J. WRITES: What hard thing(s) do you want to do? Do you want to create, build, write, read, sing, ski? In one word, what do you want to do for God’s glory?

Cool!!! ♥
Write.
Hey Anna, just curious. . .what kind of writing are you into? I also love to write.
I do as well. I would love to hear more about what you two like to write. 🙂
Oh cool Liv, what do you write?
I normally like to write short stories, but right now I am working on my first novel. Since I am a history girl, it will be set in 1910. What do you like to write, John?
I’m kind of the opposite of you. I’ve been writing a novel for a few years, but short stories are not as much my thing. (I wrote my first short story that wasn’t for school the other week.) I also really love writing poetry.
Really? That sounds really cool! Every time I try to write a novel, it doesn’t go well at all. So I am hoping this one will be different. 🙂 I have never been into writing poetry, but I like to read it sometimes. 🙂
Fiction. Nonfiction. Poetry. Fantasy/futuristic. True stories. Thoughts on Scripture. Etc.
Aka. everything? Lol
Haha not exactly but kinda…ok that makes no sense whatsoever. Sorry. I’ll try to explain…just a minute.
I have a fantasy/futuristic story in the works but it’s currently stuck because there is a problem I can’t solve at the center of the plot. I’ve written a few short stories and I’m working on another. However, I view fiction and poetry more as something I do for pleasure than something I would pour my life into. I would love to write a biography or retelling of a historical Christian figure. I’m pretty good at writing (nonfic) about historical topics. Persuasive writing makes a whole lot more sense since I recently found Aristotle’s method of persuasive speech/writing. What I really wish I could do is find a ministry or a passion for something and write to raise awareness of it/ support it. When God teaches me something from His word or gives me a different perspective on something I already knew, I usually write about it, both to get it down so I remember it better and to figure out how to articulate it to others (if appropriate). The ultimate goal of any of this being to advance the gospel and glorify God. What it comes down to is, I’m pretty sure I have a gift for writing and I’m not entirely sure what to do with it yet. ~Anna
I love writing too.
Cool beans! Lol.
What kind?
For some reason, I like writing technical articles best, mostly on forestry (my passion). I also like writing fiction.
Cool. Are you working on anything write now (pun intended)?
Yes. Two different novels, and three different articles right now.
Wow! That’s a lot. What’re your novels about?
How high expectations can change someone’s life. When I first got the idea for that book, that was not exactly what I had in mind. But it slowly drifted toward that.
Cool!
Hey John, I think that like me, you noticed that a lot of rebelutionaries like writing. Do you think that starting a website for the purpose of getting these teens together so they can share their knowledge and help each other develop their talents would be a good idea, or does it seem a little far-fetched or useless? Or does something like that already exist?
Hahahahaha. Ok. . .email me at [email protected]. We need to talk!
Actually, the idea came to me a few days ago as I was praying. Problem is, I live in western Switzerland and people who are able to help me develop my English writing talents are kind of rare. French? No problem. But English… most people here hate that language they have to learn but find so hard and illogical.
You’re from Switzerland! So cool. . .And you’ve prayed about this for a few days! Man, I’ve been thinking about this for a while, but I haven’t actually prayed at all really about it.
You’ve been thinking about it?
Mmhm
Okay. Gotta go now, but I won’t forget.
Go.

I believe that is two words 😉
Guess again. =^D The word counter on Word says it’s one word. I asked Google and it appears that hyphenated words are usually counted as one. I couldn’t think of a non-hyphenated word which conveyed the same meaning so… At least I tried… =^D
Hmmm. I didn’t know that. I guess I learn a new thing everyday! I like your word! 🙂
But… Off the record… Just between you and me…. If I wrote the rules, I’d say it is more like two words X^D
Isn’t every day two words?
Haha! You should know you’re the one who wants to *lead*. Lol 😉
Lol
I think it could count. 🙂 😉
accomplish.
Obedience.
Live 😉
Here is a blog post I wrote on Philippians 1:21, which may explain a little why I chose the word “live.”

That is a wonderful one. 🙂

Words
Do you write or do public speaking stuff?
Not public speaking exactly, but writing and discussion for the most part. 🙂
I’ve been thinking about this since yesterday and kept trying to come up with one word that would cover everything I want to do and I think that I’ve found one word that would cover all of them and that word is Christlike (Or Christ like, I normally type Christlike but Google says it can be typed both ways.) Now I’m rambling.
This might seem like an odd choice as most of the people here are typing things such as jobs they want to have or something like that, but if you really think about it this covers everything! Like being a Christlike wife, mother, writer, daughter, sister, friend etc.
Hey! We chose the same word!
Haha. Yes, we did. That’s pretty cool, I guess I’m not the only one who thought it fitting. : )
Humanitarian.
Kindness. Sincerity. (am I allowed to have two?)
BTW, love that you put ski in there. Skiing is definitely worthy of this list. 😀
Heal
Counsel or Investigate. I am stuck between jobs.
Christlike.
How do you say ‘To hard for just one person’ in one word?
Toohardforjustoneperson.
Nice
You are very welcome 🙂
I just noticed your first comment was ten hours ago. Welcome to the Reb!
Thanks!
Welcome Dan! Maybe, fellowship. . .community. . .something like that?
You might say, “difficult,” but I like The Bean’s idea. 🙂
“Difficult” definitely is true.
I just invented this word: “intractasolous”. It comes from the Latin words “intractabile” (intractable) and “solus” (alone). I anglicized it and tried to make it seem changed from years of use to make it seem more believable 🙂
It seems to correspond to your situation. Tell me if you like it.
That is an awesome word! I will have to remember that 🙂
That’s awesome.
I will also say “enjoyable”
BIG!!
Ostrich.
Excuse me?
Ostrich. No particular reason.
Lol
Passionate
Anagnosephilia
Huh?
Deep love of reading. 😉
Why didn’t I know that. . .I want to know that. That’s sad. I have that condition, and I didn’t even know it.
Haha! Yeah, well, I confess that I did google it myself, otherwise, I wouldn’t know the meaning either. 😉 But it is a great word!
Where did you learn that word?
I took/am taking Latin for several years so I can pretty accurately create the scientific terms for things… But I did check the dictionary first xD
I have that condition, that’s for sure (9000 pages per year on average)! I am also a rhinotillexomaniac.
Koala
OH MY DUDE best answer yet!
Huh?
It’s my personal fad.
I don’t know if I have any goals. But if had to describe a goal of mine in one word, it would be: Help.
Surrender.
My goal is different from others .its not just one but many ,all told to me by god .they have one thing which lead to them .Follow.
My goal is to be more like Christ, through everything I do. I want to LIVE for Jesus!! No matter what life holds.
