Doing Hard Things with a Chronic Illness with Sara Willoughby

D

How do you do hard things…when you can’t even get out of bed? Sara Willoughby—long-time rebelutionary and author of He’s Making Diamonds: A Teen’s Thoughts on Faith Through Chronic Illness—was given a few months to live at the age of 15. Over the course of several years, she was diagnosed with Lyme disease, toxic mold poisoning, and MCS. In this honest and vulnerable conversation, we talk about bringing our questions, fears, and losses to God, how to maintain your relationship with God when doing so is difficult and facing the pain of lost hopes and dreams.

  • I am Moana and I’m desperate to feel better, I saw an article I’m not sure if I’m writing to the right person. Did God really helped the 15 year old girl with Lyme, McS? Mold? I have a fungus in my lungs, besides Lyme. I don’t know how long I will live but I do feel hopeless. I attempted with my life without success and was in coma several times. My brain is giving up, too much inflammation. Is there a encouraging book you gave to that girl? I wanted too! Sights!!
