying, “Everything God does is for our good and His glory.”
Romans 8:28

I will be praying for both of you and your family.
May 16th, 2010 at 7:32 pm
Wow… my heart goes out to you both and your families! I was wondering what I should say, if anything. Just wanted to tell you, we have gotten much inspiration from your family…with homeschooling conventions (that your parents came and talked at) and the Do Hard Things book. Praying for you all… that you and your families faith will be made strong in the Lord. Keep looking up to Jesus! Prayers! ~Caitlin

God can do miracles! God recently healed a woman in our church who had a brain tumor. It looked like it was inoperable and untreatable. The doctors weren’t very optimistic- and everyone was wondering how much longer she had. Well, she asked prayer for her upcoming doctor’s visit that would tell her how long she had and what she could do- if anything- about the cancer. Well, she went- and the doctor found NOTHING! No cancer! It was a miracle! God’s plan may be different for your mom, but we do know that God still works wonders- when it seems He’s far away.
I have told some friends about your mom and we will pray for her often. You’re in my thoughts and prayers,

I will be praying for your mom’s health and for the rest of your family! It is encouraging to hear she is looking for alternative treatments. Alternative medicine is my passion, actually, and what I will by studying for in college, having witnessed its effectiveness my entire life. In fact, the right side of my face should be pretty scarred up from a serious bicycle accident when I was nine but for the healing properties of comfrey and vitamin E!
Check out http://foodmatters.tv/. There is a good bit of information and resources there about alternative medicine. There is a dvd out called Food Matters that a group of healthcare professionals and nutritionists - including Charlotte Gerson, founder of the Gerson Institute - that have converted to natural medicine, contributed to to bring attention to natural healing and the weak areas of modern medicine. They talk some about different types of cancer treatments, such as the Gerson therapy, vitamin C therapy, and a raw food diet. My best friend’s dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer a few months back, and he has been on the Gerson therapy.
I completely agree with Christian in the previous comment that moms are amazing! I know mine is, and it sounds like yours is incredible too!

i’m so sorry to hear the news about your mom. GOD always has great purposeful reasons why HE allows things to happen. she is obviously a great mother and wife! i, too, have been blessed by you, guys and your brother Joshua and i know your mom is behind you and helped you in your journey with CHRIST. may GOD continue to strengthen her and your whole family’s faith. may you all continue to grow in HIM.
“but the crowds learned about it and followed him. He welcomed them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who needed healing.” (Luke 9:11-NIV)
i am praying for your mom.
GOD bless you!

“Jesus Draw Me Ever Nearer”
Jesus draw me ever nearer
As I labour through the storm.
You have called me to this passage,
and I’ll follow, though I’m worn.
May this journey bring a blessing,
May I rise on wings of faith;
And at the end of my heart’s testing,
With Your likeness let me wake.
Jesus guide me through the tempest;
Keep my spirit staid and sure.
When the midnight meets the morning,
Let me love You even more.
Let the treasures of the trial
Form within me as I go -
And at the end of this long passage,
Let me leave them at Your throne.
May this journey bring a blessing,
May I rise on wings of faith;
And at the end of my heart’s testing,
With Your likeness let me wake.

Also, I watched this TV episode and it reminded me of what you guys are doing. Teens are so underestimated, but they are the next generation of leaders, and they need all the help they can get!

I heard about your mum on another blog a few weeks ago… although I don’t personally know her, I know that she is a wonderful woman — I mean, how else would you two brothers have taken this major step in changing the world? I’ve been praying, and will continue to pray, for your mother.
And just because, I’d like to share a verse that I remember and recite all the time — Psalm 62:8 … and also Jeremiah 29:11. They’re both comforting, helpful verses to me.

I just saw this…my family and I are all praying for your mom!
Your parents had an incredible impact on my family’s life. My three younger sisters wouldn’t have been born if my parents didn’t hear your mom and dad speak on the open womb. Homeschooling 5 of us probably wouldn’t have happened either. The way they think as Christians and the way they’ve raised us, they credit a lot of it to Gregg and Sono Harris! Your family means an awful lot to all of us…you are a big blessing to my family, to me, and I know many others as well. May God grant your dad especially, but all of you the strength, courage, wisdom and faith to deal with this new issue in life. May He grant full healing to your mom and physical strength to her to endure and overcome this cancer.
God bless!

Dear Alex and Brett,
You guys have been such an encouragement and an inspiration to live life pursuing God’s bigger plans. It became easier to dream because of your book and I am deeply thankful to you all for that, especially to your mother. I might not have had the opportunity to know her personally but reading through your beliefs and values, and listening to your teachings of faith, assures me that I am right to say that she is a great woman, beautiful in all its definitions, kind, warm and loving. She might have cancer but we have a God who thinks the hard things for us is easy for Him. Nothing is impossible and surely cancerous growths in the colon is none compared to the one who shaped the earth and became our world. We have Him and we will rest in that thought. I pray with all my heart that even if it is hard to understand sickness, we be given the grace to believe more and hope in Him. You are not alone in this Alex, Brett. You have a wonderful family, genuine friendships you can always rely on, a community who prays with you and the Lord who never fails. He always listens and He is never lacking.
Happy Mother’s Day. My friends and I are praying for her and your family. Like everything you say in her way of life, she will dance through this gracefully, thankful to be your mother, thankful to love the best that she could and to be loved the best because of who you all are in Him.
Much love from the Philippines,
Therese

Just heard about your mother’s diagnosis. She sounds like such a wonderful woman! I’m so sorry this happened. I know you must feel a little hopeless right now. Several years ago, my mom was diagnosed with a rare type of skin cancer in her face that was usually not curable. The first thing she did after she found out was to turn on praise music and worship God. I was younger then, and it was scary to see my mom go through treatments and be sick all the time, but now she’s made a complete recovery! God healed her in ways the doctor couldn’t and I am so grateful. I will keep your whole family in my prayers. Thank you for inspiring us; now it’s time for us to return the favor.

