Check Out Film Festival Live Blog

Attention all aspiring filmmakers! We want to bring your attention to the sixth annual San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival. This event, running this whole weekend, will bring together Christian filmmakers from around the globe.
Last year the Best of Festival, $101,000 cash award went to long-time rebelutionary and friend John Moore for his feature film The Widow’s Might.
This year our brother Isaac is continuing the Harris family tradition of live-blogging the festival on his blog — along with his (and our) good friend Christian Edmonds.
If you like filmmaking (or just great family films), don’t miss this coverage!

Oh, how I would love to go some day! But until then I must be content with the live coverage. Thanks for doing it, Isaac!

I agree with Michelle. It is awesome that Isaac gets to go every year. I do not make movies, but I think it would be neat just to go and get to hear the speakers, see the films, and such.

That is awesome that Isaac goes every year! I don’t make movies myself but I certainly enjoy watching them - especially when they’re great, family-friendly ones! It would be cool to go sometime. =P

Film’s a medium that can definitely use some more artistically gifted Jesus-people. I pray that their message gets out to those who need to hear it!

I know this is kinda random and doesn’t have to do with the post, but I don’t know what else to do. God placed an idea on my heart. It’s a company where I sell piggy banks and then donate the profit to the persecuted church in Asia. I got it all figured out with my parents and we started the company, calling it Piggies for the Persecuted. For the first couple months it was going at a steady pace, making progress. But lately life has gotten busy and the company has kinda come to a sudden halt. I want to keep moving forward, but I don’t know where to go from here. Our website has expired and we’re just stuck I guess. Any ideas?

The Book, “Do Hard Things” has inspired me to step up the level of intensity in my life, my relationship with Ma Savior, and in my band (Unchained Valor) Thanks for the Moving Words of Encouragement Brothers!

DJ,
I just want you to know that your comment is what so many other people are feeling. Their book is amazing! It inspires people to go the extra mile. I also wanted to say what a cool band name that is!! I hope you are able to share Christ with others through your ministry in music.

The film industry is a ministry that only a few brave Christians have attempted to utilize. I think more and more Christians are realizing just how powerful it is. Someone has to stand against the sin-filled flicks Hollywood often serves as entertainment. I hope to write movie reviews someday, so to all those fortunate enough to be involved with this, I say Right On!!!

P.S. Does anyone know how I can keep up with everything going on in the Independent-Christian-Film-Industry (whatever it is technically called, lol)? I would love to be able to keep up with this and pray for those working within it!!!