I just last week started reading your book, Do Hard Things. You guys are truly amazing and definitely people I look up to. This is my first time on this site, and I read this post and my heart dropped when I read your mom was diagnosed with colon cancer. I lost my dad in January to colon cancer, but don’t lose hope. Just pray and pray, that’s all you can do. She might not go through all that my dad did, but if she does, keep hope. It will be hard to see her in pain, but if God wants her here, then He’ll keep her here. She sounds like an incredible person! Please keep us posted on how she’s doing, because this is something that I am a little sensitive about, I guess you could say. I’m keeping your family in my prayers, and thank you for all that you’ve done and how you’ve inspired me.

Alex and Brett,
I can not tell you how much the Rebelution and also Joshua Harris’ ministry has changed my life for the better! It is so awesome to see Christian men who honor and respect the women in their lives and have a passion for life and others. Please know that your mother and the rest of your family are in my prayers!

I’ll leave a website for you to look at. It mentions many different alternative treatments for cancer including Gerson terapy, Budwig diet, raw foods and also others. There are suggestions for specific types and stages of cancer also. http://www.cancertutor.com I hope it helps and will be praying.

I will be praying for your family. I pray the glue that keeps your family together during this time is the comfort and healing power of Jesus and that you will feel Him closer to you than your next breath. God bless you as you continue on in your ministry! I pray this will be a fruitful time for all the Harris’ in their various endeavors in ministry!

What a difficult time your family must be going through! God uses hard times to draw His children closer to him. I believe that through this time your family’s faith will grow stronger. I had a grandpa that died of lung cancer in 2004, I don’t know if he was saved or not. His lifestyle was poor and he seemingly rejected God. How wonderful to have the reassurance that, if your mom does die, you’ll see her again in heaven!

just got home from the Do Hard Things conference in Edmonton AB. totally stoked
and strengthened by what i learned today. a quote that for me seems to sum up the rebelutionary attitude: ‘Lord, let me make a difference for You that is utterly disproportionate to who I am.’ - Pastor John Piper
Praying for your mother, you guys, and your family in this difficult time. Hope you have a safe trip home, and thanks for taking time to minister to us.
June 10th, 2010 at 10:40 am
I recently learned about your ministry and it’s truly a blessing! My daughter and I are learning a lot from your book ‘Do Hard Things’. I’d like to tell you that I’m praying for your mom and your entire family so that the Lord can work wonders in the midst of this difficult situation. Also, I came across some information on HOW USEFUL BAKING SODA (or SODIUM BICARBONATE) can be for TREATING CANCER. Please do some research on your own since the info I got is in Spanish and it’s better if you found out for yourselves. God works in mysterious ways, as we all know! Just remember king Hezekiah’s case! (2 Kings 20:7) I have never heard of this before but as I was reading it, your mom came to mind. God bless you and continue to use your mom and all your family for His Glory!

I took my youth to your Surrey BC Do Hard Things conference. The event was fantastic. When it was mentionned that your mom was sick, not only did my heart go out to you, but it put great credibility to the words you were sharing with me and my teens. You were doing a Hard Thing in the midst of a time of grief. Matthew 14 highlights a similar time as Jesus heard of the beheading of his cousin John. While Jesus attempted to withdraw in order to be refreshed by His Father, the crowds and their need advanced upon Him. In spite of popular opinion, Jesus “had compassion” on them and met their needs. Jesus eventually got His time to be with His Father. Our hope and prayers are for your mom and family. Thank you for having compassion on us and feeding us and we trust that Our Father will supply what you need. Peace.

That sounds so sweet! And that’s a great family picture. I will be praying for your mother-for her to heal, to take care of the family, & to know how great her children are. You guys are amazing and doing a lot more than a lot of teens are IMAGINING doing. : ) You guys earned all the publicity you’re getting!! You guys are awesome!!

I’m definitely praying for you all. Thank you so much for your ministry and for all the ways you have ministered to the body of Christ over the years. And thank you for the way you are now stepping back from the spotlight (so to speak) to care for your mother. That is a wonderful testimony. We love you all and are praying for you.

That is so sweet!! It has been years since I have done anything sweet for my mother. My mom is deciding to homeschool me and my little brother. I”m so sorry for your terrible loss Bret and Alex. But I also share this sadness too! My mother died of terrible eye cancer when I was just 1yr old. But when I was born her I blew up (literally). We didn’t get to spend much time together and I was little! The funny thing is to my Dad is a Pastor to…. We are “PK’s”
July 27th, 2010 at 2:16 pm
“Alternative Medicine” is never a good answer. I had a family member who was convinced that this was the answer, and not traditional methods, and she went to a clinic in Mexico and spend TONS of money for nothing. They even put her “testimonial” online saying she was doing well even as she was dying. We later found out that ALL of the people who had testimonials online had already died.
It’s a money making scam! Traditional medicine has much better results!
